Great spot! It has a duck pond, swing set, playground, sand volleyball court, nice size lawn area, benches, Water Fountains, a bathroom, and plenty of shade from the big beautiful trees.

a beautiful afternoon at the park

Awesome little park...a nice pond with a beautiful fountain. Lots of ducks. Very nice playground area for toddlers and older children. Picnic tables and grills available. Only one shelter for parties at a small rental fee, even cheaper if you are a South Miami resident. The beauty of it is that you will be the only party there. Plenty of parking and nice clean bathrooms. It even has a sand volleyball court. I love this place.

Nice new equipment. Nobody here on a Sunday morning! Easy to park and lots of ducks and beautiful pair of Egyptian geese in the pond.

Clean and lots of parking. The playground is good for 4 year olds or older kids. Not good for toddlers.

In 1912, Williamson came from Madison, Florida, and settled in what was then the young town of Larkins. He became the first African American landowner when he purchased 6500 SW 60th Avenue in Larkins. In 1916, Williamson donated land for the St John's AME Church, one of Larkins' first churches at 6461 SW 58th Place. Later, Williamson also donated land for the JRE Lee School. Standing at only 5'4" Williamson was affectionately as the "Little Mayor" of the community for his business acumen and generosity which improved the lives of the people living here. The neighborhood became known as Madison Square after Williamson's hometown. Williamson passed away in 1972. Today the 3.22 acre Marshall Williamson Park is a valuable recreational resource for urban South Miami. Park amenities include a picnic area, gazebo, playground and tot lot, restrooms, and two tennis courts. This neighborhood park is the ideal place to take the kids to enjoy the outdoors. Participate in a game of tennis or play on the newly renovated playground. The park also has a meeting room for small gatherings. Marshall Williamson would be happy to know that there is this special place bearing his name to enjoy recreation in his beloved community.
