They were very accommodating each time we got rained out with picking out a new date. They went the extra mile in the planning stage, from scouting out a potential photoshoot site ahead of time, to suggesting times when our photo shoot location (the Arb) would be less crowded, to helping brainstorm ideas to make the photoshoot unique to us. My fiance and I are not big PDA people and were feeling a bit awkward and nervous about doing a photoshoot in a public space, but from the start, Abben and Lily made us feel comfortable. Day of, they helped directed us in natural-looking poses and providing fun suggestions that had us laughing, which made for some wonderful pictures and good memories behind those photos. Abben and Lily both have a fabulous artistic eye for photo composition, and they truly listen and integrate your goals for the photoshoot. They make the photoshoot unique to you. After the shoot, their downloading interface is extremely easy to use, and they are prompt in their photo delivery (ours were delivered in little over two weeks). In terms, of price, they are a true steal for the high quality work they do! We are so happy and feel very blessed to have had Abben and Lily document these memories for us, and would have hired them to do our wedding too if it were taking place in Michigan. These two are gifted artists, and we heartily recommend them to everyone!

But know…read morethat with his attention to detail, his knowledge of DSLRs, and his eye for aesthetics, I would be giving this business a 5-star rating after my session with him even if he had been hired as a stranger. So Abben, my fiance at the time to whom I was newly engaged, and I all happened to live in different states - which made scheduling an engagement photoshoot difficult. So what better time than a shoot on the sandy beaches of the Dominican Republic while on a family vacation? To avoid unflattering shadows, the best times for a shoot are sunrise or sunset, and sunrise is definitely easier to have the beach of a resort all to yourself. But alas, cloudy weather for the only two mornings we had free! Abben not only woke up at 4:00 two mornings in a row with us but dealt with the tricky situation like a champ. After processing the photos, we were really impressed with the adjustments he had made. And speaking of editing, let's just say a long bike ride and insufficient sunscreen led to some awkward tan lines all over my back and shoulders that he also magically erased like a pro. Note that even though Lily wasn't able to be there for our shoot, normally both photographers would be present for double the awesomeness. That makes their pricing an amazing deal because most photographers would charge extra for another camera. Abben & Lily's style tends to be more posed for something like a photoshoot but more photojournalistic for an event. This is helpful for those who aren't trained models (most people) or maybe even hate being in front of a camera because you'll receive great instructions so you feel less awkward. And for an event, they'll blend into the background but still get all the pics you need. Look through the portfolio for these two and you'll see that they pour their hearts plus all their creative juices into their work. The only reason we didn't go with them for our wedding photography was that Abben was in the wedding party, and I wanted him to enjoy himself at the wedding. They make the process very easy from the beginning to the end. We booked early and were able to take advantage of discounts the earlier you schedule the sessions. They offer many types from simple portrait session for the yearbook to outdoor, even beach trips! Michele did my daughters makeup and was so pleasant and helpful. It's nice to have that option and not worry about that on her day. She made her look so natural but brought out all her best features. Sarah took her photos and I could not thank her enough for making my daughter have a day to feel completely beautiful. You can see how comfortable she made her feel in every photo. Her confidence was captured in the photos. When it came time to order Julie sat with us and was so patient and helpful. There are so many package options that you really can plan anything you want. The quality of the photos are gorgeous and it really just goes to show the time and effort they put into their work. I feel the way they made my daughter feel so special is how you wish all your kids could feel for a day, and I will definitely be returning to get my son's here.

My favorite part of Sarah's work is that she captured all of the details of our day that I was not able to witness being the busy bride. One thing that I appreciated hearing from her is that anytime I needed a break, I could let her know. That gave me a lot of ease and I felt comfortable telling her when I needed a break or when things were too much. She's very intuitive in that way. She let the bridal party take breaks and she checked in with me when needed about what was next. She worked well with other vendors. Her close up photography is outstanding with details...ties, jewelry, vows, you name it. Outstanding and incredible. Overall, communication was decent leading up to the wedding. She reliably responded to emails within 24 hrs business day which I appreciated because many of my vendors weren't that way. The not so good: Holly uses a clunky program to communicate via email with her clients. Even though she reliably responded within 24 hours, searching our emails with her and viewing things like our invoice and our contract was a pain. You have to create usernames and passwords, and reading previous emails with her were a mess to search and read. Her program isn't user/client friendly. I am totally 100% for businesses to document things in writing so I get why she uses the program, but it's just a poor program. The best case in point about this is that the program automatically generated an email to my fiance and I about a due final payment to be paid online. At first we thought this was helpful so we faithfully paid the remaining balance online. But then we got a panicked email from Holly saying our contract says we needed to pay cash or check and that there are huge service fees for paying credit card. It ended up being a huge pain for both us and Holly to figure out...we were irritated (as was she!) About the fact that we were asked to pay online by credit card. When I pay...I don't generally look back at the contract and read the fine print about whether to pay cash or check...not when I'm juggling multiple vendors and multiple contracts and payment due dates. The contract in it of itself is not easily accessible without having to dig In a myriad of emails to find the login for the website and then actually login. Finally, Holly's pricing covers up to 8 hours of photography. At the end of the day I kind of wish I went with a photographer that covered whole day photography instead. We had to pay an extra hefty sum to get Holly to stay and take pictures of our reception and our sparkler exit. The reception pictures we had to pay extra for were golden and so treasured because there were things that went on during our reception that we didn't even know but she captured wonderfully. The sparkler photos were kind of a disappointment and didn't look great (people were too spaced out, the framing of the photos were poor). The extra money we had to pay for Holly to stay a couple extra hours were worth it mostly for the dancing photos and group photos she took, but definitely not the sparkler photos...which kind of made me wonder if it would have been better for us to pay for a photographer that included whole day services. Overall we do recommend Holly as she is a great day of photographer. There are a couple things we wished were different but nothing absolutely groundbreaking. We received our photos about 1-2 months after our date and there were about 1,000 photos! Some of them were duds as expected but some will end up on the wall!

Fancy flash has a roaming photo booth where someone essentially walks around with a giant selfie camera. It's even less expensive than a traditional photo booth. It was amazing! All of the guests loved it - old and young. Guests have all of the pictures texted to them and we received a copy as well. They even created a beautiful border for the pictures that matched our colors and theme. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a photo booth at a fraction of the cost of a traditional one and with fewer logistics.

His prices were very low too. The only slight issues we had was that he was supposed to say "trust and fidelity" and he said "fatality". But we were the only ones who noticed and it gave us a laugh.
