Great hot fudge sunday! My husband ordered the hot fudge which I turned out to be jealous of because I ordered the black cherry flavor burst which sadly, had only one flavor and that was just plain vanilla. I wouldn't order the flavor burst again. Besides that it has nice indoor seating and it's very clean. I'm probably pretty biased when it comes to giving Eva's five stars. I grew up around the corner begging my father when I was little to walk with me there. I remember when I was in Middle School and Eva's used to serve food I would bike up with friends for lunch and a cool dessert. I had friends that had their "scooping arm" muscles so large their other arms looked small in comparison. Summer in Lake Orion? You go to Eva's. Favorites: -Fresh made drumsticks -Any cyclone, but especially the rice crispie treat (weird, but try it!) and tropical -When I was younger I tried all the flavor blasts in one month When there's a line: -after sports games -during the fair and fireworks -after any school event -when it's hot -anytime after 7pm I also must mention if you get a gumball from the machine and it's wrapped in foil, you get a free cone! What can you say about ice cream really? We all love it but it really takes something special to set you apart. Special flavors or toppings you can't find anywhere... You know something that makes you scream with ultimate food joy! Sorry to the nostalgic folks who grew up going here. I'm not overly impressed with Eva's. There menu is typical ice cream stand stuff. Scoops, soft serve, sundaes, flurries/cyclones, parfaits. FroYo and the like. They claim to make home made/fresh made hard scoop ice cream. We tried the butter pecan. Meh. It wasn't buttery, the pecans were ok. They didn't taste toasted or candied or anything really special. No salty sweet delight. My husband was less than thrilled with the long string of hair that was mixed into his scoop. Upon returning it to the management he was given a new scoop - nothing more. There was barely an apology. It was handled but there no warm fuzzies. No "I'm terribly sorry we weren't wearing hats or hairnets to protect your food" No, "we are embarrassed that you experienced that at our establishment" There was no coupon for your next cone free since your first experience was lackluster and we really want you to like us and come back again. Nothing. Soooo.... The turtle parfait my son had was more of the same. Regular soft serve, bland pecans, normal hot fudge and Carmel sauce and standard canned whipped cream. Meh. We made the switch from Frosty Boy when we first tried Eva's. They are very friendly and the ice cream is great. My husband and I are obsessed with the rice crispy cyclone, it is amazing! Last time we were there, a little boy dropped his cone on the ground and they replaced it free, which I thought was really nice. I still remember being little and going to Baskin Robins and the owner telling my dad that of I dropped my cone, we'd have to buy a new one! read more

the ice cream is amazing, I'll give them that. But the staff is downright rude, mainly the teenagers working there. A younger girl, kaitlyn I believe, was rolling her eyes as well as acting like it was an inconvenience for her to help us. We went inside asking for her to hand us the ice-cream inside instead of outside and she walked over rolling her eyes with the straightest + rudest face I've seen in a very long time. Growing up I loved going to Eva's. Now, every time I go I am faced with a rude girl working there, I think her name is Grace. I can't get over how horrible her customer service is. I go to Eva's to enjoy ice cream with my family and friends, not to receive dirty looks and attitude from this girl and all of her young coworkers. They will talk about you right in front of your face. It's sad to see this happening when Eva's used to be such an inviting environment. I wish I could just go and enjoy my ice cream, but instead I am always put in a bad mood by this girl and her coworkers. read more

This is a great local dairy joint. They offer a variety of soft serve options, from classic cones to flurries (cyclones) to sundaes. They also have around 8-10 varieties of hard ice cream if that's your thing. The service is incredibly fast as well, always a plus! read more

This place this disgraceful and completely overpriced for the amount of soft serve ice cream they Dole out as if they were rolling out 14 karat gold. it's the only ice cream shop in Lake Orion owned by some cheap old woman who hovers over her staff so to never make a decent size ice cream cone. I have been going to the place since I was 5 years old so that makes it approximately 40 year old store and it just gets worse every year. In my opinion she should write everyone in the community and I'm sorry note for stealing all their money In cheap half made ice cream cones when you can go to McDonald's and get an ice cream cone for twice the size for a dollar fifty. Surprised they didn't have this business listed. It's only the best place to get ice cream for miles. They are open half the year and it is great on a hot summer night. I love coming here for ice cream! The people who run it are nice and have fast service unlike other places that take 5 years to prepare one cookie dough ice cream or a fruit slushie. Very convenient location off M24 if you wanna do a touch and go. My daughter and I wanted to try a new ice cream place. Looked near the area and saw this place had 4*'s, so we decided to give it a try. I ordered a double scoop of the hard ice cream: Raspberry and Butter Pecan... Neither were very flavorful and both were sticky/gooey, (like when it sits too long in the freezer) and pulled like there was gum mixed in, the raspberry was grey-ish in color and the butter pecan had about 5 pecan pieces... My daughter tried the brownie cyclone. Assuming they used vanilla soft serve, the ice cream tasted standard but the brownies, again, were very sticky and extremely chewy. We ended up throwing $7.30 down the drain. Couldn't stomach it enough to not waste it. Won't be returning. Also a heads up, cash only establishment if you're gonna give it a shot... read more

First off, this place has amazing ice cream. I knocked two stars off of my review because of the prices. It's way too expensive for what it is! Just for 3 medium soft-served ice creams the total was $8.05. Don't get me wrong, I love this place. On a warm evening you'll always see the parking lot full with a line of customers waiting to order a cool refreshing treat from their restaurant. When I first moved here, this place was packed full of people! It was a great place to get an ice cream treat. The last two years have been pretty bad. The last time I came here, the treat that I have ordered in the past did not have the usual "flavoring" on it. It was also much smaller then in the past. They also let dogs run around unleashed! One dog jumped up on a little girl and her ice cream cone fell to the ground. They would not tell the dog owner to put the dog on a leash nor would they replace the ice cream cone for the little girl. After that, I decieded not to come here any more.
