Frutta Bowls - Granola(only) Bowl - Acai Bowls Near Me - Allentown, Pennsylvania

The açaí bowl I had was not up to standard. Açaí bowls should have a thick, smoothie like consistency, but mine was super hard and icy. It seemed like the açaí had been pre-frozen in the container the day before, and the toppings were just thrown on top. When you order an açaí bowl, the açaí should be the star of the show and the toppings are just extras. It was a fruit bowl, so of course it was 'good,' but for a place that specializes in juices, smoothies, and açaí, I expected much better. read more

I was planning to enjoy this on my late lunch but after realizing they apparently serve them frozen solid. Can't do that anymore - super frustrating. I've never been to an açaí bowl place that serves them frozen read more

Great service and I had a quality smoothie and a bowl. Both had great flavors and you could see and taste everything was fresh

Wandered in while walking around downtown Allentown. Delicious smoothies and bowls and friendly service! Definitely will be back.

Frutta Bowls is such a tasty and inexpensive treat in downtown Allentown. I read some negative reviews on Yelp, but it seemed those reviews were written shortly after the location opened (which was right before COVID) so I decided to check them out anyway and I am so glad I did. The owners were extremely kind and definitely make you smile. They talked about making a ton of improvements to the spot which all sounded great. The bowl I got was absolutely delicious. This spot has probably become my new favorite if I am ever in downtown Allentown. Highly recommend. read more

Don't waste your time. They offer a pick 2 for $11 special and would not honor it. They worker just said they can't do it even though their menu says choose 2. I requested Nutella instead of the peanut butter on the Frutella bowl and they still put peanut butter on the bowl after I specifically asked for no peanut butter. The strawberries were not fresh. Playa Bowls is far superior and well worth the trip there. read more

I think this place is really dirty but I did not want to be rude and ordered a smoothie. It was good but this place could use a good cleaning. read more

The owner, John, is so accommodating! He obviously vets his employees with a high standard as well, because ALL of his employees are very congenial too. I've become a loyal customer - why? I simply cannot stay away! I will warn you that once you taste their yogurt bowls, you will not be able to eat the grocery store variety anymore. It seemed expensive to me at first, but you really get value for your money. I always share a small bowl with a friend because it is too much for one person to eat in a sitting. Even though I don't work downtown anymore, I find myself going back... clearly it's become an addiction! read more

The small smoothie bowl with toast was delicious, he even gave me a discount on my ginger and elderberry shot. Definitely recommend stopping by and supporting this business read more

AMAZING!!! I can't say enough great things about this location! The bowls and food is so fresh and the quality is amazing! The employees are so kind! They provide great costumer service, and not to mention the appearance of the food looks spectacular! It's a great healthy alternative! I highly recommend!!!!! read more

I loved this place when Sam was the owner and had good management and staff. After being closed with no notice for months, they finally open back up but are skimping on the food which would've never happened before. The prices stayed the same but you barely get any smoothie, just toppings. The smoothie portion is thin and soupy. Their menu is not on the board, no music is playing, you don't get greeted when you walked in, but you're told to leave a review when you leave. Won't be spending my money here until it's fixed despite being a weekly customer under prior owner. read more

Used to love this place when Sam owned it, even more than Playa Bowls. When it shut down there was no notice of when it would reopen. New owner is super nice but that doesn't make up for the SLOWEST service I've ever experienced. Took them almost 20 minutes to make my acai bowl and there was only 1 person ahead of me, not to mention the bowls come frozen so it's all ice. They put barely any acai in it not that the acai is any good, and fill it with toppings. This place has honestly gone to shit. read more

We really enjoyed our experience at Frutta Bowl. The woman helping us was so very accommodating and sweet. I ordered the unsweetened Açai bowl. I have never been to a place where you can custom make the purée! I got the gluten free granola and topped it with strawberries, blueberries, mangos, and cacao nips. I got peanut butter on the side because sometimes it can overpower the bowl. It was a good choice! My husband and I shared the bowl in a park near by and we thoroughly enjoy it. Very happy with our experience at this establishment! read more

Fast, friendly service and tasty, healthy food options - what more could you want. I got a fruttela bowl with blueberries and had to make myself wait to enjoy it because I could've scarfed down the whole thing! The fruit is fresh and the flavors are phenomenal. I'll be back! We bought the PB&J bowl, Go figure toast, and Go bananas toast. They were all really tasty. I would go back here again to try other items. My only con to this place is that it is a little pricey. Otherwise, I would recommend it. read more

If you're looking for a natural, filling, flavorful fix... this is the place for you! I ordered the Pina Colada bowl today and I am pleasantly surprised! The listed hours for this place says open by 9am on a Friday.. I tried to order off their app, the app is broken and you can't change the date you want to pick it up which auto sets to about a week ahead. I walk all the way there for them to be closed at 9:30.. I decide to GO BACK at about 10:30am and they are still closed. The place just opens when it feels like and not when it doesn't? Can't imagine they will be in business long, fix your hours of operation listed online.. read more

Drove all the way there just to pick up a food item I ordered online just to find out this location is closed. if this location is closed then their website should be updated to keep customers informed and the ordering function just be disabled so that customers don't waste time ordering, paying for and then driving all the way to a location that is closed!!! My credit card was charged and I expect a full refund immediately!! I don't know what type of business these people are running that their website isn't properly updated and they take people's money for food that isn't even available. This is my first and last time ordering from this poorly run place. i'll stick to Playa Bowl since they seem to be better organized and display more care and concern for their customers. read more
