I think the novelty of experiencing something unique significantly improves ratings for most as…read moreit's far different than an escape room that almost everyone has already been to one or more times. So after the first game or two, I was envisioning a strong 5-star review. But after everything was said and done, I would feel, being very objective and unbiased, a 5.0 star would be a bit too high. More like 4.5 rounded up. Full disclosure we had 3 people which is the worst number as then you can't have two teams. But I'm disregarding that we had to play against a virtual house opponent. They actually let us play some games more than once so it had its upside too. There are 5 games based on the senses. I won't go farther as to not ruin the surprise. 3 were really fun, 1 was pretty fun, and 1 was mediocre although younger kids would like it (the balls). A couple games were more difficult than expected but still fun. The main thing that brings it down to a 4.5 for me, is the value. At $31 a person, we were done in about 50 minutes, about an hour including the orientation. Not the published 75 minutes. We felt like we wanted at least one more game to feel like it was worth the money or something far better than the quick ball game. I can see they priced it roughly around escape room prices. If you've never done it, feel $31/person is fair for an hour of entertainment, and have a group of 4-8, it's probably 5 stars. But the value would go down next visit as the uniqueness of a new experience is part of the entertainment. For us we felt dropping almost $100 on this was a tad pricey for 3 people so 4.5 stars. $25/person, would be 5.0 -stars. Staff is great. Realizing that our session might have been fast because we only had 1 team despite replaying a couple games twice, assuming a large group gets more play time and considering the two-team competition aspect, I'm rounding to a weak 5 stars. But definitely a 4-star for repeat visits.

She was very kind and had a lovely personality. She also gave us a courtesy call to ensure we located the center within the Grand Sierra Resort. What caught our eye was that we had to use one of our senses in each of the five challenges: smell, taste, touch, sight, and hearing. The day before we had gone to an escape room and were looking for more similar experiences. Some of the challenges required the team to be split into teams while other challenges required the entire team to participate. Overall, it was a great time and I highly recommend to take a few family members and friends to enjoy the experience with. They also have a snack bar there and a dart room called the Dart Side next door.

Most recently we visited Toytopia. This exhibit offers the chance to explore a hands-on history of toys from the past and into the future. My kids loved the oversized robotic claw, reminiscent of an amped up arcade machine. It was a blast trying to get the individually articulating fingers to close around the ball in order to lift it into the basket for the big reward. We also enjoyed the oversized battleship game. So fun to play and we spent 20-30 min there. Mr Potato Head was old school fun too. We made a competition out of it to see who could make the wackiest example. I think I won... or maybe my kids let me win. But the favorite had to be the mini arcade they had setup with some of the best old school cabinets. Donkey Kong, DK Jr., Dig Dug and so many more are all here as part of the exhibit and you could spend a long time here without realizing it! Oh and there's even a Zoltar fortune teller too! The check in was easy- a staff member came to us in line and confirmed our reservation. We got our skates and headed out on the rink. Within a few minutes the rink became very crowded and made for some traffic jams of people against the walls. I wish there had been a few announcements ahead of time or during the session to remind people of rink etiquette and safety. There were a few tables to sit at and some bleachers to sit on while putting on your skates. No designated area to put your shoes so we just put them under the bleachers. The "bouncer" at the rink entrance was pretty much useless. I saw him staring at his phone for most of the hour. There was at least one or two abandoned skate walkers left on the rink which made for a big hazard. So a bit more eyes on the crowd by staff members is where I see an area for improvement for the rink.

Good thing it was only a mildly warm weekend, as Idlewild is in the middle of the city, so not exactly "in the woods." However, there are lots of trees here so they provided some shade for our time here. Parking was easy, plenty of spaces along the main road of the park, and some dedicated spots in several areas too. We discovered that one of the main attractions here is a pond, so we picnicked while we sat on the side of the pond and watched ducks do their waddle thing and just like the ones at William Land Park, these ducks were also are very comfortable with humans and they came by and tried to ask for food and watched us eat. The pond is about the same size as the Land Park one, for those who know Sactown, but it's a bit bigger, I think. It's also a man-made pond, but with fish in it and wildlife around. Besides the pond, there's a rose garden just across the main road leading into the park, and a sensory garden, as well as a play structure for kids and a little train runs through the park that you can buy tickets and ride on (best for little ones). The park is pretty well-maintained and look to be in good condition overall. Landscaping is kept up with lots of trees, flora, plants, and fields throughout. All in all, a nice park in Reno, a little oasis in the middle of the biggest little city in Nevada.

### My Experience I…read morehad a horrible experience with this place\! A friend and I signed our boys up for volleyball classes. On the website, there was an option to indicate whether the child was a boy or a girl, so we assumed there would be a class suitable for them. However, when we arrived for the first class, there were approximately 25 girls and only our two boys.Because of this, they decided they do not want to continue. That's when our nightmare began. We tried contacting the person in charge to explain the situation because we did not think it was fair to pay $175 for just one class.Unfortunately, she never responded to our messages or phone calls. There is also no one responsible on the local that you can speak with. There are only two instructors, and they obviously cannot give you their attention while they are teaching. I sincerely hope the person in charge changes her attitude and starts paying more attention to customers and their concerns.Otherwise, unfortunately, this kind of customer service may cause the facility to lose many customers.
