I'm warning anyone considering doing business with VASS CDJR -- run the other way. This dealership…read morehas cost us thousands of dollars, months without reliable transportation, and a mountain of stress. We put a $20,000 down payment down on a vehicle. In January of 2024. Vehicle went in for a recall fix in August and two months later I got concerned because they still had our vehicle and weren't helping us with any sort of ride or anything yet we're still making payments and going without a car and so I started doing some investigating and I came across a documented odometer rollback on our vehicle that they clearly attempted and I can only say this for certain because they publicly posted the vehicle we purchased for sale on their car lot September 9th of 2023 The documented odometer roll back was performed September 18th of 2023 full-blown proof they had it in their possession when the odometer roll back was documented. So we tried to return the vehicle and they have stonewalled us every single chance they get. It is now been a year and a half We have now got authorities involved the attorney general involved it has been a mess I am warning everyone stay far far away from this business. On top of all this they continue calling us telling us we have positive equity in our vehicle and that we need to bring it in for a trade-in but then when we ask them if they take trade-ins with documented odometer rollbacks on the car history report they tell us no. Which is absurd because they sold us the vehicle in the first place and they are refusing to help us return it. Who really would want to buy a vehicle with a documented odometer roll back on it nobody not a single person and especially not anybody who puts $20,000 down on a vehicle. You know how long it took us to save that money? We tried to give them a chance to make things right. They chose to lie, deflect, and deny responsibility. This place is not honest, not helpful, and absolutely not worth the risk. Don't learn the hard way like we did. They sent the attorney general fraudulent invoices with mismatching dates the receipt we received when we picked up our car after the recall was performed States what recall who did it All the information it needs to have and the invoice they provided to the attorney general shows that they did that same exact stuff and the same exact recall on a different date you can't do the same exact recall on a different date you just can't. It's fraudulent they are producing fraudulent paperwork to authorities on our case It's absurd don't buy from them

An Out-of-State Purchase Done Perfectly -- Ask for Matt and Luke…read more Buying a used car sight-unseen from across the country is one of those things that sounds like a great way to get burned. The horror stories are real -- cars that look nothing like the photos, hidden mechanical issues glossed over in the listing, bait-and-switch pricing when you show up, and last-minute fees magically appearing at the signing table. I knew all of this going in. I did it anyway, and I'm genuinely glad I did. I found a used car at Hyundai of Evansville and worked with Matt and Luke from start to finish. From the very first conversation, these guys were different. No pressure, no games, no manufactured urgency. We negotiated the price honestly and efficiently over the phone -- they were straightforward, reasonable, and never made me feel like I was being managed. All the paperwork was handled ahead of time so there were no surprises waiting for me when I arrived. I flew in specifically to pick up the car. Matt and Luke walked me through the vehicle thoroughly, answered every question, and had me on the road in about 10 minutes. Everything was exactly as represented -- not a single thing had been hidden, minimized, or oversold. The whole experience was cleaner and easier than buying a car locally has ever been for me. If you're hesitant about buying long-distance, let this review be your sign. Hyundai of Evansville -- and specifically Matt and Luke -- are the real deal. They earned my trust before I ever stepped off the plane, and they delivered on every bit of it. I'd do it again without hesitation.

Well I took it home and the very next morning it was dead again. I called roadside assistance and they gave me a jump and told me the battery was bad. This is the second battery that has been in a car that is not even a year old clearly there is something else wrong with it. I cannot get them to do anything because I bought it from Carvana and not from them. The manager told me this. This is the 3rd time my battery died.

This is a review/response to the response they tried to throw under my review…read more Now what we are not going to do is clarify a situation that YOU were not apart of...okay. I know what happened with my tire, it's my car and I was driving. I stated the service department, Ashlyn to be exact said that if the tire came the following Monday without delay from the hurricane that the tire would be put on and would have my car back that day. If you're a customer somewhere and are told something will be done if it has come, do you not expect that it be done? I had to call to even verify if the tire came. Then was told it would be a day or two. That is unacceptable when there was no delay and I was told MONDAY. Do you agree? So therefore nothing to clarify with that situation to come back with an excuse to my review because it is true and you all know it. Another thing the ONLY reason I got a loaner was because I griped about it...when you buy a car and told you'll have a loaner when it's at Volkswagen because you got all the bells and whistles since it sounded good...yeah that was a lie. It was like pulling teeth, then lo and behold a loaner appears out of thin air. You all didn't "graciously" loan me a vehicle lol. It was like I had to complain about something to get the respect and service I deserve and paid for. Again with excuses I understand there are agreements...I have rented vehicles and have had loaners before. I have also worked at a dealership in the service area so I'm no dummy ;) please your silly excuses to make my review not reliable isn't working. As to the rental agreement that is not what was stated to me or how it was stated nor was I told UNTIL getting there that a credit card was needed. When I had already sent personal information over text. Why wasn't I told about this? That's my problem there needs to be better communication. Mentioned needed was license and insurance but what else was needed? A credit card which was not told to me up until the transaction. The fact you all cannot see the issue makes a whole lot of sense to me now on how the service department is not up to par or have any idea how to treat customers. Please if you're going to respond take accountability to the issues addressed instead of throwing out excuses to make yourselves look better when in fact you all were the problem, not me. Again this is why I have not and will not be back at the Evansville location. Your lack of compassion to my complaint even shows perfectly how you all feel and take criticism...not well.

First, Joe recommended only the most critical repairs and gave me a tentative timeline of when other repairs may be needed. I'd be driving across the country and he made sure I was traveling in a safe vehicle. When I arrived out west in the scorching heat, my engine light went on. I took it to the local Scottsdale dealer on Camelback and they gave me a long list of critical repairs over $3500! They made it sound like my car would drop out from under me if I didn't have the repairs done. I called Joe. He disagreed with the assessment and spoke directly with the Scottsdale dealer. He is amazing. I took the car to a very reputable repair shop that my cousin has worked with for years, IMM Auto in Tempe. Cost for the actual critical repairs, plus a repair that would be needed by next summer, under $1000. My 4Runner is running great! I wish there was a Kenny Kent in every city that I could go to. I trust not only Joe Fredrich, but also the Kenny Kent dealership.
