First, the person working the counter, who I believe is the new owner could not be any friendlier…read more He did try to go out of his way to serve and accommodate us, but the issue was with the final product and not his kind demeanor. This place had advertised they had a "world famous" espresso shake. Looking at my Yelp accomplishments, it said something like I rated almost 90 coffee experiences, we love coffee and enjoy going around our travels either locally or outside our area to try new brews. So we had to try this world famous drink. First, it was very pricy, almost $9 for an average size shake, which is way more expensive than a Starbucks when I add extra shots of espresso and different syrups. It is also pricier than our current go-to ice cream and shake spot which offers a bigger product for more than half that price. The man working the counter knew we liked bold coffee and said he could adjust it if we were not satisfied with it. So he got the shake, and it tasted like a bland vanilla shake with a tiny hint of coffee, so my husband said it was not bold enough. They said they would fix it, and then we got a melted, watery vanilla milk with very weak coffee, it tasted like vanilla milk with a tad of coffee. There was no more milk shake, just melted ice cream, so they put more coffee in but did not put anything to thicken it. Feeling bad, my husband did not want to ask them to fix it again and he was very sad that we did not get the bold espresso shake he craved. He also did not think they had an espresso machine in there, but not sure. They also did not have no sugar added products, so we need to return to our other local ice cream joint for a shake next time.

Delicious ice cream! Great service and clean establishment. Got our order fast and easy.read more

Found this place by accident just driving by. I tried the Bacon Jam Burger with some regular fries…read more The burger was very good; the bacon jam gives a nice smoky flavor and the spicy pickles added a nice touch. Very much like a traditional smashburger; a little greasy, but mine was not overly greasy. Burgers are served wrapped in wax paper and that coupled with the decor gives a very old-school diner vibe. The fries were cooked perfectly. Golden & crispy on the outside, soft and steamy on the inside. I ordered the regular fries (not the seasoned fries), but they were still a tad bit on the salty side. The staff was young, but they knew what they were doing. The grill man served up a tasty burger and the young lady working the register & delivering food provided service with a smile and answered all my questions as a first time customer. My only knock on this spot is that the lobby/dining room area needs a thorough deep cleaning. The table tops were sticky, the seats had a lot of crumbs and food on them, and the floor could use a mopping. Ketchup & mustard bottles were sticky as well. On the plus side, the kitchen area looked clean and tidy (you can see right into it from where you sit). But the tables and chairs definitely need some TLC.

Quite possibly the BEST chicken sandwich I have EVER had! Each chicken breast is hand battered when…read moreyou order & the crispy crunchy coating g is light and delicious. The buns are toasted just right so they are a wee bit crispy themselves. Chicken is juicy and tender. I ordered the plain white h comes with lettuce & tangy mayo but I also added Nashville hot spicy bacon as I did t wanna go the full way with the "everything" sandwich. Maybe next time. Everything here is made to order, including shoes, hand dipped onion rings, etc. will definitely be back Soon!

Definitely make a reservation because this is a popular spot! They decorated it really nice and…read moreclassy for the holidays, and the ambiance was lively. Service was fantastic - our waiter was personable and helpful, all of our food/drinks were served quickly and water glasses were never empty. For cocktails, I started with the Monte Carlo, which I enjoyed but was also impressed by their non-alcoholic menu. For an appetizer, we split the focaccia which was outstanding - 10/10 would do again. On a recommendation, I decided to go with the mushroom pasta for my main and it was good but not extraordinary and the added chicken was a little dry. My dining mate had the short rib and said it was delicious. We were too full so we skipped dessert but they had some interesting options, including after dinner drinks. Next time!

This was my 3rd attempt dining at The Fed. The first time was so good we bragged about the…read morerestaurant to anybody who would listen. The 2nd time was awful, they had a big party downstairs and basically had to apologize for ignoring the rest of the tables. I literally took forever to get food and service due to a large part downstairs but apparently it backed up the kitchen. Well, I had an AWFUL birthday dinner here last night. The server was awful, the food was awful, the experience was so sub par. Not a single person at our table enjoyed their experience. Starting off with a party of 5 being sat at a small round table for 4. The staff brought a bread basket and didn't even know where to put it...we had no room at all on the table squished in with 5 plates and glasses. We ordered the charcuterie board and it was so pathetic. 2 pieces of salami and what looked like olive loaf. After asking the server finally explained what everything was as when we asked for another piece or 2 of salami (because it truly was the only edible looking meat) he said he would have to charge us. We ran out of bread quickly and asked for another few pieces since we had a kid with us and service was taking forever. The waiter said sorry I'll have to charge you for that. Other than the French onion soup, I'm not sure anybody enjoyed their main dish. An Asian ham special that was cloyingly sweet, a pasta dish that wasn't great... We get a dessert menu and I'm so excited for a post dinner coffee! I order a salted caramel latte from the desert menu and am told they don't do lattes or cappuccinos at night? The machines are off. All we can do is a shot of espresso. Then why is it coffee on the dessert menu??? At this point we were over it. We left with no dessert on my birthday and went to Kroger and got a small cake. Do yourself a favor and go down a few doors down to Rudy's Prime for a good meal...
