Dropped off my 2001 Tacoma for a transmission rebuild with Ghadi. Ghadi instructed me that he lived 10 mins away and that I could drop my truck off at anytime and he would be there. I dropped my truck off on a Saturday night and the shop was closed with nobody there. I called and texted Ghadi probably like 20 times to leave my truck. No answer. Finally the shop next door (I would recommend either shop next door over Fullerton Car Repair) stated I could leave the truck key with him and he'll call David the shop mechanic/manager. Took two weeks just for them to reach back out to me. Jennifer and David reached out to me that Ghadi had broke his leg. Come to find out from Ghadi he was attacked and stabbed outside of his shop. Not sure who to believe at this point. I left a deposit of $1,100 cash with Jennifer and David. They started the work on the transmission. I went to pickup my truck a week later. While driving off I noticed the breaks didn't work and I wasn't able to stop the truck even with full pressure applied to my breaks. I immediately called Ghadi as this could've been a serious accident and lawsuit. Again, no answer and left the truck and key with the shop next door. I received a call from David stating he no longer works at Fullerton Car Repair and I would need to pick up my truck. The brakes were now supposedly fixed. I paid my remaining balance for a total of $2850. I took the truck immediately to another car mechanic who put the truck on a lift. I was able to inspect the mechanic work myself and with another mechanic that Fullerton Car Repair completed. Just like another review stated, their work is "Mickey Mouse" caliber. They had cut my transmission lines because they didn't have the right tools. Then used rubber hosing to connect them back. Well these are pressure lines so it's only a matter of time before the rubber hosing would fail and the whole transmission would lose fluid and fail again! They also disconnected my back breaks because they didn't know what the problem was (the shop next door talked to David/Ghadi about my brakes). Seems like not only due to they lack the necessary tools they also lack the necessary knowledge to run an automotive repair facility. They also left bolts almost barely tightened and almost falling off. The other mechanic shop also stated while test driving the truck the transmission seized. They are sending the truck to be looked at by a transmission specialist. The other mechanic place had asked if I took the truck to an "actual" mechanic! I was infuriated. I called and texted both David and Ghadi. David's response is I don't work there anymore. I stated to David it doesn't matter that you don't work for Fullerton Car Repair anymore. I'm reaching out to you and Ghadi as he is the owner and you were the mechanic that completed this repair. To this day nobody will take accountability for this horrendous job they call "automotive repair". I've filed a complaint with the bureau of automotive repair and I'm sure there's a ton against this shop judging by the investigator assigned to the filing. Do yourself a favor. Don't ever take your car to Ghadi or Fullerton Car Repair. You'll end up with the same issues not fixed and down thousands of dollars. One of the worst experiences I've ever had with an auto shop. I brought my car in because it was emitting smoke, and unfortunately ended up choosing this shop in Fullerton. Looking back, I honestly have no idea how we decided on this place -- it was a huge mistake. I paid around $1,500, and to this day I'm not even sure what for. I had to bring my car back six times. Each visit was frustrating -- the owner, Ghadi, was rarely at the shop, communication was terrible, and the work was consistently subpar. The first time I left my car, it was in the shop for nearly a week. I picked it up only to have the same smoke issue start again on the drive home. We called Ghadi, and he asked us to bring it back. So we did. Again and again, hoping it would finally get resolved -- but it never was. I'm exhausted just recounting how unprofessional and unreliable this whole process has been. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Save your money, your time, and your sanity. read more

I have to change my opinion and views on this shop after a very disturbing experience with the owner Ghadi the 2nd time I brought my truck in for a repair. After experiencing a check engine light and loss of power issue I brought it in and he diagnosed a bad O2 sensor along with the spark plugs and ignition coils that neeed to be changed. So upon leaving his shop after those parts were allegedly changed, immediately the CEL came on and my truck drove worse than it was before I brought it in... I called him immediately and was told to bring it in the following day. The next day, after multiple texts and confirmations of the time to meet, he literally texts me while I'm driving and a few minutes away from the shop that he can't work on it until the following day (REALLY?). Mind you, this is my business truck and l stressed to him that this was going to be a major inconvenience, especially after he gave me his word that he would fix it on the given time. So immediately after he blew me off I rushed to the closest mechanic I could find and luckily they were able to squeeze me in and diagnose the problem immediately. #1: The O2 sensor Ghadi swapped into my tru​ck was the wrong part number. The other shop swapped in the correct one and my truck was fixed! No more check engine light and it drove like new again... #2: The other shop verified that no new spark plugs or ignition coils were changed, however Ghadi billed me for new spark plugs, ignition coils and the one O2 sensor that was bad (which is FRAUD!) I really thought Ghadi was one of the honest & trustworthy shops but after this experience I'll never step foot in that place ever again... Not only will I file a complaint about this shop to the California Bureau of Automotive Repair, but I'll be disputing my charges he billed me for with my credit card company. I had an amazing experience with Fullerton Car Repair. I had started to replace my window regulator on my own when I realized the window was stuck in the "Up" position and I couldn't access the clips to release the window and finish the repair. David fixed it in 45 minutes and I was on my way. Three days later, my car overheated (smoke and everything) when I picked up my son from school. I had it towed to my house because I had to make sure Fullerton Car Repair would be available to fix it in the time frame I needed. On Davids's way back from another task, he stopped by my apartment complex to take a look at my car. We determined that it needed a flush and a new radiator based on the info I gave him that led up to this moment. I then had it towed to the shop and picked it up on Saturday. I got about 2 minutes from my home and it started to overheat again. It turned out the Thermostat that the replacement thermostat was faulty. I took it back and they fixed it and now my Jeep Liberty is running the best it has in years. They took such good care of me and the customer service was like nothing I've experienced in any auto shop. I mean, how many times has the mechanic come to someone's house just to diagnose the issue? That alone is why I am now loyal to Fullerton Car Repair for as long as they want me. Brooke runs the office and is kind and understanding. I am a single mom on a strict budget, and she made it virtually painless. It's a small "Mom and Pop" company and I think we need to support those more than the corporations. I called a "corporate-owned" company and they told me they would have to rebuild the whole engine. This place is amazing. The people are amazing. Period. read more

I was in a hurry to get some specialized work done and Fullerton Car Repair was willing to do it. Unfortunately I needed the work expedited and they couldn't fit me in quickly enough before I left town. However, Ghadi was professional enough to refer me to another business that was able to do the work sooner for a fair price. I feel that honestly and caring about customers' needs is just as important as price. I wouldn't hesitate for one to use Fullerton Car Repair!! read more

Dealing with auto problems is so frustrating and tedious, but we had such a great experience here. I thought my car's engine was totaled, but Ghadi brought it back to life and it is running great!
