Sea Life Aquarium located inside of Concord Mills Mall in Concord, NC…read more I've lived in Charlotte most of my life and have never visited this aquarium. I'd heard mixed reviews, with the scales tipping more towards rotten tomatoes... The biggest complaint usually being that it's not worth the money. I will say, the prices are a bit steep for what you get, bluntly. But, take that statement with caution. These days, what IS cheap and/or appropriately priced. It is a bit pricey, but I tell myself that for it to be our only aquarium in Charlotte, they're holding it down, so. ‍ Now regarding the size of the aquarium, don't expect to see huge sharks & whales in these tanks, haha. Don't get me wrong, there were plenty of sharks. I'm just telling you not to go seeking a hammerhead, great white, or anything over 400lbs. Yes, 400 is considered small for a shark. It's a smaller scaled aquarium by all means. For reference, depending on your pace, you can finish the entire exhibits in about 30-40 minutes. However, considering that it's in a mall, there's not much room to criticize or complain about that fact. When we went, the baby of the family was celebrating her birthday, this aquarium hit all the right notes for her & that is good enough of a win for the rest of us, . We did the Beyond The Surface Tour which was a 30 minute guided tour showing the behind the scenes of how the aquariums' water system works, how they prepare food for their residents, etc. ending with an aerial view of the main tank called the Ocean Tank. Seeing the animals from this angle WAS cool, gotta admit. Notably, the staff were extremely friendly and informed. Every employee we encountered was able to give us a fact about the animals or their lives, as well as a good attitude received from every person. In conclusion, I would go again as it was a fun time with family, we all left feeling like we'd had fun, and that's the whole point!

Fun exhibits especially for kids. I got cheaper tickets on Groupon. Would recommend for anyone…read morelooking for something to do around the Charlotte area. It's a little drive out of the city, but not terrible.

It's been a while since I reviewed Great Wolf Lodge and I wanted to update because some things are…read moreslightly different. First, this is still a great place for the kids, especially the younger ones up to about middle school age. There is a lot to do and plenty of fun to be had. I also think it's a decent bargain compared to something like a beach trip which is it's biggest competition in NC at least. The fact that it's easier and simpler for the parents to just do everything under one roof is another bonus compared to another type of trip. There are some negatives: the price for everything goes up and it's harder to find bargain deals but they do still exist if you're flexible on dates especially. The place is also showing it's age ever so slightly and could use with some touch ups or even new features in a few places. They have updated some areas: the laser tag and 3d/vr adventure are both refreshed and both are nice - bring tennis shoes by the way, or you won't be able to participate in these. Things like the $20 parking are a bit annoying given it's just an open parking lot like any hotel and literally every guest is parking because it's a destination hotel.

Kids loved it. For the price and convenience it was…read morecompletely acceptable. Magiquest was a hit (though a bit over stimulating for me). My big complaint... the lines for a ride (requires yellow tubes) stopped moving for over 20 minutes on Sunday. A line built up and a whole bunch of people were waiting. Finally the woman ahead of us got mad and moved up to inquire and then and only then did the employee tending to that line tell anyone that the ride was shut down. WHY WOULDN'T YOU SAY SOMETHING TO THE PEOPLE OBVIOUSLY WAITING FOR IT before someone asked?!?! Wasted a TON of people's time. Frankly the staff who ran that line needs to be reprimanded. It was a safety issue too as everyone had giant yellow floats in hand in a full staircase with people pushing back down the line. The service of all the checkout staff in the stores was amazing. It was often hectic and busy but they were all cool and calm and helpful.

During the time he was there, I didn't see much educational growth or development. I also found the facility to be lacking in cleanliness on multiple occasions, which was concerning for a childcare environment. The final straw came when my son came home and told me that one of his teachers had squeezed his hand hard enough to hurt him. The next day, I went to the daycare to report the incident. I was told they would review the camera footage and call me back to discuss what happened. I never received a call. I returned the following day for an update and was told they hadn't contacted me because they thought someone else in the office had. The lack of communication and urgency regarding a report involving a child's safety was extremely concerning. I was never given a clear explanation of what happened or even told which teacher was involved. As a parent, that experience was upsetting and left me with very little confidence in the daycare's ability to handle serious concerns appropriately. I also found some staff members to be unapproachable and unhelpful throughout our time there, and they often gave the impression that they did not enjoy being there. The only positive aspect was the convenience of the location in our neighborhood. Otherwise, based on my personal experience, I would encourage parents to carefully consider other childcare options if communication, cleanliness, accountability, and their child's well-being are priorities.

There are Indoor, family and handicap-friendly bathrooms right off the parking lot. We started with the awesome playground. I think it's great for kids between 2- to 7-years old. Older kids may not find it as exciting. There is a special Toddler area with two play Barnes, a music-making area and two toddler swings. I would love if they added extra toddler swings. Yall know how hard it is to get a toddler to take turns, so the line was a little long. This playground also has 4 big kid swings and a handicap-friendly swing. If you follow the trail past the tennis courts, there is another play area with a super-cool climbing theme. It has an actual climbing wall and a climbing structure with a curvy slide. My 3 year old was able to navigate it with a little coaching. We wrapped up the visit with a walk around the trail. It is mostly paved with some gravel areas. We had no problem pushing the kids' wagon around. They added several nice benches throughout the park. They also added location signs for safety. The picturesque bridges would be great for photos. Extra note, you can play Frisbee golf throughout the park, just follow the trail. They have two picnic shelters, one large and one small. There is also a lot of clear, open space. They did a great job with the renovation and we can't wait to go back.

Easy hassle free process, everything seemed clean and in order, staff were super nice and seemed like they actually enjoyed their jobs and interacting with the kids! Oftentimes, when going to these trampoline parks the staff are young kids with attitudes that seem more interested in huddling up to gossip rather than be bothered. I'm so happy that was not the case here! I'm not sure if it's just for the summer, but on Wednesday's they have all you can play in all areas for 3hrs, just for $25! What a great deal. Unfortunately, my little one was pooped after about 2hrs and was ready to go! It's still a good deal because he did everything they had to offer, zip lining, dodge ball, interactive games, basketball, trampolines, obstacle course, and more! We went early, around noon to beat the crowd, they open at 11/11:30, so by the time we were leaving, traffic picked up quite a bit. I can not say enough about the young adults working here, they were so attentive, they interacted with the children, they played games with the kids, I mean it was a pleasure to watch the young man play dodge ball with the kids, all while still gently enforcing the rulesand keeping everything safe and in order. The young lady that was at the front desk and checked us in was a sweetheart, kudos to the workers at this location, they're kids as well but respectable and responsible! We'll def be back, and next time, I might get in there and enjoy a round of dodge ball!

Clever idea (although I did not use). + I didn't see any bugs! Not-So-Good: - Didn't have that wonderful "clean smell" I got in all the other hotels I stayed in. The hallways & room was stuffy/not fresh. - Huge white stain on couch. I kept telling myself: "No big deal." But it kept bothering me. Needless to say, I did not sit on the couch! - Minor repairs needed -like TP holder & network wires hanging out of the wall. This could be a hazard to toddlers. I can't imagine why this was not corrected. -Bed & pillows were okay. Not the comfiest. I thought it just wasn't like home, until I compared with other hotels on my trip. -The TV is really outdated. The Speedway Club somehow has no drawbacks at all. The view of the track is amazing, and the food and drinks are delicious and very reasonably priced (and you get a LOT of food!). I went here with family for my birthday, and it exceeded everyone's expectations. My dad uses a power wheelchair, and it was not a problem at all for the Speedway Club - they were able to get us an easy table that didn't require any steps, and were also very helpful on the phone when I called ahead to ask about accessibility! The food was all fabulous, but a standout favorite was definitely the short rib - I would highly recommend anyone coming here for the first time to try it. I also loved the Burning Maple, a new fall drink - it's a delightful bourbon based drink with a perfect mix of bourbon flavor and sweetness from the maple. Our server, Aubrey, went above and beyond for us - she was incredibly attentive and kind, and SO helpful! I will absolutely be coming back in the near future - this was maybe the best restaurant experience I've had in Charlotte besides being proposed to.

The food wasn't served warm, and the spinach was extremely bitter--almost inedible. I ended up sending the dish back and trying the Cajun shrimp ravioli (the ravioli had cheese and spinach in them and shrimp was the protein mixed with the ravioli) instead, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, that dish missed the mark as well. It was overwhelmingly spicy--so much so that it took away from any enjoyment of the meal. I am not sure if these are regular menu items as this was on 02/13/26 so it could have been the Valentine's Day prefixed menu, no idea, but it wasn't a great meal. Overall, the quality and execution just weren't there, especially for a place with this kind of reputation.
