We called several shops to see if they could fulfill a small batch order for a custom jacket.Some stores did not have access to the style we were looking for. Others could not produce a limited order. Another shop was not able to provide any style guidance. However these guys not only could they fulfill the order, but they were very helpful in suggesting colors, font sizes, and letter styles, and came through in a big way. So I just tried to pick up an embroidered sweatshirt from here and unfortunately, I cannot recommend this business AT ALL. I placed an order a week ago, it was ready as requested today, and the woman (her name is Maude) was very pleasant in assisting me. My, how quickly things change! I returned not even 10 minutes later because the lettering was misaligned. I brought it to Maude's attention (who was so initially pleasant) and her demeanor immediately changed! It was actually amazing. She seemed SO exasperated that I had brought the sweatshirt back. Her exact words were, "the difference is less than a quarter of an inch." So does that mean I should just ignore it? Especially after paying nearly $50 for something that I could have purchased online for cheaper ($37.59 to be exact)? I specifically sought out EmbroidMe because I always try to support local businesses, but in this case, it was a complete mistake. I even asked if it was standard practice to just give a refund without offering to fix the error (I understand things happen; the embroider may have been in a rush, the machine was misaligned, whatever) and she ignored me! I repeated the question when someone named Dan came to give me the refund and he didn't answer either! I am truly astonished! Who wants to waste money and material like that?? No apology or anything - just a check for my money back......... Based on previous reviews, it seems like maybe this was an off day, but I will never return. I will also never recommend this business to anyone. It is truly unfortunate because I was so looking forward to having this sweatshirt and encouraging my friends to use this business since my friends are always fundraising with sweatshirts and such. Maude and Dan - if you read this, definitely work on your customer service. You have lost what would have been a very loyal customer. I'd give your business 0 stars but the girl who originally helped me was so kind and patient. Keep her around because she's the only positive thing I experienced with your business. read more
