Full Court Press is truly a quality, specialty coffee shop. This is the first I've been to where there aren't drinks listed on the menu (e.g. latte, cappuccino, macchiato); instead, Full Court Press lists the espresso and filter options they currently have available and each of their details (i.e. where and who it's sourced from, a description of the aromas and flavor notes). I ordered a decaf latte. It was served at the perfect temperature; ready to drink, warm and not hot. In order to best taste and appreciate the essence of the roast, milk is added sparingly. Personally, I typically prefer my lattes with more milk, but I can understand their perspective and was mindful to enjoy it with that viewpoint in mind. For those who like sugar, it's worth noting that Full Court Press advises against adding sugar to their coffees and thus, they don't have it out on their tables. Their coffee is brewed to highlight its natural sweetness (although I wouldn't describe it as tasting particularly sweet, perhaps slightly), so they explain on their website that adding sugar can destroy that intended taste. This is not your Costa Coffee or Starbucks, people. If that's what you like, Full Court Press may not be for you (in fact, I would argue that perhaps you haven't been exposed to, or don't care to know, good coffee, LOL). Come in with an open mind and know that you are getting some of the best quality coffee you can be served worldwide! (I've traveled throughout Mexico, Central America, the U.S., Thailand, Cyprus, and Europe, and I can attest that it is at the top of my personal list for specialty coffee out there). read more
