I went in for a consultation, to talk about my specific needs and a possible reduced payment plan for self pay, as they don't take my insurance. The lady on the phone said that they could do this, but couldn't give me specifics, and said that I would have to speak to the Dr. about it during the consult. I wasn't told which Dr. I'd be seeing, and after there, realized that they have a huge practice. Once in the room, Dr. Jeff Spoonemore came in, introduced himself, and asked me to explain my areas of pain. I started to explain my first problem area, my neck, but halfway through my 2nd or 3rd sentence, he interrupted me and started talking over me. I paused, very surprised by his behavior, and then started back up trying to explain my problem, where it came from, and my previous 10+ years of experience with various chiropractors and their modalities / techniques, what does/doesn't work for my injuries, and the things that I've been specifically told not to have done...but he continued to interrupt and talk over me! I could barely get a full 1-2 sentences out! I kept pausing each time, then started back up once he was done talking about specifics that didn't pertain to what I was talking about. It was clear that he wasn't listening at all, and actually started mansplaining "Real chiropractic" to me...as if it was my first time. I was trying to explain that my neck shouldn't be cracked, due to 2 of my vertebrae being fused and my neck now curving backwards, and that the chiro's that have helped the most in the past, used traction (way more intense than what can be done at home alone w/ PT (which I also do)), and he interrupted me again, snapping, "That's not real Chiropractic. That's massage therapy". I again said that I know that different doctors use different techniques, but the only 2 that have truly relieved my pain for more than a couple of weeks at a time, did several techniques including manual adjustments, traction, using an activator, and even electroacupuncture. He again interrupted me and snapped, "We don't do acupuncture here, we're a REAL chiropractic practice, we do REAL chiropractic, which is manual adjustments". I finally asked him to stop interrupting and talking over me, and then he got even more agitated. He asked why I was even there, and I said that I had been referred by someone who had only been there a couple times, and I found out right beforehand that they didn't take my insurance, but that I was told they could do a reduced payment plan (which several chiro's offices have done in the past, for out of pocket patients). He again interrupted me and said that they don't do that, and I was told wrong. He then started mansplaining about how doctors can't do that, because...but at that point I'd had way more than enough, said that I was frustrated to have wasted my time looking into them, told him that he needed to let his front desk staff know that they shouldn't be telling people misinformation over the phone, made sure to get his biz card, and left. This chiropractor said he and the entire practice ONLY do basic manual adjustments (he did mention that they have an activator), he was extremely dismissive of my specific needs/concerns, and treated me like I was ignorant. read more

Care is above average. I went to Physical Therapy and had a bad experience. I came out in more pain than I had when I came in. So I went to Fulk and things seem to be turning around greatly. I was excited to see on their website that they offered "complimentary consultations" for scoliosis patients. I called and talked with the receptionist who confirmed that they would do a free consultation. I went in for my appt and had an exam and they took x rays (no adjustments done). Imagine my surprise when I go to check out and they tell me it will be over $300! I explained to them that I came in for a free consultation and after 5 minutes of them talking in the back, the lady comes back and says ok, just $200 then. They continued to say there was miscommunication but continued to try and charge me even though they said my notes show I was only doing the free consult. I will not be back and would not recommend this to anyone. read more

My wife went here today and was pretty disappointed. She was told the initial consultation would be between $49 & $79 depending on what what was done. She waited 20 minutes past her appointment time, was charged $168 for a consultation (no treatment or adjustment) including $18 for an icepack that was applied for 8 minutes, but wasn't given to her. They wanted even more for x-rays even though she just came in for a strained muscle. She left still in pain and won't be coming back. read more

OK, They were nice and the hours are great, Dr. Fulk gave me a very effective adjustment and knows what he is doing. But, I did the electronic stimulation on my back, and I left in as much pain as when I went in, if not more. And, I was in a lot of pocketbook pain when I left. I started going to Fulk Chiropractic several years ago. I was skeptical of chiropractic care in general. But the doctors here (I see Dr. Brenda Beatty) explain the science and theories behind the adjustments during the visits. They'll also try to figure out what you might be doing in your daily life that might be causing pain. It's made me a believer in chiropractics. As a runner, it has really helped keep me properly aligned so that I don't experience much leg or knee pain. Perhaps the best thing Fulk has going for it is the availability of the doctors. Regardless of the day (Monday to Sunday), somebody is there if you need to go in. And while I schedule much of my appointments in advance, I schedule many just an hour before I go in. They're very accommodating. The only weakness is the billing department, which I think they recently outsourced to another building. I've had three or four billing errors and had spent months on a couple of occasions trying to sort through it with the billing department. The doctors and the care, though, are so good that I continue to go here. read more

The treatment was alright and the groupon was a good deal. However, I felt like they were trying to sell me on services rather than address the actual issues. I won't be coming back simply because they tried to tell me I needed to come back three times a week for seven weeks. I get it, everyone needs to make money, but this was just overkill. I won't be coming back . Other than a brief adjustment done on my back & neck (nothing like what I've had before), they used a TENS unit & ice on my back & neck, something I could easily do at home. Not only that, but I sat in the exam room waiting to see someone for 30 minutes. Then I was moved to 3 separate rooms across the building while I was in pain. I was told by my insurance company that it was $20 for chiropractic visits. I asked specifically if that was for first time visits as well. The representative said yes. So I made an appointment with them. when we arrive they asked for not only our insurance card but our medicare card too. Which we are not to use because we have the advantage plan. They they starting spouting off all this stuff about x-rays & other stuff so I said we don't want xrays just an adjustment. I ASKED IS THERE OTHERS CHARGES BESIDES THE $20, they just kept saying we don't know. My husband came out & they said we owed $181. I feel like they LIED they could have told us there would be a new patient charge but they avoided answering our questions. PLUS the doctor didn't even do a good adjustment. I AM VERY UPSET WITH THE WAY THEY DECEIVED US ON THE COST. If i could check minus 5 I would because they don't even deserve a star. we are on a limited income & this really HURT! read more

This place is a scam of an office and will charge you for services even if you can't have the procedure done due to pain. I went due to throwing my back out and was unable to be manipulated due to the pain but was billed as if I received the full service. They will also charge you to use their reusable ice pack. This is, hands down, the best chiropractic office I've ever used. I've been seeing chiropractors, on and off, for the last 20+ years. Not until seeing this practice, have I felt so heard, and cared about. Dr. Charles Fulk not only listened to my concerns, and allayed my fears, but he showed true caring when he called to check in with me the evening of my first adjustment, just to see how I was doing. I work in the medical field, and I can tell you - this level of caring is very rare. Their examination was the most thorough I have ever received, which shows the level to which they strive to identify problem areas, in order to provide the most comprehensive treatment. I came to this office in November 2020 and have not recovered from the hip pain that I received from One of the dr's. I now have to see Kansas City bone and joint because I have been in so much pain from what feels like a tear in a ligament. He was especially rough with me and I have not wanted to see him again. I had Dr. Corey work with me on my back pain for several months. Yes I went way more initially followed by fewer visits as I felt better. Fulk Chiropractic is busy but I was always able to get in with the doctor even when I was late for the appointment or did a walk-in. I used them in the past and will use them as needed in the future. Any type of healthcare is expensive whether it be chiropractic or physical therapy. But I know they'll work with you whether you have insurance or not. Their team of doctors are always courteous. I know there are choices and people with bad experiences, I'm sure. But I can say back pain & such doesn't get resolved in simply one visit. My experience with them has been very good. read more

This place had the potential to get 5 stars. The reception was very polite, both doctors I interacted with were professional and kind. The issue is have, however, was with the education of the reception staff. I want to make sure this situation doesn't happen to anybody else. I was falsely under the impression that my insurance was accepted at Fulk. Turns out it was not, and I was told that when I arrived for my appointment. That sucks, but okay. I ask how much this is going to cost me and I am told that the office gives a discount to people without insurance, so my cost would be $49 for an adjustment. That was all that was said to me. So to me.... I interpret that as meaning the cost of my visit will be $49. I was reluctant to even pay the $49 but I've been in pain for a month now, so I proceed with the appointment. Appointment goes fine, I go to pay, and the same receptionist that told me about the $49 discount checks me out, says my total is $149. I ask why, and she says the $49 was for the adjustment and the $100 was for the cost of the exam, but in the future, all my visits would only be $49 since I'd already had an exam. Well that's great and all but I would not have proceeded with my appointment if I had known I would be spending $149. I would have left and found another chiropractor that did accept my insurance. I understand why the cost of the exam would apply to me, but I would have liked to have been informed of my COMPLETE cost before I received treatment; not only given half the information. If I was reluctant to pay the $49, one could imagine how heart wrenching it was to hear I now owed $149. I'd never been to a chiropractor before, I didn't know that exams and adjustments were different things. I wouldn't have even known to ask the question of "what is the cost of an exam + adjustment?" I feel that this should be automatic information given to patients, especially those that ask for cost information and explicitly do not have insurance coverage. read more

Omg. RUN ..FAST AWAY.....super sketchy. It's either Intentional misalignments or the Doctor is ignorant of his duty. I question this money- making strategy. I have received 3 bad adjustments. I make this allegation knowing the weight of what I speak of. However, I just left this facility 3 hours ago crying, in pain, seeing spots- headed to a hospital. Lets talk about Faulks Failure AND THE REASON I HAD TO SEEK HELP: AS I LEFT IN WORSE PAIN PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. A. Problem: I asked the Dr. To re-examine his adjustment after I almost immediately started seeing spots and my headache was raging, along with new pain on my right side down my leg. (It's not uncommon- in the last decade one other doctor had to readjust me immediately). 1ST RESOLVE ATTEMPT: Refusal to fully to check adjustment upon complaint of new pain, and headache and bulging vein. He did re-check my neck in the hall advising me to go home and take an ibuprofen. B. PROGRESSING PROBLEM: as I was at check out, I couldn't stand and found myself in a chair twisting to escape my pain. The office staff tried to talk to me but at this point I am in a pain fog. I left When I couldn't get in the truck due to my pain I went back inside to get help. 2nd Resolve attempt Failure: The office staff tried to get the doctor to help. The Dr. Refused in a 5 min. lecture of an excuse. Feeling defeated, I tried to leave. At this point I'm naseuated, unable to keep still, seeing spots. A cold compress wasn't going to help when I needed a true adjustment. INCREASE OF PROGRESSING: I was left with out choice to leave in excruciating pain, crying, while feeling foggy. my left side was cramping and foot spasms, my right leg was unable to lift high enough to climb in my truck. My husband had to get out of the vehicle, pick me up to place me inside, considering he was in uniform there is a great cause for great issue. ISSUE: MY 1ST Review Faulk Chiro tried to make this last event right BUT OF COURSE MY *COMPLIMENTARY OFFICE VISIT WASN' T IN MY RECORDS. I paid -of course that visit was not in my record. $58.00 for inadequate care. 3rd visit $0.00, pillow of Tears and gain in pain! P.s. Dr. Brown who with some of his answers makes me believe he faked his license. When I told him I had x-rays done at Life University he said he would like to see them because some radiologist review differently than a chiropractor. Wth?? LIFE UNIVERSITY IS A TOP TIER CHIRO SCHOOL. THEIR STUDENTS ARE BETTER THAN HIS CARE. My resolve may be to have their practice looked into. The staff in the PT section is great, very friendly and will make you feel comfortable. Horrible experience here! The doctor was chewing gum the entire time & kept calling my husband 'buddy'. My husband is in the medical field himself & that's something you learn not to do in patient care 101 (basically common sense). It was so unprofessional and distracting. Then instead of doing what it was that we asked (an adjustment-he's had this happen before) he did several different 'treatments' (complete BS) & our insurance which is very good wouldn't cover it (almost $300) because of how they bill. They bill as if it were numerous treatments when he only went in for one issue: a pulled muscle in his back. The whole 'assessment' part of the exam was laughable and the electric shock type therapy they do is pointless. Not to mention the equipment is so outdated it reminded me of something from a black and white movie. They charged us $20 for a ice pack we didn't buy but actually refused. Overall this place definitely has a good scam going on. I believe they keep their doors open because they are one of only a few places open on the weekend for such emergencies as my husband had and people in pain will go anywhere. Truthfully you're better off waiting until the following normal business day and going to a professional respectable practice that isn't just trying to take your money without offering any true relief. I went to Fulk Chiropractic for several months - you know the routine... 3 times a week for X amount of weeks, months, etc. (which I did). The chiropractor did not help me. The doctor that took my x-rays had to retake some... (x-rays are not good for you) and when asked for something different, to use an activator, no one really knew much about one. I chose this Chiropractor because it was a Saturday and they were open and assured us they took our insurance. I ask about the cost before we made the 45 mile trip and was told the most it would be was $75 without insurance. The reason for the visit was my husband gets his hip out of joint with affects his sciatic nerve. He's had this same issue many times. So we get there and were informed he would have to have X-rays. So while we are waiting I notice that out of 6 people leaving they are being told to make an appointment to come back the next day or the day after. I mean every one of them. So after the exam and the X-rays it's confirmed that the issue is just what we thought it was. Then the Dr starts questioning us about what our insurance pays because he doesn't want to get to crazy with the bill. So he does the adjustment and of course says we need to make an appointment for the next day. The next day my husband is still on an ice pack and says it feels better than it did but I can tell it's not all the way in. Needless to say we did not go for another appointment and dread getting the bill, as they would not even let us pay our co-payment. They said the billing department was not open. Well if they accept our insurance our copayment is the same regardless and the rest is written off. This is the first chiropractor my husband has ever been to that could not get him adjusted with one try especially knowing what the issue was and that he's had it numerous times. The only reason I gave them 3 stars is because they were open on a Saturday, the staff was pleasant, it was a nice building and he did get minimal relief until I could get him somewhere else. read more

I have been going to Fulk now for at least 3 years and I am entirely satisfied and pleased! My practitioner, Dr. Chris Beaty, is kind, efficient and very skilled in my adjustments which are every few weeks due to my condition. I have utilized other Docs there upon occasion and I have been very satisfied with them as well. Recently, I had an muscle injury in my leg, which may not seem like a chiropractic thing but I was treated with ultrasound over a period of weeks with great success! The office staff is lovely, just friendly enough to be caring but yet not intrusive. I highly recommend this practice. read more
