If I could give Dr. Warner 100 stars, I would in a heartbeat. After having a completely terrible…read moreexperience with another OB very early in my pregnancy, I went online and googled "best OB in Evanston" Dr. Warner was at the top of the list. After reading a bunch of other reviews, I switched my insurance over to her and never looked back. She is knowledgeable, patient, responsive, honest, and every other positive thing you'd look for in an OB. I was almost 3 months pregnant at our first visit and reeling from my previous terrible experience with Dr. Herriges and his practice (that's a whole other story - feel free to read that review if you want to know what not to look for in an OB). She answered all of my questions, helped my icky feelings fade away, and put my mind at ease in a matter of 15 minutes. She helped me get my very limited medical records sent over, reviewed my results from those tests and let us know that everything was going well thus far in a matter of days. Throughout my pregnancy, she never cancelled an appointment, was extremely communicative, and kept me confident that we could totally do this. Her office has a nurse available to answer questions M-F and they call you back promptly with answers to your questions, no matter how silly the questions may seem. On to my delivery, which was unplanned to a degree. Our babe was breech, and we tried spinning babies exercises, moxa, acupuncture, and nothing worked. We made the decision to try ECV, for which Dr. Warner referred us to a MFM specialist. On the day of the procedure at 37 weeks and 2 days, things did not go as planned that Dr. let us know we would delivering that day and that Dr. Warner knew and she'd be over as soon as she finished with one other patient. Holy. Crap. Well, Dr. Warner arrived, made sure we understood what was happening, walked me into the OR, soothed my frazzled psyche with some deep breaths and her ultra calm demeanor, and we were on our way. Dr. Warner truly is the best OB in Evanston, at least she is the best one for me. I absolutely adore her and her team!

Despite my constant complaints, she repeatedly documented my pelvic exams as "normal." Another doctor in her office finally discovered the truth--fibroids the size of a five-month pregnancy, which were never mentioned in my records. Her negligence and dishonesty robbed me of the chance to have children. She is an incompetent liar, and I urge other women to seek care elsewhere.

I've been seeing Dr. Lena Kramer for 3 years now and she is absolutely WONDERFUL. I loved her so…read moremuch that I followed her from her previous practice in Munster, IN to her new practice in Skokie, IL at the Illinois Dermatology Institute. With her empathetic, understanding, and informative approach, she has completely changed my skin and hair in the last few years. I am in my early 30's, so an effective skin care is extremely important to me. I went from having hormonal breakouts and acne to completely glowing and clear skin thanks to Dr. Kramer. She carefully took the time to examine my skin and learn about my skin goals, and provided a curated skin care routine that was easy and effective. Most importantly, I experienced extreme hair loss due to stress/ COVID in the Fall of 2020. As one can imagine, losing all your hair at 29 was completely defeating, traumatizing, and scary. Dr. Kramer heard my concerns and emotions, thoroughly and thoughtfully explained the condition (Telogen Effluvium), and created a well thought out routine and care plan for hair growth. With that, she ran all blood tests to cover our bases, suggested supplements where needed, prescribed the most effective medications, and performed PRP injections on my scalp. Within 3 weeks, I was thrilled with the results. As you can see in the attached photos, I had significant hair growth in just 3 weeks :) Dr. Lena Kramer is a rockstar dermatologist- you must see her!

They charge patients a $50 cancellation fee if made less than 24 hours in advance. They denied my request for a $50 discount because they violated their own policy. Why is their time worth more than mine? I cleared my schedule for the appointment and now have to rearrange for the rescheduled appointment.

I wish I could have seen Dr. Levine, but after waiting weeks for my appointment date to arrive, my…read morelate afternoon appointment was cancelled less than 1.5 hours before the appointment time (and I found out because I had called to confirm the appointment time -- hopefully they still would have notified me if I haven't called myself?). I get that everyone -- even doctors -- get sick, but an earlier call (before I left work to get to the appointment) would have been nice. When I tried to reschedule, it was very difficult to find a date that would work -- I would have had to wait another several weeks for an open appointment and apparently they're not open every day of the week. :( The reason I'm giving the second star is because maybe (... maybe?) the fuss is worth it once you actually meet with the doctor. Plus, the receptionist/scheduler was wonderful, and beyond kind, during what I'm sure was a very frustrating situation dealing with rescheduling irritated patients like me.

I had the absolute worst experience at this office. I was referred here by my primary care doctor…read morefor a simple mole removal. Upon my arrival at my scheduled appointment time at 4:00, they had issues with my referral and insurance. I, not they, spent (no lie) 45 minutes on the phone between my doctors office and the insurance company trying to square things away. They kept saying they needed a new referral faxed over because they one they received didn't have the exact location of my mile and they needed all the information to bill my insurance properly. Ok, that's fine.. I understood that. I work in healthcare and understand procedures. They office manager kept repeating that they close at 5:00 and that they wouldn't stay open later. Their biggest concern was getting my insurance billed and not being stuck with a $150 office visit (they repeated this to me multiple times while I was there.) The doctor himself kept coming to the front desk reminding the manager that they closed at 5 and that they needed a referral with specific information because if it didn't have it, he'd have to foot the $150 visit. I was at the point where I was about to reschedule my appointment out of frustration when my doctors office finally sent over a new referral, which looked the same as the other one. It is now 4:55, and the receptionist tells me to head back to the room. Dr Levine came in, asked what medication I was taking, took my temperature and looked me straight in the eye and said he couldn't do anything for my issue because they couldn't verify the referral last minute or my insurance and that he, again, didn't want to get stuck with a $150 office visit if he wasn't able to bill my insurance. I've never had a doctor discuss billing with me during an appointment. He never addressed my dermatological issue nor did he offer to rescheduled since it was now 5:00. Closing time! I got rushed out the door with no answers to my issue and on top of it, a week later I get a bill in the mail for a $150 office visit. A five minute rushed visit where I wasn't even helped or looked at. I called the office and was told very rudely that since I went back and saw the doctor, they charged the visit. I refused to post because of obvious reasons and it's been a constant battle since. Please visit a different dermatologist if you can. This practice only cares how they're gonna get paid, and not about helping the patient. I'm still disputing this with my insurance, and it's quite frustrating.

First time I've been to a doctors office and felt more…read morelike I was at a car dealership to buy a car and the salesman was ready to start upselling the options. They gave the impression they were most interested in how much money they could get out of you. The first form they give you is just a menu of other services they offer that you may be interested in. I was only interested in treating the eczema on my hands which is the purpose of my visit. Once I was in the exam room the doctor looked at me for all of 90 seconds, recommended some hand cream (that they sold in the office. More on that in a min.) They also proposed a shot to help healing and the itch. It was not until after the shot that they asked me to sign that I understand the potential risk of the shot. It should have been on the practice to inform a patient of any potential risk prior to administering anything. Back to the hand cream. At checkout they pull a $60 bottle of hand cream out of the cabinet. When I ask them to put it through to my insurance like the visit they said I can do it myself but it would be pointless because they wouldn't pay for it. I asked them to call in something equivalent to the pharmacy, which they did, because my insurance covers prescriptions. It ended up costing $2.80 It's surprising they didn't have credit card scanners in the exam rooms... you know for the convenience of the patient.
