Fukuko is a cool little bar in the Britomart Precinct that is just that little bit different with its waxed looking concrete floors fur covered bar stools. The drinks menu is actually cool to read, with twists on some classics and Fukuko originals thrown in the mix which make for some interesting drink options. There is also wide range of Japanese sake and whisky as well as the very popular Japanese beer Kirin. Although Fukuko is a bar, the food is not your usual bar food (forget boring peanuts). The Japanese inspired, western fusion small plates really add to the overall experience of Fukuko which is a little funky and quirky. The staff here are very nice too, they actually go over the menus with you and happily explain any of the dishes or drinks if you're somewhat culture shocked. Fukuko is a place I'd go back to just because it is different and also for the nori chips.

Haven't eaten at Fukuko, but three cocktails down the other night, I think I should've indulged. Fukuko is a small bar that feels like it's designed to cater to the people waiting for a table at Ebisu or one of the nearby Britomart eateries. The cocktails are good - we had the Earl Grey Martini (very good), the Gimlet (equally as good), a champagne cocktail I can't remember the name of (not as good) and a cocktail with a number as the name but I can't remember that either (several high fives for this one). The service is okay, I've had friendlier waiters but this guy did the job. The table next to us had food and although I can't tell you what it tasted like, I can say that it looked good. Parking in Britomart sucks.

Drinks galore! Go the cucumber cocktail 100% far out goodness

Best cocktails in Britomart ... My big recommendation would be the cucumber cocktail but hubby loves espresso martini. Very friendly, I hear the food is awesome, will def eat next time. This is a must stop in the district!!

Fantastic happy hour for Bonvoy members (which is free to join). I was able to score $10 glass of…read morewine and $10 bar bites! We had the pork belly sliders and the chicken bites. Both were delicious and great for the price. After HH, I stayed for a Margherita pizza and more wine. The pizza was thin crust and tasted fresh. Only thing that was interesting to me was the inability to order the same HH wines after HH. The selection switches out. Service was really great and friendly. It started off rather quiet for HH but began to fill as time went on. Plenty of seating options and trendy decor.

VISIT: end of February 2020…read more This was a pleasant surprise as we ate here probably every day of the 3 that we were in town. I typically shy away from restaurants that are in the hotel because they tend to be pricey. We felt, for Americans, that this was decently priced and that each time we ate here, we got a different meal FOOD WE TRIED: - Chicken and vegetable dumplings - Prawn and chive Gyoza - Arancini - 55 day aged beef brisket sliders - Seafood Risotto - Spaghetti with mussels, snapper and prawns The sliders, gyoza and spaghetti with seafood was VERY good. I wouldn't order the dumplings again, but I always forget that chicken dumplings just aren't the same as pork and/or shrimp. The Arancini was a bit disappointing in flavor, maybe just a touch more salt would have been helpful and same thing with the flavor of the Risotto. The seafood was cooked perfectly, but the sauce on it just wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked, for a risotto. Service was always great with the staff always helpful with recommendations. We were very happy to have access to this restaurant during our stay the Four Points
