Fun Nation - Skating Rinks Near Me - Lafayette, Louisiana

Lord where do I start. Unattended children run this rink. Unruly, disrespectful children dropped off and left. 12 year olds with multiple younger children to watch. The place is under staffed, out dated and probably the worse rink I have been to in regards to the chaos. There isn't any one on the rink floor to control the flow of the skaters. Children going the wrong way with on coming skaters. There should be a ref on the rink at all times. If there are kids kicking and fighting and running through the rink they should be made to leave after multiple requests to stop. The muffled DJ with his blown speakers trying to give safety advisories is a joke. The music is way too inappropriate and this is the crowd they are attracting. Very Rude, and misleading business owners! Horrible and will never bring my business back to this place. Spent about a thousand dollars here at this place for my babies party and I was lied too, about something as simple as a charger! No business structure, none! Keep your business away from these unprofessional business owners daughter and father Mr. Frank! As much as kids like to skate keep your funds away from this business, cause they don't have what it takes to run a professional business, from one business owner to another. This place has drastically went down the drain. Went in Sunday for a birthday party for my nephew and was greeted by a lady holding a young baby while helping customers, not paying attention, mentioning "just sign here" and not explaining what or why we signing. Went into the place and it seemed as if kids were running the place. No "adults" were around to help with any issues that arouse. The kid watching the play area was on his phone the entire time instead of watching or doing what he was supposed to be doing in the chair. Once it was time for the party to start we had a really young girl (party host) with black hair say ok y'all sit down and eat and enjoy, no further interactions at all until it was 5pm and said ok, I need you guys to move out the party room so we can clean it and was very persistent that even my 75 year old grandmother get off the bench and go towards skating area. The overall experience was horrible and wouldn't suggest this place to anyone. read more

We went tonight on a whim for a family activity. The AC was not turned on and inside it was very hot. We all started sweating immediately. The employees are very rude. We only stayed for thirty min and left. Twenty dollars and thirty minutes of my life wasted. Do yourself a favor and don't go. read more

It sucked! Very unprofessional, no one explains what you're signing! It was stupid HOT in there it made it miserable to skate! Their video makes it look like they remodeled the place but Nope! Floors are still jacked up and I thought they had those walkers to help kids learn how to skate, well at least it's on the video for advertisement but they told me they stopped using them bc the older kids were using them as bumper cars Smh! A wasted $16 wont be going back! I hate that the people that own it has always owned it but never took all that money they made and never redid the floors!! They make you sign that paper for liabilities but the floors itself are a liability! You fall on those jacked up floors but if something happens we are responsible!! read more

My friend held her daughter's birthday party here on a Saturday. She chose a birthday package. When people began arriving, some parents requested bracelets (and clarifying that they were part of the party) so that they could rent skates to skate too. At the end of the party, my friend received a bill charging her $6 per adult that skated. Not one adult, nor my friend was told that it was an extra charge. We all assumed it was included in the price of the package. It wasn't the small fee that bothered us, it was the lack of information from the staff. It was very unprofessional, in my opinion. Also, it was ridiculously hot inside (July!). I was sweating before I started skating. Be warned, this place is hot, unorganized, and unprofessional. My niece had her 8th birthday party here last November and the pizza sucked but the kids had a blast. Since then there has been new management in place. It is not perfect but my son has fun every time we go. The pizza has improved and we have never felt UN-safe. Actually we are leaving to go there now!! see you soon!! read more

We took the kids on "family night". There was no supervision, kids out of control, no rules were followed. There were teenagers cursing and calling out racial slurs. We did not feel safe and will not return. read more

As someone said in another review, this place is run by kids, and the kids running the place actually don't do anything but skate. I went to a birthday party for a nine year old on a Saturday and five older boys who work there skated as fast as they could, dodging young children and doing tricks. A friend of mine complained to an older staff member who did nothing. My friend ended up confronting the boys herself. They complied but had a bit of an attitude about it. I was not impressed and I certainly would never consider having a party there for my own child. read more

I had my sons 11th birthday here, it was complete chaos! Some of the games didn't work, I had to exchange 4 PAIRS OF SKATES because the tracks were either loose, or the nuts were, they were seriously short handed and not to mention the garbage can on the skating floor because the roof was leaking on TOP of the other buckets they had near the party tables because of the leaky roof! I will NEVER go back to this place! read more
