A couple weeks ago I did a deep clean of my car. Come on now...you know some of y'all have some junky ass cars with even junkier storage room trunks. Mine was no exception. I got to my truck and along with old pairs of shoes and empty car cleaner bottles, I found a tattered old CPR booklet from 2012. Good lort the darn thing went straight from the boring class and into the abyss of my car where it died never to be seen (or used!) again. So imagine my (lack of!) excitement when I found out I had to take another CPR class at my new job last week. I was prepared to watch the same boring ass "keep coughing...keep coughing" demo videos with another training manual to go in the trash. To my surprise, I got neither with Fun CPR. I highly, highly, highly recommend this company for your CPR/First Aid training needs! Jason was funny, effective, engaging, and the class was great. We learned and practiced proper technique, with conga line and fake seizures sprinkled in. It was soooo engaging! I definitely feel prepared and remember what we learned. And this was all done without a single mock video or paper handout. Yes, use these ppl! read more

Fun CPR lived up to its name! Thanks to Eric for making things go quicker than planned. Instead of the usual presentations and powerpoints, everything was hands on, with a wonderful, easy to read handout to remember things afterward. Great CPR class! Instructor was friendly, knowledgeable , funny and entertainmenting. He made it easy to stay present. They have water, coffee and snacks. Room was comfortable, not too cold which is always my concern! The manikins were in good shape and easy to work with. Definately recommend this class if you need to get certified. Bet CPR class ever! They have great teachers that keep it fun but you actually learn. I took CPR once before and the class was boring and I didn't feel like I learned anything or would be prepared in an emergency. This class is all hands on and you will definitely walk out feeling confident that you know what you need to know. I also loved that they had an open class style where you could ask lots of questions. Helps to bring what you are learning into practical application. Totally worth going full on and taking both the First Aid & CPR training. In my profession I've attended many classes for both First Aid & CPR and this one was the best. It is up to date with current trends and you really do get involved. Our school was renewing our CPR certification, we all know what to do in an emergency, BUT we did all need to be rectified. This was a fun, informative way to get refreshed on the things we already know. The teacher had a great sense of humor, helping those of us who needed a little reminder, in a non judgemental way. My daughter's Brownie troop was forced to cancel an event when the one parent in the troop with CPR/First Aid Training became ill. The other parents and myself decided to all get trained in CPR to prevent this from happening again. But when we did a search for courses, the American Red Cross only offered weekday classes and Girl Scouts only offered workshops in locations that were very far to travel to for all of us. I did a search on Google and discovered FunCPR. After writing to them and confirming that our certification would be okay for Girl Scouts, we arranged for a class at a date we chose in one of the other parent's homes. The course was affordable and to the point. Our instructor, Eric, was funny, concise and professional. If anyone has ever sat through one of these types of mandated courses before, you know they can be a real bore. This was not the case with FunCPR! We were done before the time allotted and we all left feeling like we actually understood and could apply the material and scenarios we were introduced to during the course. I would highly recommend this company for anyone requiring certification, but wanting to do it on your schedule. read more

Pros: informative of basic needs, enjoyable instructor. Cons: located in a weirdly shady strip mall in a dingy building in a tiny room, still pretty basic info, and while the quippy one liners are good for a chuckle, I don't feel it truly makes this experience "fun." Eric, the instructor, was amazing! He was super funny, even when he had to crack corny jokes that were part of the script. He did a great job teaching, was thorough, yet quick to teach and made an effort to get us out of there early. The training was hands on and interactive, which made both trainings (CPR/AED & First Aid) a fun experience! Everyone gets their own dummy, which was great. This was my first CPR and First Aid training. I originally just signed up for CPR because I was not required for First Aid, but I once I got there I found out it would only be an extra hour and a small fee more. I had been thinking everyone should know basic First Aid, so I stayed. I am glad I did because it's so basic and essential! Both sessions were helpful-I thought it would be more difficult to catch onto CPR then it was. Eric taught and it was an engaging class! read more

I cannot say enough positive things about Fun CPR Training. Eric was the teacher of a small class and was warm, lighthearted, and best of all incredibly knowledgeable. While I hope never to be in a position of having to use CPR I left the class confident that should the need arise I could definitely perform CPR! Quick, to the point, funny, and each person gets their own mannequin. They were also the cheapest out of all the places I looked at in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys. No need to buy a textbook. Plus, if you check in with Yelp they give you a free keychain pouch with a CPR mouth protector in it! Well worth my money and my time! read more
