A sympathetic bar and asian/fusion cuisine right in the middle of Bern with a nice terrace. We stopped there with a friend for a coffee and a dessert and were promptly served, and his stroller was found a spot in the shade just near our table. So the service is great. On a Sunday night, there weren't a lot of options for open restaurants. We also wanted something lighter and with more vegetables than we've had previously on the trip. Fortunately, this place was open. The Thai dishes were solid. Started with Thai beef salad, which came in a bowl with very fresh tomatoes, celery, red onion, scallions and beef; it had just the right amount of light spice. Also got the Massamam and Yellow Curries. They were fine, if a little boring. Could have used a little more zest. The space was a bit spare, and felt more like a quick serve restaurant. As such, the 136 ch francs bill was a bit surprising. read more

The meal consisted of great sushi and appetizers with a wonderful view. Service was on point.

A little slow? VERY SLOW. and I was really patient but after an hour I just politely followed up and the manager who was our waiter seemed to be annoyed that we were following up. I let it go. Finally our food came...I noticed the kids meal did not come with rice so again, politely asked whether their meals came with rice... This time the lady waiter gave me a face while walking away. This time I was pissed but planned on taking the high road and letting it go for the Nth time. But, when she came back she continued with her attitude and told me that she only has two hands... That was the straw that broke the camel's back... I spoke to the manager who was trying to defend the waitress. He was reiterating that she only has two hands...duh. I know but that's not the point. I was just asking if their meal came with rice bc if it didn't I would have ordered rice. Anyway I told him, if they don't like their jobs, they should quit!!! Not coming back here again and if you believe in customer service, you shouldn't as well. There are a lot of other restaurants who will treat you well and deserves your business better. I went for dinner with my wife on a week day and the service was of very good. I would highly suggest to pick the fugu selection as an appetiser dish but you better be at least two or else it will be all you can eat! It gives you a first extensive taste of the cooks ability to make dishes with a little spice but just the right amount not to set your mouth on fire (and I'm nonetheless kind that like super spicy food). Super calme place to eat, very modern and zen decoration. The restaurant seems quite small and I would highly suggest to book a table before going. read more

Nice, modern and minimalist atmosphere, friendly and professional (though a tad slow) service. Lovely, well prepared and spiced dishes, especially the daily specials. As a Valentines dinner, we had perfectly prepared wild salmon prepared in Banana leaves with a red curry sauce and Jasmine rice. On the way out, all female patrons were given a single white rose, presented by one of the staff. Very nice touch. Nice wine and sake list as well. read more

Terrible and arrogant staff Staff seemed to do not care about us, as we waited to be seated. Finally we were sitting at our table on the wall side (they only have long tables for 6-8 persons) as one of the waiters told us that we probably would have to change places later. As we asked about the reason he could not give us a reasonable answer. We found it so terribly annoying and ridiculous because he continued to insist so strongely, that we walked out and went to the excellent italian restaurant accross the street! That's actually the second time we tried to eat there, but the staff was both of the times rude and incredibly arrogant! There are so many much better restaurants in Bern with friendly and professional staff! read more

Ordered fugu satay and tuna tataki. The service was very friendly and attentive at first. Nevertheless we waited for more than one hour for our food to arrive (we were there between 13:30 and 15:00). The satay was presented poorly on the plate: four satay sticks with a blopp of sauce poured over it and a small bowl of watery cucumber salad. The satay was unenjoyable as too much salt had been added. The tuna tataki consisted of 8 smaller piles of Japanese daikon (bland and watery kind of radish) with smaller tuna pieces on top - the tuna was nice, but unfortunately covered with lots of mayonnaise - raising doubts about the cooks taste buds. Overall the food was disappointing - given especially the price they charge (CHF 25 for the satay and 35 for the tuna tataki). We tried to leave as quickly as possible but it seems that our criticism scared off the waiters and it took some time to pay the bill (we had to get up and go to the desk for this). We skipped coffee and desert and had it nearby in the Old Tramdepot. This was our first and last time at Fugu. read more
