BEWARE OF THIS SERVICE!!! We have been using this service for approx 1.5 years. The owners are very unprofessional and have screamed and sent me nasty emails because we forgot to let them know we needed our nanny to stay later than normal - not different days but 30 min to 2 hours later which she agreed to. They also are completely disorganized and cant keep my schedule straight even though we repeatedly told them. After stating to them they overcharged us several times because they also cant seem to figure out bookkeeping and we wanted a refund they refused. Then when I mentioned I would not spend time texting or calling them because they have accountability to figure out what their employees are doing and their hours. We never changed our schedule other than asking her to stay later than expected and she agreed. After stating this they terminated our relationship as of today and they left myself and husband without care or support for our children. BEWARE - they also have not sent a nanny on Thurs the entire year leaving my husband and I to handle on our own with no notice and communication. THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE EVER - the positive reviews are from them and their own friends. read more

I personally think they're providing their own ratings & reviews using aliases, friends & family , and a Bad Review Rating Removal system. I agree with one of the REAL REVIEWS of the lady who said they are unprofessional. I think they BOTH are in need of some " Business Courses " , especially the guy in payroll, shouting belligerent unprofessional announcements in your email of reprimands , not only is it not said in a " business tone," but It's tacky and unprofessional way to respond to your concerns . You dont give rude " Shout Outs " over email, ...you have a " Respectful Employee Meeting " and this unprofessionalism has to leak over into customer service at some point. I have use 1st choice nanny on several occasions as "back up care" when my usual child care has not been available. I have been very please with the service. Yasmin is exceptional in that she took the time to get to know my kids and pair us with nannies that can really connect with them and have been attentive and helpful. She is everything you would want a nanny service provider to be: RELIABLE, COMPASSIONATE, RESPONSIVE. Angelica from 1st Choice Nanny Service was a lifesaver! Our son had a low-grade fever and couldn't go to day care. My wife and I had a ton of commitments at work and didn't want to get stuck at home for the day. Luckily the backup care service at my wife's work connected us with Angelica. She came right on time and from the first minute it was clear that she was extremely responsible, attentive, and caring. She immediately hit it off with our 16 month old and gave us updates throughout the day about how everything was going. He was happy as a clam at the end of the day. We had such a great experience with 1st choice nanny service. First, they were able to accommodate us incredibly quickly, on short notice and for a tall order. (We realized at 4pm that we'd need someone to arrive by 7:30am the next day, and to stay 11 hours! I'm still shocked we got the help we needed!) Second, Yasmin the COO/Founder was incredibly responsive to our communications after receiving care. Third, our "backup nanny" Carmen was absolutely wonderful. Our 1.5 year old son Austin was home sick for 3 days with his grandmother and had been in a terrible mood for those 3 days. Although initially timid with Carmen, Austin warmed up quickly to her and spent the day reading books, playing, eating and taking two easy naps. While we were working from home (hiding away where Austin couldn't see us), my husband and I remarked at how well Carmen interacted with Austin. She engaged and entertained him thoroughly with lots of attention and love and storytelling and questions. She was incredibly loving and gentle while putting him down for naps, and she anticipated when he would wake up so she could pick him up immediately and keep him from crying. We could not believe it, but he didn't cry a single time all day (he usually misses us, and has been especially needy while sick). Carmen has great intuition with kids and was very professional and thoughtful. I'd thoroughly recommend her through 1st choice again and hope we have the opportunity to work with her (in the unfortunate situation that we need backup care). Thank you, Carmen! The day before, I try to reach out to confirm as I have not heard from the sitter. No one picks up. I leave a message and no one calls back. On the day of the backup care, no one shows up.
