Their response was that since I didn't respond they simply cancelled my appointment. Poor business practice. Have had a lot of work projects for at least 10 different companies in the past and when you set an appointment they all showed. Seems they didn't care as when I asked them are they coming when we made contact, their response was "not anymore ". Not even "can we reschedule". Would not recommend even bothering with this company. Questionable customer service.

I appreciate that they got the tree down w/o hitting the house. There were just too many issues. I removed the fence, minus the posts, due to being concreted in. They bent two posts and completely knocked one out. Damaged a fence cap next to the house. I asked them to leave 8' of the tree. I am a woodworker and the tree was in the perfect spot to carve the remaining trunk. Nope! I went in for lunch and came out to a huge wedge cut out at the base of the tree. The whole tree had to be cut down. The boss apologized. The whole tree had to be cut down. No offer to grind the stump for failure to follow instructions. I don't smoke and I despise picking up other people's cigarette butts. They were all over. The truck they had leaked oil all over the driveway. They kicked the rocks around to try to hide the oil. I asked to keep half of the mulch. Before I could tell them to stop the whole truck was dumped. They tossed a large amount of branches and pine needles on to the adjoining property. I am sure I will be hearing about it from the property owners. Be aware that you will have a hard time contacting them. Don't answer phone and you can't leave a message. The worst part... they still wanted me to pay the same amount. No offer of compensation. Got a little bit of attitude too.

They also dropped many logs onto my lawn resulting in many holes or divets that needed to be repaired by me. However, the worst part was the stump removal, or I should say lack thereof. I've included photos of what Brian repeatedly said was a sufficient removal of the stump. You be the judge. I didn't see this initially because the whole area was covered in stump grindings and assumed the stump underneath was gone. Joe at Earthworks was the first to respond. I had four outfits visit the job site and provide quotes. Joe's quote came in right in the middle of the pack, and he could schedule me the next week. And he very much seemed to be on the same page for what I was trying to accomplish. He and his crew just departed. They showed up on time, and took the time estimated. They were very careful around my landscaping, and did a great job of the tree work. They have completely cleaned up and left my yard in great shape. My front garden now will get the light it needs, and bigger than that, I now have a year round view of the Blue Ridge from my front porch. I'm very happy with their work, and believe I received very good value for the cost. Very highly recommended.

We live in a mountainous, heavily wooded area of no sidewalks…read more for many years, we have searched for someone to bring us gravel, and there were "touch up" jobs. More recently, we had someone agree to bring and spread gravel but they did not follow through. Recently, I saw a neighbor's new gravel paths, contacted her to ask "who did it?" "Adam Greenspan, of Greenspan Landcare." So I contacted Greenspan's through the website, and soon thereafter Adam telephoned, and came to meet my husband and me. We have a narrow, long, worn gravel driveway, 145' long, on a slope, 2 parking areas off the driveway, and paths in the woods. We were impressed with Adam's suggestions and plans for these areas. We were also impressed with the fact that Adam complimented the way the driveway had been done originally, 27 years ago, even with Road Bond as a base. Adam is pleasant, experienced, follows through! If he says he is coming, he shows up! Adam did recommend Road Bond for the driveway, topped with gravel. "Just" gravel for the flat parking areas. We discussed the size of the gravel, and went with pea gravel. He first got the parking areas, and driveway appropriately level. Following were many loads of Road Bond and gravel, competently "dumped," and spread by hand with rakes. It was wonderful to watch the dexterity, strength, and power of Adam and his team. Adam Greenspan has had amazing training and experience, offers suggestions of how something can be done, etc. Wants to understand what his clients want. Can offer numerous suggestions. Adam has a group of contacts, competent entrepreneurs in business for themselves, as is he. I've already seen the work of one of these, an amazing tree expert, climber, and remover (giant oak trees), beautifully arranging and stacking the cut wood.
