Definitely come here if you love ceviche. They have a station in the middle of the restaurant where a ceviche chef prepares ceviche to order. You can watch him cut up the fish and mix up the veggies all night long. It is very good and fresh. I had the salmon ceviche, and it was so delicious. It was probably my favorite ceviche during my whole trip, and I ordered a lot of it over the course of the week. Fuego was probably my favorite meal while at the Paradisus after Passion. It is adult only, which probably added to our enjoyment (we left the kids at the Kids club). the food is pan-Latin American, but it was really mostly Peruvian in my mind. My husband had the surf and turf. I have no idea how it was, as he ate everything without offering me a bite! (I hope that means he enjoyed it!) I had the lamb as my entree, and it was quite good. Servings are not huge here compared to other restaurants on the resort, but you could always order more than one dish, I suppose.

Delicious ceviches, seafood and meat dishes in Paradisus La Perla. The fish and seafood were very fresh. The presentation of each dish was composed. Fresh bread was offered along with three types of butter: regular, ginger and seaweed. The waiter Francisco and Agustin were attentive and helpful from start to finish. A reservation is strongly recommended. Muy delicioso.

My parents and I went to Playa del Carmen and we stayed at Paradisus Playa del Carmen La Perla. We had dinner in the Fuego the night before our departure and it indeed completed our vacation in Mexico on a high note! The food at Fuego was absolutely amazing. We had the pleasure of dinning in a number of restaurants on La Perla property and we think Fuego is the best of them all, even better than the two that are generally only available to Royal Service and Family Concierge guests, such as La Palapa and Olio. The service was great too. We had pleasure talking to our waiter Reyes at the Fuego and really enjoyed his service. We wish we could have discovered this restaurant earlier instead of our last night at La Perla.

We were skeptical to try this unique menu, but decided to take a chance when friends told us how wonderful it was. Fuego turned out to be the best meal of our 7 day vacation here in Playa Del Carmen. From appetizers to the dessert (beginning to end) our food was amazing. Thanks to our waiter Ramon for your recommendations on all our choices and for ending our wonderful experience with a chocolate martini and coconut creme Brulé.

Chef Pablo handled his biz and team this evening with impeccable skills. My hunny ordered the Salmon glaze with maraculla (or something rather) and I had the Tacu Tacu (flank steak) and both were out of this world. This place is a can't miss. The desserts were also phenomenal, cheesecake and coconut creme brûlée. Just eat here already!

Fuego had a very nice ambience and the service was great. We had sangrias to start however there eas no fruit in it..lol. They give you a welcome dish..its tiny but good. The shrimp tempura, fish and scallop appetizer was yummy. I ordered salmon for my meal and it was topped with black sesame seeda and papaya salsa. It was delicious.

We came here by chance during our stay at Paradisus and we are so thankful that we did. Wow! This is hands down the best restaurant at the resort. My boyfriend and I could not wipe the smiles off our faces the entire meal! Our waiter, Jesus, gave amazing recommendations and great service. The Nikkei Tuna Tiradito is an absolute MUST. It was so good we had to put in a second order! For main courses we chose the Sautéed Beef Tenderloin and the Rack of Lamb (suggested by Jesus) and wow... so amazing. The sauce on the beef tenderloin dish was delicious and the lamb literally melted in our mouths. All in all, it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in years and I am still savoring it as we speak! I cannot say enough about this restaurant - the staff, the atmosphere, and most importantly the food went beyond our expectations. Highlight of the trip!
Despite the great service and lovely location on the beach, if you have other options, I'd go there first. This restaurant specializes in charring their dishes. The flavor of what we ordered was definitely accentuated by how the food was prepared. I guess I can't complain about the "Fuego "part of their food. Why it is lacking to stars is that basically everything they served was charred, there was nothing else offered that could balance out all the burnt food we were eating. So it made everything start to taste the same which was rather unfortunate considering how tasty the food initially seemed. We did get a bit burnt out (haha) with all the char and nothing fresh to balance the burnt flavor. This place would be better for a snack I guess? read more
First time having grilled octopus and it was delicious and perfectly grilled with a slight char and while remaining tender. My entree came with some mashed potatoes that were also awesome with plenty of butter whipped in which made them rich and super creamy. My only regret was I didn't order two of them.....low lighting gives this place a romantic ambiance. Service was top notch.. thank you for the great meal. read more

F-ing raccoons. Total bull shit. How is one supose to eat when the raccoons eat your damn food off of your plate for you as soon as it is delivered. We spent the entire dinner literally chasing raccoons away from our kids table. No help from the staff. For real, if there is a rodent problem hire someone to sort them out. read more

Fuego restaurant at Paradisus Playa del Carmen has some nice menu choices and the service we received was very good! We returned a second time this week and enjoyed it just as much - tried different items, took pics this time, and again enjoyed our meals and service! read more

Very good view and a beautiful scenery the only problem the food. It came out cold and it's not exactly what it said on the menu. The service wasn't also prestigious. read more
A few weeks ago we went to the all inclusive Paradisus playa del Carmen for a wedding. Fuego was one of the reservation restaurants we decided to try! The ceviche was so fresh and delicious. We had a big group of people so we tried all of the ceviches on the menu. The octopus entree was not my favorite. Dessert was ok, we tried the 2 they had available that night. Service was very good. Our waitress was very attentive and nice. read more

Perfect meal- service was excellent and food was even better- a lively friendly place- We'd go back if we get the chance.
Down here vacationing in Playa del Carmen at the Paradisus La Perla. With one exception, all restaurants within the resort are included in the resort price, so we've been going to a different place each night. Tonight's dinner was at Fuego, the resort's Latin Fusion restaurant. We started with appetizers: I had the octopus ceviche and Wife N had a tuna crudo (though it was called something else). My octopus ceviche was absolutely fantastic. It's very easy to screw up octopus--steam or grill it a couple minutes too long and you're serving rubber tires. These were decidedly perfect. Even octopus-hating Wife N said "hmm.. That's not terrible." which if you knew her hatred of eating all things tentacular you'd understand that glowing review. Her tuna crudo appetizer was also great, though it was a touch spicy for her. For dinner, she ordered something with tenderloin (kind of looked like a stew with big filet chunks), which was hearty and flawlessly cooked rare to order. I had an Atun Roho (red tuna) which while cooked mid-well (beyond my personal preference of rare) was very tasty. It was sitting on a bed of something I can't pronounce but the best way I could describe it was if risotto and polenta got together and had little granular babies on the plate. Oh the flavor! And it was so well paired with the tuna. Excellent! Dessert was a trio of cheesecake, semifredo, and a quinoa ice cream (three different plates). All of them were fantastic, a perfect and reasonably light finish to a wonderful meal. We ate here several years ago at our last visit, and just like last time, we came away with the opinion that Fuego is still one of the best dinner places in the resort. We'll definitely be back again if we're back here. read more

AMAZING! I didn't even have the chance to take pictures because the food was so delicious! You NEED to come here while staying at Paradisus or Playa del Carmen. The best standard restaurant at the Paradysus other than Passion which is an extra fee. Service, decor and cuisine are exceptional. The lamb chop dinner was so good I ordered it when I came back. An entire ceviche bar where the chefs prepare your appetizers fresh. read more

I will say I didn't eat there. We made a reservation for 730 and got there at 745 and waited in front to get seated and the lady finally comes and looks at me and goes oh it's 8, I gave your table up. I showed her my phone which still showed 7:51 plus the fact that we waited at restaurant for good 5 minutes in front. They were very rude given the fact that I was Even holding my 18 month daughter and tried to explain that we got late because we had to feed our daughter at buffet first Left a very sour taste in my mouth and we decided to skip that restaurant based on that horrible rude service altogether. read more

Perfection! That's how we describe Fuego and its wonderful Chef Pablo Allcca Taipe. This is our second time dinning there and the experience only gets better! Having shellfish allergies plus being a vegetarian, my options are very limited but at Fuego our server Viridiana along with Chef Pablo went that extra mile to spoil me gastronomically and watched closely to avoid any possibility of cross-contamination. Starting with a house welcoming ceviche made out of melon pearls and a mango sauce followed by an out of this world fruit and vegetable ceviche, the magnificent Causa Peruana especially adapted to my dietary needs, the delicious cold potato and asparagus cream, the outstanding vegetable tian closing the course with a delicate and spectacular chirimoya mousse. My husband (an omnivore) has also wonderful things to say about the different dishes he had experienced so far. I simply have no words, the food is beautifully presented and the flavors involved with every bite are unimaginable! They truly stimulate the senses taking close care of every single aspect. Strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a unique gastronomic experience. A standing ovation to Chef Pablo and his amazing staff at Fuego, I can't wait for our next visit. read more

Oh my goodness amazing. Each bite is truly an explosion of flavor. I'm not a big seafood fan but this food was the exception.

Thank you. I am a vegetarian and we ended up eating at Fuego twice- not just for the outstanding food (and it was outstanding), but because of the care and passion Raul, the manager, showed us. The first time we ate there, we almost left because I wanted something hearty and didn't just want vegetables. By no means was this a reflection on our server or the staff. We kindly thanked them and let our server know that we were going to try somewhere else and instead of accepting that, he quickly got Raul who prepared an exquisite, off menu, 5 course meal that was completely vegetarian, for me. The passion he has for his food is so obvious that it nearly brought me to tears. He just wanted every single guest in his restaurant to leave happy. We ate there again two nights later for my boyfriend's birthday dinner and requested a nice table. I was completely happy (and looking forward to) the same delicious meal Raul had for me the first time we went. Instead, Raul had us in a private room and treated us to an amazing dinner with wine pairings for each course as well as a whole new, specially prepared, off menu, vegetarian 5 course meal for me as well as an amazing special menu for my boyfriend. The food, once again, was so delicious. This was just one of the wonderful experiences we had during our vacation. I work in luxury property management so I understand how stressful customer service can be. I was so moved by how much effort your entire team put into making this vacation so special for my boyfriend and me. read more

We reserved a table 3 weeks in advance for 8:00 pm. When we showed up, although we were on the list, they said they were done serving. When I pressed them, they said "we ran out of food". We were pissed off especially after taking a taxi quite a ways to get there. I should have demanded compensation. There were only a couple of tables with customers and it was obvious that the staff just wanted to finish and go home. I feel bad for the restaurant owner who I'm sure has no idea his staff is not honoring reservations and turning businesses away..... read more

Uno de los mejores restaurants de Paradisus. Especialidad en cocina Latinoamericana y ceviches.
