I took up a bottle and asked how much is it knowing it's $80 dollars at any other liquor store. He told me "it should be 80" then proceeded to scan it and it was $120. It wasn't even a rare bottle. Other bottles that average $60 are also marked up incredibly high. It's ridiculous how high the markup is at this shop. I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you want to be robbed.

It's nice to walk into the friendly atmosphere and not into a seedy shop for winos. They have gift bags and other accessories you may need to make the perfect cocktail. There's usually a deal on one thing or another and plenty of beer salt at various levels of heat. They even have some lemons and other fruit near the counter in case you forgot to hit the H-E-B. The staff is friendly and pretty much hands off unless you need their help. There's plenty of parking as it is located in a very popular shopping strip near Military Drive and Zarzamora. You can grab your liquor, go to the bank, and head on through the Whataburger drive-thru all in one spot. What more can you ask for?

It can be a little overwhelming at first, but the staff is super helpful and they know exactly where everything is located. During my last trip here I was looking for THC beverages and was able to find a couple options. Please keep in mind that these are not cheap, and I thought their price was pretty spot on compared to other liquor stores like Total Wine. Last but not least, they have plenty of parking spots across the store, as well as street parking. I believe they also work as a distributor so just keep in mind that they sometimes have big moving trucks coming in and out the parking lot. Overall, I've always had a great experience at Alamo City Liquor and will definitely be come back!
