Burgers, dogs, shrimp, sandwiches fries , onion rings, ice cream all worth breaking your diet for. I have been told by lots of my new neighbors have to eat here. So Just too hot to cook today and felt like I deserved a special treat today. So what better than cheese burger with onion rings and chocolate shake, well I am happy to report, everyone was right, sorry it took me a while to try. the burger was a large hand formed patty cooked perfectly, nice and juicy just right did not have to say "where's the beef". I choose to eat in but they also have car hop service. you could stay in car, love that no drive through. I have eaten frostee freeze over 100 times, maybe more. It was My first job as a car hop at 14 years old also. The food here is delicious and makes you want to keep coming back for more. Their custard ice cream is like none I've tasted before. Add some wet walnuts and woohoo! Pizza burgers are one of my favorite things to eat! Very unique! The dip dogs are rolled in homemade batter deep fried crispy and delicious! Cheese munchies are a must!! The inside dining area reminds me of a 50's diner. The bathroom is kinda small but clean! Definitely check out the frostee if you get the chance. My hubby and I will drive back to Tazewell just for a burger and it's almost an hour drive just to get there. read more

I also got ice cream and it was pretty good too + they fill it up as high as they can in the cone (you get less in the cup). They were pretty busy when I walked in around 4:00 (Wednesday). My earliest memories of this restaurant were forged with my father while traveling to and from Knoxville on shopping trips. Forty years later not much on the menu has changed and I mean that in a good way! Back then we would usually enjoy a a lunch of chili dogs or chili buns, crinkle fries, and the obligatory root beer. On this visit we sampled burgers, fries, and onion rings. My wife and I shared a Pizza Burger and Cheeseburger with all the fixings and opted for the quarter pound size of each. The pizza version missed the mark for us in that the sauce overwhelmed the other ingredients and made it nothing more than palatable. The Cheeseburger on the other hand was excellent with the mustard adding the contrasting sour hint the Pizza Burger was lacking. The beef seemed good quality and for us the upgrade to 1/4 pound size gave the right ratio of meat to bun. The fries were decent if not quite as good as I remember. For me fries need to be crispy (which these were) and salted as soon as they are removed from the fryer so the salt adheres to them (these were lacking in salt). Onion rings were also pretty good, not amazing but not bad. Would order the Cheeseburger again but looking forward to chili buns next time around! Can't wait!! read more

Frostee is very good for a drive in restaurant. They have really good burgers and milk shakes. Everything I've had there has been good, and the girls that come out always seem so nice. The only thing is that they need a outdoor menu posted on the side of the building..it's a drive in, and inless You come there often, you will not know what they have, and have to go inside and read the menu. I would've gave it 4 stars if they would have had a outdoor menu. Overall, I would recommend it. It's a good, fast place to get some good food. read more
