Fuddy Duddy was recommended to me by a colleague because it sells a kind of peanut butter that we both enjoy (B Nutty Peanut Butter in the flavor Totally Toffee, for anyone curious), but she also raved about the fudge. With that recommendation in mind, my mother and I stopped by to see the shop when we were wandering through Owego to do a bit of shopping. We were delighted by the selections in this cute confectionery shop - and besides jars of my peanut butter and a couple selections of fudge, we also bought cheese, peanut brittle, and various jarred, pickled items. I'm much more a fan of savory vs. sweet, so it was nice to find selections that covered all kinds of tastes. The man tending the counter was an absolute sweetheart and offered to let us try samples of the fudge flavors before we made our selections. He was very courteous when assisting others in the store as well. My colleague also mentions this place has things like SO MANY basket options for the Easter holiday. It seems like they really prepare for the various holidays throughout the year + want to ensure they offer quality product. Great experience all around - I'm sure I'll be back (especially when I need more peanut butter!), and I'd recommend it to others as well. :) read more

First of all- wow such a cool place. So many cool sodas and snacks to try. I got two sodas - both were so smooth and good, 3 mixes for my mom and sisters, fudge for me (very good not overly sweet), and a few candies. Everything is delicious. Amazing place to stop by on your way home to and from your destination just get off the exit and venture just a mile from the hotels,gas stations and local fast foods. You won't regret it. I received a gift from this company which was nothing like what is shown on their website. It is an entirely different candy. I called to explain this situation and was spoken to very rudely and hung up on. I would not recommend this company due to their rudeness and disregard with sending the wrong product than what was ordered. Also the person knows it was a different candy because she claimed to have packaged it and I was told that the one sent was the one they received. She in no way wanted to hear that it was the wrong candy, even after admitting it was. When I suggested that they change the photo of the product I was hung up on. Worst customer service I have ever seen. Candy is awful. The only reason I gave one star is because they won't allow you to post without any star otherwise I would not have given any star. read more

Such a cute local shop in Owego! I went around Easter so they had a bunch of Easter themed goodies for sale. They make cute bundles of dessert with chocolate, candy, and other sweet treats. I bought two "ice cream" cones filled with M&M's-- so adorable! They also sell fresh cookies and fudge in the glass by the cashier waiting to be consumed. ok, so while i really liked this place the 2 times i've been there, this place is a little hard to review for me. the store is very nice and has a lot to offer, some of which is labeled as other people's products (i believe they were jars of sauces and jellies), a lot of which i assume is other people's products (bagged snack mixes), and some of which is hard to tell if it's other people's products (assorted chocolates). according to their website they claim to make their own fudge, truffles, and cookies, which is great because out of everything i tried, their fudge and cookies were really really good. one of the truffles i had was really good as well, while the other one i was underwhelmed with. i know this place has a small staff, but if they got rid of a few things and everything here was homemade then this review would easily be a 5. i bought some peanut butter cups and some almond buttercrunch. 3 peanut butter cups were $5, and 5 small pieces of the buttercrunch were also $5. the PB cups were ok, the texture was good but the flavor was kinda off. i looked at the ingredients and the first one listed was maltitol, which i had never even heard of. i looked it up and it's a sugar substitute. a couple other ingredients also seemed iffy to me. as for the buttercrunch, it was the worst i've had. no flavor and awful texture, you can't even chew and swallow all of it, it gets stuck in your teeth and you're forced to spit it out! this place has a $10 credit card minimum, which isn't really an issue because it's so easy to spend a lot of money here! their fudge is great, and they aren't afraid to let you sample it, the staff here is definitely very nice. and they had this one cookie that i absolutely loved, it was a cranberry cookie with an orange glaze on it. i'd never seen a cookie like that before but it was amazing (some walnuts would have been great in it though!) so definitely check this place out, it's totally worth it, just stay away from the buttercrunch and PB cups read more

This shop is tucked away on a side street in the villiage of Owego NY. make sure you find your way to it. the service staff are very cordial and invite you to a sample of their product. Pricing is fair and oh...you must try their cookies. the clerk told me ,"these are the best cookies you will eat" she was right. for those who live near by they have a "cookie club card" and you will fill it right up.
