Can I just say that my kids love fun factory? It doesn't help that it's in the mall where we frequent often. It also doesn't help that the claw machines have super cute squishmallows on a regular basis that forces mommy to play to win. Daddy also loves the Willy wonka coin drop game. Fun for all ages... Fun Factory is just that and it's nice to see it remain in the same spot at Kahala Mall for quite some time. I do get curious and veer in though don't have the card needed to play games which I think I do so that I don't get caught especially if I see a prize that catches my eye and to get the needed required tickets for redemption lol! I've always enjoyed carnival games and just the joy of catching that prize is the real thrill though this location is very small it's a bit a joy to take that much need break to make you smile indeed. I've purchased gift cards here for gifts on numerous occasion making it a great gift for all ages as they do have games for everyone and cute rides for the little ones. My kids love it here!! Nice place to have a bit of fun while shopping and in the air conditioning! Staff is usually pretty friendly and helpful, but also non-intrusive. Decently clean as well. There are a good selection of games but not so many that you get stuck in there long. Windward mall is a little bigger/has more games, if that's what you're looking for. Double dollar days are the best deals! Otherwise you'll drop a pretty penny for one visit. I come here often so it's worth it for me to take advantage double dollar days. There's also half priced games on Tuesdays for VIPs but it's harder to come on Tuesdays for me. read more

Fun Factory is a small arcade located within Kahala mall. Games seem to change up every few months or so which is kind of nice, however I'm not entirely sure what age bracket they are trying to target. On one hand theres a merry go round and some games for really young kids (probably 3-5y/o) and then theres a few of the larger machines for teens/adults like the Jurassic Park light gun game and another zombie light gun game that I cant remember the name of now. Seems like they're trying to target every demographic, but because its such a small space there's really only like 2-3 games available for each age range. Staff is friendly enough. Josh is by far the friendliest one there and he clearly wants to help everyone as much as he can. As with all arcades these days you need to purchase a card and load it with "tokens" in order to play. All tickets won in any game are loaded on to the card and can be redeemed for overpriced prizes. Kahala Mall is convenient with a ton of parking. So an impromptu Saturday with your kiddo at Fun Factory seems to be a decent activity. But..is it really?! I had no idea that it would cost almost $100 for an hour of rides and games for one child. We loaded a card for $30 with no idea what that buys you...quickly realizing after a few games and rides...not much. We added more money and our little one got sucked into playing the grabbing game which is really a scam. They included squishy animals that are silky in texture so the prongs can't get a proper hold on the toys. My little one wanted to try it again and again..deceptively easy. Great money maker. After this experience I feel like this place should be renamed "Fund" factory. read more

This was a fun place to spend an hour with my 2 nephews (ages 5 and almost 7). They had been here for a birthday party recently that left a big impression so we had to come back. An hour here cost us $30 per kid based on their game play (could be more or less for you based on the game choices). It was easy to reload money to the plastic cards you're given to swipe on the machines and the employees were helpful and present when you needed them. You load money to the arcade plastic card, which translates to tokens, and then each game costs a certain number of tokens to play, so make sure to check a machine before you swipe, as some of the machines take a lot of tokens. Some games allow you to win points, which you can trade in for cheap little toys (bouncy ball, mini slinky, plastic handcuffs, etc). They have specials where your money gets you extra tokens, so be on the lookout for that. Seems like a good variety of machines packed in a small space and my nephews enjoyed their time here on a Saturday afternoon. read more

Ever since this year we've been offering Fun Factory as an incentive to my daughter for those weeks that she has achieved all her stars for doing her jobs everyday. She rarely gets all her stars so coming to Fun Factory is quite a treat. We've been here several times this year and she absolutely loves the grabber machine. My husband is good at it so it encouraged her to keep asking him to do it so she can get a prize. Well the last two times it was a little trickier to get. Not sure but the stuffed animals just kept falling through the grabber. My husband kept trying and trying but it still wouldn't pull up to the output. The manager was watching and he told us that he could just get the stuffed animal with a certain number of tickets. So we went to another game and played until we got that amount of tickets. Then at the end we redeemed it and got our stuffed animal. Today we went again and my daughter wanted to do the grabber. They had a narwhal in there that she wanted. We tried several times and it still wasn't happening. My husband went up to the worker and asked her how many tickets for the narwhal. She says 750. So we try a few more times on the grabber machine and it's still not happening. So we go over to another machine that has a high ticket payout and play until we get enough for the narwhal. Then when we are done we go up to the counter to redeem for the narwhal. The lady says that she has to talk to her manager. So she goes to talk to the manager and comes back to tell us that it's not possible to buy the grabber machine animals with tickets. She asked who we went through last time and we said that same guy, the manager. So he comes to talk to us and tell us that isn't possible and that the last time he made an exception for us. I was so mad. He never stated at all at any time that it was an exception. I told him that he shouldn't even have done that in the first place if that was the case. Terrible business to go back on their word like that. How's that when the lady at the counter says its 750 tickets to redeem but yet we can't get it. Unbelievable. I was so irritated about this whole situation. My husband had to shush me and I had to walk away and he dealt with the man. My daughter got the narwhal in the end but all of that could have been avoided, if he didn't go back on his word from last time and change the rules. My daughter played this coin game and finally won two Poke mon cards. Then, my daughter wanted to play air hockey with me so we did. So fun! I also played basketball with her to help her get points. Plenty of space in here to social distance. There were hardly anyone inside until it got later in the day. Located inside the mall. Such a fun way to entertain your kids. Great place to pay with kids :) Not a big place, but there are plenty of different games to play. There are a few crane games that you can play until you get something without adding more tokens. My kindergartener loved that game (since she would never "lose"), but also bowling and snowball games. My younger toddler couldn't play much (obviously she's too young), but she had fun riding on the horsey, sitting on the car, and just waddling around ;) The staff was nice and helpful! They were all friendly and smiley - my kids are usually shy, but they waved to them :) The only downside is that it's not that cheap - you can easily spend $30 in an hour :p it might be worth it to become a VIP member if you are planning to stay here long. read more

I'm not sure how long this Fun Factory has been around for, but I've dropped in with my niece on and off over the years. It's a good place to kill a few minutes, but you can easily go through the games very quickly and then there's not much appeal left. They do have a few games for each age bracket, but they don't rotate game offerings very frequently which at least to me seems fairly bland. The kids still seem to find interest in the merry go round and a couple games, but I really don't know how this location has stayed in the mall for so long I don't see how they get many return customers. I don't come here as often as I did when my daughter was a baby. Well, after that incident that happened a year ago. This place is pretty pricy. They got a new ride that takes pictures after your kid after the racing and I didn't realize how effen expensive it was! 18 tokens on Tuesday because half off Tuesday if you're VIP. So 36 tokens on regular days? Are you kidding me? not even worth it. I'll make sure my kid never rides that ride again. Anyways, 4 stars for the young girl who was willing to shuffle the claw machine for me. Because those machines are impossible to win. read more

My daughter wanted to ride a course and this place was one of a few I could think of. We bought a $50 game card so she could ride and play. It lasted a good 50 minutes for her. There were a lot of kids with their parents here on a Saturday. No social distancing or limit to the number of people in there. No sanitizing between customers so bring your wipes! This is the regular pit stop at Kahala mall every time I bring my daughter grocery shopping with me. I always forget to check in here because I either too busy playing the games with my daughter (feel like a kid again!) or taking pictures of her playing games or on the rides. Fun experiences always! Ever since our daughter was 1 years old she's been a FF-aholic. We would plop her on the carousel ride in the front and walk around in circles holding on to her. Now that she's 4, she no longer needs Mommy and Daddy to hold on to her. In fact, she's become so gutsy on that ride we have to tell her to stop putting her legs and feet up on the horses ears and leaning back while holding the pole. WTH? My 20-month-old daughter recently discovered Fun Factory and it is now her favorite place in the mall! We can't go to Kahala Mall without a trip to Fun Factory-- we go at least once a week! We've only tried a couple of the games since my daughter is still too little for a lot of them, but she loves the basketball and the water shooting the ducks game! Decent selection of fun things for a little kid, but a bit on the expensive side. Plus, the crane game seems rigged. My 4 year old daughter got really excited when I got the claw in a perfect position. The 3 fingers of it wrapped perfectly around the round stuffed animal and there was nothing anywhere around it touching it or exerting any sort of influence, and yet when the claw lifted up the fingers just went completely limp and let it go. You folks should really be ashamed of yourselves to operate such a gimmick and disappoint small children. read more

i used to go to fun factory when i was a kid. i remember all the ticket i used to collect just to get a candy or small toy that i would play with it for day or two. Now they are so many advance toys like ipad mini or samsung galaxy tap... what? what a lucky kids... these are items that you could possible to win, the reason we give 3 star is that we wanted to play few dollars of game to give it a try but worker told me it's no longer play by coins, they require us to buy the card and minimum of $5 in the card to get the game starting. They had a vip price where it's 10% cheaper but to get that you have to play a lot. i just wanted to play little and don't want to carry any card after i'm done. i wish they bring back the old system where you just get coins and use it that way. read more
