Signs advertising free meals for kids & movies in the park directly in front of the blue building. My family, dog, and I enjoyed this park, only issue was someone's dog was running loose no leash or owner, dog appears to live directly across the street from the park. Dog was not vicious, but I had to holler at it to make sure it stayed away from us and my dog. I notice a lot of loose dogs running about near parks here in Mobile, so this is not the first time I have encountered that at a local park. Just be cautious if you are there with pets or children.

Otherwise, you may have to park in the neighborhood in front of people's homes.

Parking lot is medium sized, signs posted vehicles left more then 48 hours will be towed. This is not a good park for events or birthday parties, there is limited shade, no benches, no tables, no pavilions, no bleachers, restrooms, or concession stands. Other then sports or walking your dog, there is not too much to do.

They have a covered pavillion where you can have a picnic but no BBQ grills. They have trashcans for you and even have unlocked restrooms for you to use. Theres a sink to use to wash off dishes and they even have water fountains. Theres a basketball court also with 2 nets and theres 2 balls for you to use. Im even thinking about playing some street hockey on it one day. Theres plenty of grass to run around and they have benches all around the park to sit on and it offers plenty of natural shade from the huge trees. Overall nice little spot to chill at and soak up some nice weather!

While I do think the admission price is a little expensive, the overall experience made it worth it. The course was clean and well maintained, and I also noticed that parts of it were handicap accessible, which is a nice feature. Overall, I'd recommend Pirate's Cove if you're looking for a fun activity in the area. The price is my only reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5.

I did not get a chance to travel the entire length of the boardwalk because I heard a lot of thunder, the sky was clear, so I left and within ten minutes it rained ( storms are common here, but usually brief, in fact it rains every afternoon in the summer). This area is hidden from street view, looks like a nice place to hang out. Next to the park is a storm drain along a torn chain link fence, a little bit of the woods is there. No restrooms, picnic tables, BBQ's at this park. No parking lot, you need to park on the grass.

I would say a medium sized parking lot. There are mobile homes surrounding this park in both good and bad condition, not too many fences, it is a rural area. I only saw one guy on the walking path, a girl and her boyfriend in a car, then a van full of kids from a local Baptist Church running to the playground. Everyone I encountered was nice and friendly. The grass was a little long, but only because Southwest Alabama has storms everyday for over a week followed by ninety degree heat, but at least this park was not muddy. The restrooms were clean and there were at least three drinking fountains near the concession area. I also saw a bird, I think it was a crane, walking around.

Southern weather is always subject to change in Mobile, keep umbrellas, rain ponchos, and sweaters handy, weather changes from one hour to the next.

Great for kids, Pet Friendly, dogs allowed on leash. Park is about a mile from the other local park, Silverhill Kids Municipal Park. Great place to spend your day.
