Quick, good customer service, clean, and the food was excellent and I will definitely keep coming back

It was my first time coming to this playa bowls as I usually go to the third st one but my boyfriend and I were in the area and the bowls were discounted this day and they said they made sure we got Nutella and peanut butter instead of coconut flakes on both bowls but then gave us one with coconut flakes and when I asked them to please fix it the girl rolled her eyes and another told her, "just put peanut butter on it." And handed it back when I was gonna tell her he doesn't like coconut she walked away before I could, now what if my boyfriend was allergic? But the next time we went about a week later, they got my bowl right but the workers kept staring at me and my boyfriend and kept pointing and laughing, it made me so uncomfortable that I told my boyfriend I just wanted to sit in the car. I have never experienced something so uncomfortable and disrespectful like that in the other playa bowls I would go to, more so I never experienced anything like that period. I think I'm just gonna stick with the other playa bowls from now on but just letting people know that the employees are so disrespectful and rude. read more

Despite originating at Jersey shore it gives me that Cali hipster vibe with the decorations, color scheme, menu items, and even OCEAN SMELL upon walking in. Friendly staff. Food looks great. The only thing I felt with the salmon avocado bowl was a little heavy on the spicy Mayo (next time would ask for a little less or maybe on the side) and would've preferred a larger protein portion (would recommend a second protein). While I do thoroughly enjoy what Playa Bowls has to offer, my experience is that the service specifically at the Center Valley, PA location has been terrible. It is frustrating when: 1. Pay for add ins and don't receive them 2. Mention that you didn't receive the add ins from your last visit and asked if they could make sure to include it on this current visit, paying for it again of course, and still didn't receive it. 3. Watch the staff laugh as they recognized that they didn't add it in on the current visit and didn't remake the bowl to add it in 4. Express to management that the only thing you want them to do is do better. If a customer comes in a business like Playa Bowls and Orders accordingly, the least they can expect is to receive what they ordered. No one likes to pay for something and not receive what they ordered. If I'm paying for a Harley, don't give me a Huffy and then laugh as if it's ok. read more

I think the Acai is ok. It's not sour or too sweet but I feel like it's sugar free almost? I don't know what the taste is but it takes away from the acai puree. I don't think I would pay almost $15 for a bowl. read more

Bowls are great. Staff not so much. I don't even think there is as much as a non-highschooler in the building. All they do is talk while delaying making the orders. Smoothie was watery, bowl was okay. Just need someone in the building making sure the kiddos are working. read more

I was next door at the phone repair store and had a few hours to kill while my precious phone was being repaired. It was early so a lot the restaurants were closed and I was hungry. Since Playa Bowl was rite there I walked and and I was delighted with the beachy feel of the place but when I looked at the menue I was sooo disappointed because I had just realized this was a vegetarian joint. I wanted meat! I was so mad but I was more hungry than mad so I stayed and ordered some kind of bowl of fruit and who knows what else was in there. I figured I'd eat this as a snack to hold me over until the "real" restaurants open. I took it outside, sat at a table and braced myself for the first bite.............wow! What is this? It was actually really good!!! I thoroughly enjoyed it. And the best part was that it actually filled me up and kept me full for a good amount of time. We showed up here at 8:25 pm tonight and told by two of the people working that they were closed. Very strange since it says on- line open until 9pm. My daughter said the same thing happened when she went a week ago. Went another time and food was good, but very slow! Came here with a girlfriend for a breakfast and catch up date. The place was empty at 10am on a Tuesday (pre-pandemic). We had quick, friendly service and enjoyed our playa bowls. The price is a little steep but I do enjoy this as a treat every now and then! read more

Playa Bowls is a place that you must check out! They have options for everyone and can custom make any order. I like to mix and match bowls for new and exciting flavors. They do tend to take a while to make, because each order is made from scratch and to order. Avoid the delay and order ahead if you can. As with many restaurants, there were some issues opening the new location but as like the other Playa Bowl locations, they will improve shortly after opening. Staff was VERY unfriendly to the point of rude. No one smiles at all. Music is so loud cant talk to anyone.
