However, like with all of the wines here, the cab sauv was very light and sweeter than I anticipated. With that said, I wasn't a fan of any of the wines, which is too bad since the concept seems nice. Great Wine is located on the retail level of the Elements Apartments in downtown Bellevue. The space is beautiful, as it can accommodate private events and parties with its huge communal table. It also has floor-to-ceiling windows, which gets wonderful natural light and makes the space feel more open and large. Yet unfortunately, I just didn't prefer any of the wines here.

I have been a Drum Roll fan for YEARS now and was so excited to watch their tasting room come to life. My first encounter with them was at the Issaquah Wine Walk like 6-8 years ago (it's hard to pinpoint) and Matt, one of the co-owners, was so personable and nice. The added bonus was that the wine was delicious. So when I discovered they were opening a tasting room in Renton, I was so ecstatic. They've been open for a year or two now and they are flourishing! The space is creatively curated and speaks to the owners and their family so well. It's kid-friendly and pup-friendly which makes this really a very welcoming spot in the downtown area. They don't carry food, but they do have snacks. But more importantly, they have delicious wine (duh). Over the years, my favorite has stayed constant - their white blend! They've never made a wine I haven't liked, but their white blend is a guaranteed classic that I can crack open for myself, or at family dinners, and know it's going to be a hit. My friend got the red flight and I went for their mix flight. But I noticed they have raised their price from $10 (Mix flight) and $15 (Red flight) by $5 to $15 and $20 respectively now. Also, a little -0.5 star because for some reasons, all our drinks have sediments/cork particles in our red wines (see picture). It's not in a particular red wine, but pretty much all glasses of red wine...... that kinda ruined the experience a little when the cork crumbles get in your mouth. The service is pretty great on this slow day since we were the only table here. They brought us water and refilled it for us timely as well without having us to flag them down for it. All in all, still was a pleasant experience with a little bummer with the cork crumbles in our wines.
