We drove 30 minutes from KC for this pumpkin patch and we were very excited! This place took us by surprise on how much they had to offer. Admission was a little pricey but it felt worth it with everything they had. We went on a Saturday morning and it was packed. Our friends had to wait at least 1 hour for their food. They had plenty of photo ops which I took apart of. I will say, it was a group of 21+ so we were veryyyyy underwhelmed with the activities since most of them were kid focused. I did take advantage of the carousel and unashamedly got on there! It was a good time :) The farm was huge and I wished we had some kind of map that was either digital or on hand because a few time we could not find anything and I was SEARCHINGGGGGG for a couple things. We came for the Tulip Festival today. The tulips were all toward the end of their lives unfortunately, which makes sense for the time of year, but they're still charging full price for tickets and cut flowers, which doesn't make sense. There's lots of stuff here for kids (carousel, trampoline blob, playground, petting zoo), and lots of food and drink stands that I unfortunately can't say anything about since we didn't check them out. It was also very muddy, but there's nothing that can be done about that really. Lots of cute spaces for photo ops! The petting zoo was my favorite part honestly. read more

My husband, our 13 year old daughter and I purchased the online early bird special for the Jacks in the Night event which cost $10 more at the gate. We had such a blast. This farm is HUGE and was packed with families from all over the area but never felt crowded. We were upset because the funnel cake and some treats ran out in the evening but it didn't take away from the overall excitement of the entire night. The Jacks in the Night lighted trail had to be the highlight of it all. It's a separate purchase from general admission. There were several Disney salutes and it was all super kid friendly. It's legitimately not often that I feel like a farm that charges $20+ in admission is worth the price, but you know, this one has sold me on the concept and it really does work here (at least in the spring). A friend of mine told me about the Tulip festival they hold here each spring, and while I knew it would pale in comparison to the tulips in Washington or the Netherlands, I was excited to check it out. The Fun Farm is likely much busier in the fall months, but we really enjoyed our spring adventure here. First of all, the parking is not too bad, they have a massive lot, and once you are in, you'll be super impressed to find really nice and clean restrooms, which you just never know about at a farm. They have the usual things for kids, but honestly what makes it better, is that aside from animals and playgrounds, they have custom built wooden play areas that are sturdy, and unique to this place. There were so many places for our kids to play that we stayed for HOURS and had it not gotten late, could have gone even longer. The tulips are a fun novelty and I'd return for photos on a nice spring day. They aren't an impressive endless sea of flowers you might expect if you've been to other tulip festivals, but for the KC area I found it to be charming and fun. Like I've said at other farms, if you don't have kids, I'm not sure it's worth the admission price since you are also paying for everything else. For being such a popular place it never feels overcrowded which is a perk when crowds aren't your thing. They have lots to do for all ages. However, the admission price keeps hiking up each year. This is our go to pumpkin patch. It's a bit away than the others but we love it. Is it run by young people absolutely! They are friendly and efficient. The only draw back this year is that the donuts were not cooked all the way through. Save yourself some money and buy your tickets online. Screen shot your tickets because the service is terrible once you get to the front of the line. You'll get a wristband. The pizza is pretty good but small for $20. The apple cider slushy is a must. Don't forget to go on the hayride to see the orchards, pumpkins and corn maze. The apple blasters and the slide are fun. Overall we love how big this place is. Words can't describe how much fun the little ones had at Fun Farm (I as an adult even had a blast). While the price is a bit steep you do get your money's worth if you go through the whole thing. We skipped Apple shooting because the kids were too small. We did enjoy the train ride around the lack and through the pumpkin patch. The kids enjoyed the jumping pod the most. I would recommend for older kids 5 and up. Take advantage of the photo ops, we got great holiday photos from the experience. I would also go during a time when everything is open for a full effect. This is a pumpkin patch that you can literally spend all day at. The price includes most of the activities other than apple or pumpkin picking and apple cannons. There was an obstacle course the kids could try out their ninja skills, lots of play equipment, complete with wood houses and slides galore. Swings and a huge slide to fly down. An actual train and a barrel (tractor) train give two options to ride. Food and drinks are spread out along the way, but it is VERY pricey. The bathrooms are also available like little outhouses, but the majority of them were out of toilet paper and soap and paper towels. Workers were not really seen around the entire place (other than working in the food areas), but this would make a huge difference if the bathrooms were upkept more. read more

I thought I was paying for more. It's laid out nice, the petting zoo, train ride and little piggy race was cool. Other than kid stuff, that's about it. I'm from the East coast so farms are definitely different here apparently. No apples, no cider making, no fried pies, hardly any food options, bottled cider that wasn't even made there just labeled, not many pumpkins and no signs for the pumpkin patch or the apple orchard. More just a big playground for kids. Atleast put signs up saying where is where. After trying to find my way around I just left with no pumpkins. We went to the tulip festival on the last day, but it was quite pretty still. Most of the tulips were withered or picked at that point (extra cost to picking). The main thing is that the food was quite expensive there. The train ride around the lake was free though, and there was a giant slide. It's no surprise that they rely on child labor--they probably know that any adult with a shred of self-respect would run for the door after a month. You won't find them here. Went for the tulip fest. Pics looked amazing. Fields filled with tulips. Bought the month before bc I was planning to go the last week of the next month. They didn't inform me they would close a week early and I happened to be looking on the website when I found out. Twenty something per person, and you still have to buy a vase to even pick any! I have been going to the fun farm pumpkin patch for years and watching it steady decline and price increase has just gotten out of hand! All but three of the tricycles were broken, the slats were broken on a bunch of games, there were several places on the houses that needed fixed, the nets were torn in some spots,& The food prices were just through the roof and the Quality has really went downhill! It cost me $50 for two buckets of pumpkin donuts and three drinks! That's a raging total of $150 after entry fees and I purchased my tickets online on sale day! so the moral of the story is it's grossly over price and under maintained! read more

We went on a Thursday afternoon so its not like it was a weekend crowd. The train wasn't running. The corn maze was half trampled. The slide was covered with rocks at the bottom. We came during the off season for strawberry picking. It cost $3PP to get in which was very reasonable. The strawberries are sold by the pound and today they were $4/lb. There are ALOT of things for the kids to do. Running, jumping, playing, picnicking, and picking! We previously never came to this location because it was so pricey but coming during strawberry season proved beneficial. We have loved going to the Fun Farm every year for the past 6+ years. It has become a Fall family tradition! We went today and are so sad to say that we won't be back. It has turned away from "farm" and into a money making machine. A bag of Tostitos and a side of quest = $8. A 12 oz beverage is $8-$15. It was hard to find fresh anything. Lots of the amusement activities need repair. The animals looked malnourished and the bathrooms were disgusting. I could go on.... So sad to see this wonderful farm go so quickly downhill. read more

The teenagers actually enjoyed the farm quite a bit and there is a lot of fun stuff to do with smaller kids. I really wanted to give it more stars but it's SO expensive! It's expensive to go and then once you get inside you have to pay extra for some stuff like the apple blasting. It's the old apples that aren't great to eat. I could see charging more but it's really pricey. A corn dog was $7.50!!! It was a Nathan's Hot Dog so pretty good sized but not $7.50 worth. The food is way overpriced so don't go hungry. read more

My wife, daughter and I went to the fun farm and it was great. It's slightly pricey but for a good reason so it is worth the cost. We didn't do the corn maze, however we did take the hay ride through the patch, play on the playgrounds (including the enormous corn pit) and visited with the various animals (which include many types of goats, chickens, ducks, roosters, cows, donkeys, pigs, etc.) It's very family friendly, but also adult enough to have a date at as well. They also have a gift area with different types of jams/jelly's, and pumpkins/squash. We purchased season passes this year and have been out to the Fun Farm numerous times this fall. Our daughter is not quite 2 and loves the petting zoo area. Being able to see and touch the animals is her favorite. She finally has got the hang of the bounce area and enjoys the corn pit. The slides on the treehouse area are a little big for her, yet. But she will go down the big slide with my husband. Pro tip: wear boots or tennis shoes. Lots of walking and it is muddy in some areas. There was poison ivy all over a children's play area. It wasn't roped off, there was no sign, no employees were there to warn people. A staff supervisor simply replied "it's a natural plant." price for entry was not the most reasonable but I was excited to spend the day with my family picking strawberries and running around. the ladies at the front entry were very warm and welcoming, however, the younger girls working the registers at the exit were not so friendly. all four girls working the front desk had looks of disgust on their face while helping me and my family. we went twice to go ask them a question and they looked me up and down like I was trash and then talked to my boyfriend like he was an idiot. this occurred Saturday may 11, 2024 after about 1pm. We changed it up a bit and this year went to the Fun Farm for our yearly pumpkin patch visit. This place is HUGE!!! And has tons of stuff to do. Plan on staying a long time! I do think it is super expensive and once you get in some of the things inside cost MORE than the initial ticket (which I think is CRAZY!!). I hate to say this, but the CORN MAZE is a total waste of money. First, they don't monitor it very well and there were tons of people in the MAZE that didn't have the right color of arm band. Also, inside the corn maze it isn't marked well. I wish they had painted markers or signs that are also included on the map to let you know you are on the right track. The teacher one is the only one that had a "hint" sign on the map. Why can't all of them have that throughout the maze? On happier notes, the pool of corn kernals was a total blast, the tire sing and huge blow up "pillow" was awesome! However, from the time I stepped in line to the time I was handed my one corn dog I ordered was just a little over an hour. Might I suggest expanding this gem so your patrons are not waiting that long to eat? I have food sensitivities because I have Crohn's disease so it's normal for me to go places and only get to drink water so imagine my surprise that you had a lemonade without high fructose corn syrup. I really appreciate that. Today though my husband would have liked Diet Dr. Pepper. You carry Dr. Pepper but not Diet? Lastly, after we came out of the pumpkin patch with 2 very large pumpkins we had to carry them all the way to the barn. Most people that wouldn't bother but some have invisible illnesses like I do (fibromyalgia) so my suggestion is having wheelbarrows down there for people to use to get their pumpkins back up to the barn. The only downfall is the pricing - Season passes are a must if you're visiting more than one or twice and while they do offer a "sale" on season passes they seem to sell out extremely quickly. I do think the price is rather high seeing as I had to pay full price for my just turned two year old I could see It being at least half the price and I wouldn't bat an eye. He wasn't able to do all the activities due to height, he wasn't up for the carousel ride, and his attention span got him through about 5 minutes of looking at the animals.
