Fast forward a couple of months and it wasn't getting any better. After playing doctor on the internet, I deduced that it was my sciatica. It wasn't going away on its own, so I knew I needed professional help. A coworker told me about this place and said he even got a groupon for his first visit. So I purchased the groupon and went for my appointment. The groupon included a consultation, exam and massage. Now I know that some people swear by chiropractors and others think they're quacks, but I've never been to one before and I really had no opinion one way or the other. After my appointment, I decided to give the treatments a try. I was desperate for relief. My treatment plan included two months of visits, going three times a week. After that, I was x-rayed to check my progress. Then I was put on a schedule of two more months, going twice a week. Then I was x-rayed again to check my progress. At that time, I had gotten such great results and my pain was completely gone, so I decided to stick with it. I also have a couple of herniated discs and I had been relying heavily on Advil to relieve the ache. My chiropractic care has really helped with my herniated disc discomfort and cut down on my Advil consumption. Overall, I have been very pleased with my care and results. While I'm sure there may be some quacks out there, this place is not one of them!

No calls until 4.30 pm the day before, when I called in. The lady says - yes I have not been able to make my calls yet. When I asked about how much I would owe for my visit tomorrow. She says - I can tell you when you come in tomorrow. I said - I like to avoid surprises before my visit. She mentions - we don't have you insurance info here. She proceeds to tell me - she has 2 other patients in the office. So she is not sure if she can get the payment info for me. This is not a good way to make the first impression. Please follow through on what you committed. 1. The insurance info provided at the appointment booking should be saved. 2. Patients should not have to chase the payment info. You should be able to provide atleast an estimate (we understand this info can change) 3. Finally, why would you make it so shady and not be transparent about how much you would be charging. Customers have a right to transparent charges information. I really was looking forward to this and I hope they improve their new customer experience.

I love the staff and the overall service here. Booking appointments is always seamless, and they provide detailed claims receipts for my FSA, which is especially helpful since it audits every charge. I was referred by my Yelpers friend Mark W. Few years ago, I was desperately looking for a reliable and knowledgeable acupuncturist near me. Most of them in Chinatown don't meet my basic requirements. Mark said, "try my mom." I've gotta tell you, after my first treatment I felt like someone took away a rucksack filled with rocks off of my back. I came back for sciatica pain few weeks later. This time was an acupuncture treatment. Dr. Lu's technique is very skillful. There were 2 types needles, orange one applied to my forehead and others in my belly and legs. I didn't feel any different right after. But I felt energizes after 4 hours of my usual grocery shopping. I normally take an hour nap before repackaging meats away. But that day, I had so much energy I even cooked our dinner, prepared my lunch and washed dishes. People always think Yelp is for restaurants and Yelpers are all foodies. Not so fast. There are so many non-food businesses in town that with mentioning. You may have seen my cupping photos (multiple shades of circles on my back). That is an ancient Chinese method to improve blood circulation. Once air is drawn out of a glass cup, it's applied to my back immediately. Doctor will move the cups like playing mahjong on my back.
