The maze/s themselves are 100% worth the price. In person we paid $18 per adult, concessions were usual stadium food (no funnel cakes though), only bad part is that the pumpkin patch closes earlier than the maze, and some of the rides also closed at 8pm (on a Saturday) when they were open until 10pm which was a little disappointing. The teenage employee could've also been a little more inviting like the adult at the concessions stand was. Overall definitely worth the price though and a really fun thing to do before it's out of season read more

My husband and kids booked a trip to the corn maze. The organization of the event and line to get in is a little crazy. The maze was muddy and not as "challenging " a they imagined. Honestly, It's not worth the $ or time. They had more fun at a different pumpkin patch with their own free corn maze that's unable in the admission. read more

This is the first time, in my memory, that I've attended the corn maze. I had Sara D., The Other R, and his girlfriend with me, and coupons galore. Coupons knocked the entrance fee down by $2.00. I parked in the Pumpkin Patch parking, not realizing there were 2 entrances. I'll provide this warning: The friggin' Pumpkin Patach, where the cafe with grilled hamburgers and cider slushes, also costs $10.00 entrance. I can't make any new comments that haven't already been provided by other reviewers, Get coupons, don't expect decent concessions, cider slushes, modernized bathrooms, or any help from the staff whatsoever on eating lunch or where to go (Not mazewise). Do expect atleast an hour to 2 hours, walking, getting lost, and getting sideswiped by unruly corn that comes out of nowhere. Do expect to actually see young moms dressed as pirates, wearing boots with uncomfortable heels, carrying a baby also dressed as a pirate, meandering through the corn maze. It is a type of weird fun. We had it easy, we were behind a group, who hollered out each check in number. (Thankyou very much). The map they give you at the front is more than difficult to read. We went through one of the trails, got side tracked, ended up in another trail. My only complaint is, the bridges are sketchy. Seriously....I hope my $8.00 goes to bridge repair. I found lot's of loose boards. Also, the fact that there isn't one admission. For God's sake, you can't get into the Pumpkin Patch, after spending all that time in the corn maze, starving, without either bribing cause you are hungry, and promise your life away that you'll only eat and that is it...or paying the price of admission. The pumpkin patch used to be free, folks. Keep this in mind if you bring the kiddies. 2 admissions, one park. Yeah. I expect I'll return to the cornmaze next year. I would say that I'd recommend telling customer while they pay if it's going to be MUDDY MUDDY in the fields as I did ruin a nice pair of chucks. Materials can be replaced though so not a biggie. The 1st time I ever went corn-mazing, it was pitch black, had rained that day so everything was knee deep in mud, and I slashed my hand open on a corn stalk. I have no idea why I wanted to go to the Liberty Corn Maze, but alas I convinced some friends to come with me, (This time in the light!) Corn mazes are a great way to enjoy the fall weather and to get some exercise, too. Admission is $10, but you can find $2 off coupons pretty much anywhere. About a minute into the maze, my friend and I both admitted to each other that we can't read a map. Thankfully, we were able to find a random group of people dressed as pirates and followed them throguh the maze to each check point. Had we not found them, we would have been trapped in there all night! You walk around. You see corn. You get lost. It's fun. read more

My wife and I went to the Liberty Corn Maze on a Friday night at the end of September 2011 and had a great time. There are four separate mazes, with total lengths of 1.1, 1.6, 2.3, and 2.9 miles each. Of course when you do a maze--especially with a map--you're never going to explore every little detour and walk the total distance. We walked all four, making it to all 24 "checkpoints," in a leisurely 2.5 hours. That's right, the maze is big enough that, even with a map and without getting too lost, we were able to spend more than 2 hours navigating them all. And even with the map a few spots are tricky enough--especially after dark--to make it relatively difficult... thus exciting. My only complaints are things that the owners can probably do very little about. First, some of the "walls" between maze paths are a little thin and you can see through to the next path. Second, this seems to encourage people to cut through the walls and make shortcuts. The whole point of a maze is... well, to walk a maze. When you get a dead end and you know the spot you're trying to reach is just over the next wall, but you don't know how to get there, the fun of that moment is lost when some bozo has busted right through the wall and made a path. We arrived about 30 minutes before sunset, so we did the first two mazes in the daylight and the last two after dark with a flashlight. Let me tell you, doing the corn mazes at night is the way to go. In the daytime, some of the "shortcuts" cut by kids through the maze are very visible and detract somewhat from the fun. At night, however, things like this essentially disappear, especially if you only use a red flashlight to light your map, maintaining your night vision to navigate the maze without a light. Add a thermos of hot cocoa and maybe some pumpkin bread, it makes for a great fall evening. The mazes are very well designed, and each maze has individual quirks that make it fun in a little different way than the others. For 2011, we enjoyed the spot in the blue maze that makes up a soccer player's head, where six or seven paths intersect and it was really easy to get lost and find yourself looping back time and again to the same spot. We also enjoyed the yellow maze, which is basically a long straight line to a little maze in the back corner that makes the shape of a soccer ball--once you get back there it's a fun challenge to make your way around the ball finding all the checkpoints. Overall, the Liberty Corn Maze is a really fun way to spend a fall evening. We'll definitely be back next year. One last note: be sure to find and print the $2 off coupon on their website. Well, this is tough. I think there is some kind of mis-direction and deceit going on with the two business in one parking lot, and ushering customers into both (even if they only want one of them). I'm referring to Carolyn's Country Cousins and the Liberty Corn Maze. It SEEMS they are both the same. They probably know each other (they're only 100 yards apart). If they got an extra $100.00 out of every car there, it's making a huge impact on their business but leaving folks with a bad taste due to the misdirection. If I had been directed to the maze up front, it would have received 5 stars, However, due to the $100.00 "warmup" over at the other family business, I am giving it a 1 star review. So thinking we had plenty of time to get in we go to pay and they tell us they're closed because they were trying to be done and going home by 4:00. I'm assuming you're reading this right now, in 2011 AD. And I have to say that it's a pretty good place to visit with the weather being the way it is. Let's rewind a few years, though -- when it had been raining for days and the ground was soaked... yeah, romping through the mud and muck isn't quite that much fun. So, keep that in mind when you read this, future person. The corn maze stretches out over a few acres in the middle of nowhere (well, sorta -- it's actually pretty accessible from everywhere). Parking is plentiful, and the atmosphere is just doggone fun. The most fun, however, is romping through the thing at night. You'll definitely need a flashlight... and let's face it -- you're going to get lost. This year, I had a friend with me, and while we navigated every twist and turn, it was still really for us to get lost. I'll second Troy P.'s complaint that -- sometimes -- the walls get trampled down and turn into shortcuts. But... that's not bad -- it comes with the territory when you have a place where teens run amok. I'll also second the motion that - yes - GRAB COUPONS. Their Web site has them. Hy-Vee has them. And -- if you have 5 people in your party, that means you can use 5 coupons. So grab them. read more

The Liberty Corn Maze is actually a collection of 4 or 5 large mazes that collectively make up one very large design. There is also a small kid's maze and some other random games around. When you pay, you get a map of the maze that has a number of markers called out on it, the goal being to go through the entire maze and find all the markers to punch your card. The maze is pretty massive but if you move quickly you can cover a lot of it fairly quickly. I think the key is to get there early in the season as I've been there twice and each time was mid Oct. and by then there were lots of make shift paths knocked down by previous maze goers. The knocked down paths make it easy to cheat and cut between areas in order to get to the markers or to just go through the thing willy nilly. Going earlier should mean less of that having happened yet. You can also do the maze at night which I think would really make it a much more interesting trip as you would be hard pressed to visualize where you are on the map without as many visual cues. That could really elevate the fun level. However, at night, the knocked down paths could really make it confusing. They have a snack stand on site and ample parking. There is also a country store or something adjacent to the maze with a number of other things to do but we have not ventured over there. It seems like it would be a good place to go with a family on a fall day and kill a lot of time. We were pretty much underwhelmed at the whole situation. We came on a Saturday night hoping that doing the mazes at night would be more fun. (Pro tip: if you plan coming at night, definitely bring flash lights.) We purchased 7 corn maze admission tickets and reserved one of their "Kampfires" for 7 people. When we arrived there was one huge admission line. There was absolutely no direction until you got right up to pay.. there were two signs, one for cash and prepaid tickets and the other for card. Once we got in we immediately went over to the corn mazes. There were three to choose from that varied in length. I should first mention that everyone in my party was directionally challenged, and the fact that we chose to do it at night was probably a mistake on our part. My party chose to split into two groups and do the shortest and the middle length maze. So the first issue was that no one really explained the hole punch thing. I don't know if it's common in corn mazes as this was literally my first one. But as we were walking through we came across a little stand with a number and a hole punch, we took out our map and decided the only logical thing to do would be to hole punch the coordinating number on our map. After closer examination we realized that each maze had a series of hole punches you were supposed to punch. I'm not sure if this helps you find your way out or what. We continued to make our way through the corn maze trying to find the next hole punch when we run into the rest of our party! At that point we were both extremely close to the exit, but obviously at some point... one of the groups had to of went into the adjacent corn maze... were still not sure how this happened. Our maze was supposed to be over 2 miles long and there is no way we walked 2 miles... it seemed like we were in there maybe 15 minutes? I honestly never thought there would be so much confusion over a corn maze. The real issue started when we went over to our "kampfire". I think the idea of having campfires is great but it was extremely poorly executed. First off, you are not allowed to bring any outside food or drink in, so if you want s'mores you have to buy it from them. We went in this little building to check in and it was utter chaos. The guy in-charge of the campfires has no idea what was going on. Finally we were assigned a camp and when we get there we were shocked. Let me back up... You have to reserve the campfires online through their website due to there only being a certain number of campfires sites. We booked the campfire and payed extra for 20 s'mores. You are told everything is provided hay bales, wood... Our campsite literally had two tiny hay bales almost worn to the ground for seating. When we asked if we could have more they said it seems like we're all booked up tonight and the seating has been taken but I can see... We made a reservation! If you do not have enough hay bales to accommodate the number of campsites you are renting out then don't rent them out! And with hay bales in that bad of shape you might as well just sit on the ground! Finally a guy came back and gave us another hay bale. At that point everyone but two people had a place to sit, we made the executive decision to just go take another bale from a camp that wasn't being used at the time. I'm sorry, but if I am paying and being promised what I'm paying for, you better damn well deliver! The whole experience just fell short, and with the drive out there I'm not sure it's worth it. read more

I'm going to be way to honest in this review.... I'm a larger gal that isn't the "walking in the woods" or "hiking" girl but still in ok shape. I really wanted to do these mazes with a friend and so I was excited to get going. We arrived around 4pm, it was 92 degrees outside and 36 hours after a 4" rain. We started with the shortest maze, which is 1 mile. The trails were surprisingly dryish after such a rain. The workers told us what trails were dryer and they were absolutely correct. It wasn't bad at all.. just a few soft spots. Now, half way through the very well groomed paths, I was hating it. It was stinking hot and in that thick corn.. there isn't much of a breeze. My advice is to take some water. We didn't and really regretted it. We finished the first maze and I just didn't want to do more but promised to go back at night and when it was cooled. I really think I would have more fun. So.. to all you "out of shape" folks out there.. it is a bit of a workout when it's still so warm outside.. heck, even when it's not. The paths are flat for the most part. The good thing is that there are shorter mazes (1 mile) to long mazes (over 4 miles). Do what you can and just enjoy the adventure. If you like this sort of thing.. it's the best around!! I have no clue how they cut the maze but its aMAZEing! My experience was A-OK but I'm sure you will love it and give it 5-stars. read more

My kids use to go to school with owners when we lived in liberty it has always been a fun thing to do any way today we went with my daughters youth group I believe 1 st weekend open so no cheating with short cuts this is awesome family fun or youth group fun the prices at the concession reasonable 2.00 for large bottle of water they do have a five dollar meal deal its a brat or Nathan's hot dog they have corn on the cob pop soft pretzels etc and Carolyn's pumpkin patch is next door which I use to take the kids when they were little its a good wholesome family outing read more

I had never imagined going to a corn maze. I'm a city boy who rarely ventures out into the country. I didn't expect much from the corn maze save for a ton of corn stalk and windy paths. I went to the Liberty Corn Maze with 3 other Yelpers pretty late at a slightly warm fall night. The cost of attendance is $10 which is a decent price for a hours long activity. The location is slightly south east of the downtown Liberty, MO area, not too far from civilization but far enough. When the clouds cover the moon, it gets pretty dark when you're between tall corn stalks but if you are still able to see lights from the main building and tents. What's great about the Liberty Corn Maze is that the design is changed every year. The design is quite artistic from an aerial view. The map that they provide clearly shows what design that created for the year and is quite helpful in my opinion. I like that they have stamp check points so you can challenge yourself. I also like that they have bridges as it adds change to the monotony of corn stalks around you. I'm also glad that they accept credit card payments for attendance and for food/drinks. Overall we had a good time finding our way through the Liberty Corn Maze and I would definitely go back. read more

I don't know why they gave up the weekday times. It was more comfortable walking in the maze not completely crowded. You should have them open one or two nights during the week. I remember doing the mazes and it wasn't so crowded to walk everywhere. read more
