Our baby was about 5 months old when we started his care there, and I believe that Galina's concern and care were integral in his development (and ours as parents) over his first 2 years. She helped us establish a naptime routine such that when he was home, he went down without a fuss. Which also transferred to bedtimes being painless. She would let us know if something seemed wrong (a cough, runny nose, irregular BMs, etc.) and give us tips for what to do at home. As new parents, we were grateful for her advice and consideration, but she was never judgemental. While Galina's pricing seems high, she delivers with enrichment: everything from birthday parties, art projects, celebrating holidays (the Mother's Day projects were SO CUTE this year), and dance parties. She and her mom bake all kinds of treats for us to take home throughout the year, and always makes sure all the kids are at the house for big holidays. My kid has had a great first two years of making friends and exploring his world. It also is a small group of kids so they all get really close. I have connected with some of the parents and hope we can keep their friendships alive over the coming years. As an only child, our kid really benefitted from being around kids of varying ages for him to play with. The big kids taught by example and I think having the little infants around have helped him be gentle. Galina also does potty training. Once my kid was interested--mainly from other kids at the daycare being potty trained--, we bought a potty at home and he already was going #1 consistently at 21 months. 10/10 I highly recommend Galina's Daycare!

She develops a connection with each child and makes their wellbeing and happiness a priority. My daughter was always so excited to go there, making the transition really easy when we had to start daycare. My daughter was also introduced to so many healthy foods that we would have never thought of in our household. I was always so surprised when my daughter would come home with a new skill, such as knowing how to blow her nose (so helpful!). Highly recommend Galina, we miss her so much!

Our daughter adored her, and it was clear that Julie genuinely loved and cared for her as well. One thing we appreciated most was how communicative she was--she always kept us updated, which gave us so much peace of mind. As first-time parents trusting someone else with our child, that meant everything to us. Even now that we've moved on, our daughter still asks for Julie, which speaks volumes about the bond they built. We are incredibly grateful for the two years she spent caring for our daughter. It was our first experience having someone look after our child, and it couldn't have been better. Julie is simply the best, and we wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving, and attentive caregiver.

I don't trust very many people implicitly with my daughter's care but Julie is one of them. I'd keep my daughter here forever if I could and I will because she also does Saturdays a few days a month which is a LIFESAVER for me! If you're looking for someone you can trust that your kids will love go to Julie's - honesty could not recommend her more!!

My son wasn't quite ready for Kindergarten...generally slow to warm up in new situations and large group settings. Was I stressed about this? Yes! And the owner, Ms. Leah, helped me navigate my feelings and supported me in my decision making - which was easy once I met the director Mr. Charlie (a Kid Time alum) and saw Ms. Stephanie's class in action. The K/TK program was a perfect fit with a smaller classes and individualized learning. Also, since there are older children that are picked up for their aftercare program, I've noticed my son has become much more comfortable around bigger/older kids and is quick to make new friends in new settings. Our son also attends their summer camp program. At drop off/pick up, kids are running around and truly filled with joy. It's a wonderful learning environment and super kid (and parent, ha!) friendly. Mr. Charlie and Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Cerina are always in sync working as a team, juggling all the things, making fun happen and comforting a booboo or tearful drop off. This place is magic! Our son attended KidTime and we are so happy we found this school! I have chatted with so many…read moreparents and left so many rave reviews for the school online when parents shared they are looking for a preschool or a better fit for their child. We left a previous school and were looking for an environment where our son could thrive, and after touring with the director, Sydney, we knew we had found just the right fit. Our old preschool, a Montessori-style school, didn't do any TK curriculum, so we were worried he wouldn't be as prepared for Kindergarten. Our son missed the cutoff for public TK, so we knew we needed to find a better fit for him. Plus, our previous school wasn't accommodating for our active little dude. KidTime wasn't concerned at all when I mentioned our son wouldn't sit for circle time or stay focused during 'work time'. Instead of concern, we were met with open arms! The school meets the children where they're at! There's no need to hide any problems your child may be having. The school will not only work with you, but they will take the time and care to help your child and your family with any issues. There are no expectations for a child to meet a cookie-cutter mold. Your child will be embraced! The school is very inclusive! I was told, he sounds perfectly at his age level. This is truly refreshing to hear when you're leaving a school that isn't welcoming. The school has a massive backyard with a garden, chickens, and the biggest sandbox you've ever seen, with a water play area as well. There's plenty of shade and trees as well. The school will also apply sunscreen (they supply it, or you are welcome to bring your own). The school prepares fresh meals for the children, which after sending our son to school that didn't; this is such an amazing aspect! It saved our family so much time and hassle. Our son is a great eater, but for children who arent; it's so helpful to have the children all eating the same meal together. A lot of parents have said this helped their picky eaters embrace new foods. Plus, there's onsite water fountains, so we didn't even need to bring a water bottle. Again, you really appreciate this when you realize you don't need to wash a water bottle daily. The staff are so kind and warm! They do really fun activities with the children. Each week they cover a new theme and do activities related to the theme including STEM, art, math, etc. Our son learned about the earth's rotation and how time worked, learned his phonics, etc. Their teaching style is all play-based; at first, I didn't really know what that meant. I thought it was just open play, but it's not. They play a lot of games and do a lot of hands on learning, so they learn through play. It's truly wonderful! They also have a lot of community events, like a Thanksgiving meal where the children prepare all of the dishes, and families are welcome to come and eat together. Plus, they host Trick or Treating, a very lively Cinco de Mayo party, a family camping trip, and many more! Families are also welcome to come at pick up and play with their kids in the backyard! This is so different from a lot of other schools. This is so fun because you can see your child at play! You can join in and meet other families. We're happy our baby will go here as well, and this time for the full experience, as our son joined only joined for one year. They even welcome back alumni for their fun Cinco de Mayo party! Only downside, that they will openly tell you during your tour, children are allowed to be children...meaning they are allowed to get very messy! When I first toured with my baby, I didn't think this would be a good fit for him because he didn't like to be messy; but when he joined later, it wasn't a problem. Some kids do get wildly messy, but our child never did. Just know, that they use all washable materials, so any stain, I was easily able to get out. However, it's very possible, your child might be covered head to toe blue when you go to pick them up! I've seen a mini Smurf there at pickup!

Pros: - I love how organized the school is. They use the ProCare app which was amazing. Check in/out was efficient, I was notified of SO much during the day. Several photos and updates (down to when her diaper was changed and how long her naps were). We were very spoiled. - Our daughter is a terrible eater, but Mrs. Shrada introduced her to new foods and if she wouldn't eat what others were eating she'd find a way to sneak in something she'd like to get food in her belly. - Super responsive and available via text or email - Payment was easy and tuition was fair. - Very safe. I love how in the ProCare app you can upload pictures of people authorized to pick up my daughter and also pictures of those not allowed to pick up. - Mrs. Shrada had so much love for my daughter. Treated her as her very own. Cons: - My daughter would sometimes get sent home with a cough. I completely understand her wanting to keep others healthy. Just tricky at times when working full time. I HIGHLY recommend LSCD. We'll most likely send baby #2 here.

Of all our experiences so far, Shrada's home daycare has been the best experience for our family. Our son previously got kicked out of a nanny share for being too difficult and having difficulty sleeping. We were concerned that he would also be too much for Shrada to handle (especially with 4-6 other kids), but she assured us that she could handle him and that the transition would be smooth. From day one he was napping and within a week he was excited to go back. He's now been attending for over a year and is excited every day to go back. Shrada's daycare is like a second home for him. With Little Sunflower Child Daycare you get the atmosphere of a small family daycare, but with all the benefits of a larger business due to their full use of the ProCare app. I don't know how she manages it, but we receive dozens of updates daily (meals, nap times, diaper changes, activities, photos, videos, etc.). Shrada's communication and responsiveness are unparalleled. It's so comforting and reassuring to always know exactly what our son is doing throughout the day and to know he's in good hands. On top of that she's always smiling and cheerful and consistently engages the children in educational activities. She also prepares healthy, delicious meals that all the kids enjoy. I highly recommend Little Sunflower Child Daycare for anyone who is looking for quality child care.
