I decided to surprise my granddaughter by renting a waterslide for 4th of July. When I called and spoke to Stephanie, I felt like I was talking to a friend. That's how she made me feel. Her customer service was by far not what I expected because I called other places before calling here and the other places were not as nice. When the waterslide arrived, Nolan & his helper were awesome! They got it set up in no time. They answered all the questions we had and were very nice! I will rent here again! Ok so it's 4th of July weekend and I need chairs for our guests that we have invited on Sunday. The recording on their machine and the store sign specifically states that they are open until 4pm Monday through Saturday, so why on Saturday at 2:21 is no one at this location nor answering the phone????? We rented standard size tables and chairs, a kids table and chairs and a large helium tank from Fun & Game Rentals in February 2014 for a weekend birthday party. The employees took our order/reservation over the phone and they were pleasant to deal with. We picked up on Friday and dropped off on the following Monday. All items were as described and we had no issues with the rentals or the employees. They were also very nice when we dropped off Monday morning. Overall, we were satisfied with their service, they were easy to work with and we had no issues with the equipment that we rented. read more

The owner is horrible. Was sitting in the parking lot finishing up a phone call. She comes out and tells me, if your not buying from her company I can't park there. Eff that. Customer lost immediately!!! I told her that I was going to until her horrible customer service ruin it before I even got out of the car. Don't use this company. Not clear on what you are getting for your ticket. The slide for example at the Rockridge Market Hall event this passed weekend was not labeled correctly. A single slide for 2 tickets (that equates to $3.00) for a single slide down a small blow up slide. Normally other slide amusement companies charge for timed sessions like a jumpy house. I was absolutely floored when the woman told my kids "only one time per tickets" and the look on her face said it all when I mention "$6.00 for one slide", her reply "I know, sorry". Business is not easy, I run one myself but you have to be clear on what the customer is paying for. read more

This party store sucks .. They are the ruddest people ever. You would think they would be so kind since they are the only party store here in town. I will never go back to this store again. I don't care if I needed something real bad and they were the only party store that carried it . I rather do WITHOUT! I had a great experience. It was my daughters 1st bday party and we rented a kiddie ferris wheel and some machines. Everything turned out on time and ran smoothly. Everyone had a great time. Fun & Game Rentals contacted me today after they received an email from the festival organizers in regards to my complaint. The company apologized for what happened and accepted responsibility for the fencing not being secured and hence falling over and injuring my leg and foot. The manager informed me that in addition to counseling the employee that was in charge of the bounce house, they provided further training to their employees on proper equipment procedures and how to properly care for their customers in events such as this. The manager also offered to reimburse me for my medical visit. I am increasing my rating by 1 star for the company accepting responsibility and offering an apology. I appreciate their attempt at trying to remedy the situation. read more

I, as a parent volunteer, just hired this company for our school festival. Tami at Fun & Games was wonderful helping us choose appropriate rides and games for our preschool through 8th grade children while working with our budget. We ordered the balloon wheel, spinning teacup ride, the racers edge, and a rock climbing wall, as well as three small carnival games and the carousel jump house. The crew showed up on time (which was wonderful considering our school is about 2.5 hours away from Manteca) and expertly drove four trucks into our tiny playground and began assembling everything. They finished assembling and setting everything up about a half hour before our event was to begin and even helped our parents with some other set-up. The rides all looked clean and in good condition. When our festival started, the kids were thrilled and all the rides were going the entire time. All ages of kids loved the teacup ride. The 8th graders could turn the wheel to make their cups spin very fast while the kindergartners in another teacup could go slower. I thought the balloon wheel would be enjoyed more more the little kids but the middle school children went on multiple times as well. I even saw parents on it. Racers edge was a huge hit, I think my 8 year old son was there all night. The stuffed animals they provided as prizes were pretty big, which the kids loved. The rock wall was was pretty high and the kids used that all night as well. All the rides were adorable and looked even better as the sun went down. The lighting on all the rides was very festive and cheerful. The carnival crew were helpful and kept things running smoothly and safely all night. I was thrilled with the entire night. Everyone enjoyed themselves, I received numerous compliments from parents at the event and of course, the kids had a blast on all the rides. We have approximately 200 kids at our school and I think the amount of rides and games was perfect. No one had to wait very long to have a turn on rides or games. Let's see... Where should I begin? Should I write about their incompetency or their nonfunctional equipments? Their staff members don't know how to operate their equipment and make frantic phone calls to their office to no avail. They brought nonfunctional equipment to my friend's son's birthday party and I heard that they refused to refund their money back. I saw parents and little kids walking in the street because the train stopped running and got stuck in the middle of the street. I also did see the train operator drinking beer after the train stopped working and I guess he had nothing else to do. What a joke! read more

I'm sorry but I disagree with all of the negative reviews on here. I first used Fun and Game rentals for my 2 kids birthday party in Dec. 2011 and Tami and her crew were phenomenal!!!! Tami constantly kept me updated and informed with any necessary information regarding our rentals. Tami was on top of everything from insurance policy, gave me great package deal on the tea cup ride, helicopter ride and jumpers. We also rented a hot dog roller, cotton candy machine and popcorn machine, which were all clean and in great condition. The ride attendants were on time, professional and very helpful. They were so good we used them again this past December for our kids birthday party again but this time we rented 2 huge jumpers, the train, hot dog roller, cotton candy machine, popcorn machine and kids tables and chairs. Everything was set up on time, clean and professional as usual. I will always use Fun and Game for my party needs because they are so dependable! I love Tami, she is such a pleaseure to work with! We had a 3-year contract with Fun & Game Rentals to provide the Children's Rides for our annual Festival. They were in the final year of the contract this year and canceled 2 days before the event. All programs and advertising had already been published. They claim to have canceled because we told them not to bring any inflatable attractions. We had another company providing a bounce house and didn't want to conflict with the other vendor. Fun & Game Rentals claim that a bounce house is considered a "ride" and therefore we could not have a bounce house at our festival unless they provided it. I am being very truthful in this review by delivering the facts. You be the judge if a bounce house is a carnival ride. My point with the negative review is simply this. You do not cancel out 2 days before an event that draws nearly 25,000 visitors and has been running for 22 years. That is just plain bad business all around. Lucky for us, I was able to quickly find a replacement company who was much more professional and great to work with. So in the end, perhaps we should thank Fun & Game Rentals for leading us to a new and reputable replacement. read more

Love, love, love this company. Had a great experience. We had rented some stuff from a rental place in Tracy. At the last minute we found out it was going to be super hot and needed a tent. The rental place we were using didn't have any available and suggested Fun And Games. From my first call I had a great experience. They were priced fair, friendly and organized. This company is short on morals! They were at the Livermore Wine Festival this year providing the kids rides. We got there at 4:50 becuase my son had a soccer game. When buying the tickets to the ride, I asked the cashier what time they close. She stated they stop selling tickets at 5 pm, but that the rides would go until everyone with tickets got to ride. Great, I bought $40 of tickets and off we went to check out the rides. The bungee jump ride still had a long line so we went to another ride and then came back to that. When we came back, there was only one little boy in line. We stood behind him only to be told by a worker that my kids couldn't ride as they were closing the ride down. I asked them to please let my kids go on as we had been waiting for this one particular ride. The worker said his boss would have to make that call. So this big fat, dirty guy comes over and tell me "were closed". I asked him to just let the kids go on it. He got right in my face and told me "I said were closed!". I was ticked at how rude he was, so we walk back over to the ticket booth for a refund on the unused tickets. Then that gal, who had sold me $20 for each of my kids, then tells me "no refunds". I got on her then as I said, you told me that the rides would be open until all the ticket holders were done. We were not done but he would not let us ride. I want my money back. She told me she couldn't do that. Unbeliveble. I called her out on her lie then and she did apologize and say that she thought they would let us ride, but now there was nothing that she could do. Most of my money was wasted since they wouldn't honor their tickets! They should of just let my kids go on the ride quick and do the right thing! read more

I recently attended a trunk or treat event in stockton at my kids' sunday school. The staff running the rides were all very kind and enthusiastic. The young lady running the pirate ship ride was a hoot, she had all the kids screaming and laughing. Thank you, Fun and Games for making this Halloween one to remember! read more

I rented two tables and 16 chairs for a party. When I called the business the lady who answered stated "we are closed." Needless to say, I didn't know they closed at 4 p.m. Either way, she took my order even though she was rude. I showed up that Saturday to pick up the table/chairs, however they wouldn't fit into my SUV. I inquired about having them delivered and again, they acted like they were inconvenienced, even though they were going to make another 30 bucks. The driver who was very nice and courteous showed up at my house which was only about 5 miles from their warehouse. The office itself looks like a version of the show Hoarders. There was a cute small dog in the office but it was allowed to use the restroom on a pad. It was totally unprofessional for a business office and to be honest, it was gross. The two ladies acted like they were totally inconvenienced by me being there to pay for my rentals. Again, when I called back on Monday to see if they could pick up the rentals, the two ladies again, acted like it was a bother, and again, made another 30 dollars to drive 5 miles. The driver showed up within an hour, so apparently they weren't that busy. In a day and age when mom and pop shops are being pushed out by big business, these employees should realize it's customers that help pay their salaries and keep the business afloat. The only reason they are getting one star is the equipment was in functioning order and the driver was nice and courteous. The owner of this business should get rid of these two ladies in the office and CLEAN THAT GROSS OFFICE UP! We have quite a few large parties at our house every year, I will either go to Stockton or Modesto to rent supplies. read more
