That second opinion found: * No transmission failure * No case half leak * No need for transmission replacement The actual issues were: * An overfilled transmission * A drain plug O-ring * A hose clamp Had I not gotten a second opinion, I would have paid thousands of dollars for an unnecessary repair. That is deeply concerning. I was told the pink siliconesealant that showed in the blurry. Pictures was a leak and it's not. I'm sharing this so other customers know to get a second opinion before authorizing major repairs from this dealership. Based on my experience, I no longer trust their diagnostics.

If you own a sports car & buy directional tires at Knudtsen Chevrolet, BEWARE. I bought new…read moreContinental Summer Performance tires for my Camaro at Knudtsen. It took 2 1/2 hours to switch tires & do the alignment. I was showing a relative my new tires when I got home & he noticed the grooves on two tires were narrow on the outside & two other tires had wide grooves on the outside, so the passenger front & driver rear tires (opposite sides of the car!!) were installed/mounted backwards ('inside' side of tire was placed facing 'outside') in spite of each side of the tire being labelled 'inside' or 'outside'. If my relative had not noticed this, it would have resulted in damage to my Camaro (according to Continental tire company) & could possibly have resulted in an accident (especially on wet roads). If you've had directional tires installed at Knudtsen (Corvette & Camaro people), it would be worth reading your sidewalls to see if they were installed correctly. Also be aware that if you use a credit card, there is a 3% service fee on top of all charges. I asked beforehand if they give a discount for cash & was told 'no', then the fee came when I paid with a credit card.

The earliest that they could get me in was more than 40 days from today. I finally called another dealership in the area and they scheduled an appointment for the following day. I am not sure what is going on with this dealer but if you can't see a customer with an error code on the dash for 40 days something is seriously wrong.
