Ive been told by people this place is "The best in town". I got a sandwich cookie and a sassy shortcake with a side of bacon. I didn't think either were that great. The shortcake was a biscuit that was kind of dry with strawberry jam on top. The filling of the cookie tasted like butter, wasn't sweet, cookie didn't taste fresh, I ended up just throwing it away. They need to invest in some better seats they were not comfortable and they are not friendly to people who have a big butt. read more

We ordered the baby bull breakfast and it was definitely enough for one person. If I ordered the bigger one I would not have been able to finish it. My husband had the same thing. It was definitely delicious cause we ate almost everything. It was a little spicy for people that don't like hot. The staff was very helpful after we explained this was our first time and showed us the ropes and what we needed to do which was very cool and different. I absolutely love the mugs. Oh my!! This place is amazing!! A must drive to this jewel nestled in the sweet, unique town of Rogersville, TN. I had the Sassy Shortcake (grilled biscuit topped with in house fruit compote and whipped cream) I chose the strawberry ( bourbon peach and cinnamon apples were the other choices) I also added a side of the hammered chicken. Not only were there a number of whimsical quips, but the food was beyond delicious, servings were huge and the coffee better than any coffee shop. This is our favorite place that we have eaten at in our two plus years in Tennessee. It is definitely our "go to" place. The food is awesome and the owner is very personable. Just yesterday we took some visiting Ohioian family there. They were equally enamored with this great little spot. I can't remember the names of the various offerings but I had the BLT which was made with some thick, highly flavored yet tender bacon and Duke's mayo, Grainger tomato and onions. It was delicious. The ranch tots are killer good. I have never been super enamored with tots but these, I couldn't leave alone. Our guests had something with chicken "tenders" and they were raving about how moist and flavorful the chicken was, to the point of trying to figure out how they were prepared for possibly trying to emulate the taste at home. If you're passing through you must stop here for breakfast or lunch. They are absolutely friendly! We were welcomed very warmly. We felt like we were with family. We ordered our breakfast and the air was filled with wonderful breakfast smells just like home. I could smell my waffles cooking and it made me all the more anxious to try them. My husband had the little bull breakfast and I had the waffles with strawberries. They are huge portions. The eggs are cooked the way you like them, bacon was crisp. The hash browns was had a distinct flavor that was unique and very tasty. The waffles were delicious by themselves. I had the strawberry compote over my waffles and it needed no syrup. Delicious! While we were eating the line to order formed out the door but moved very quickly. You just have to plan your trip so you can stop here. Especially if you're a foodie! read more

My husband and I stopped by for brunch on the way out of town & the food here is impeccable. The front dining area was crowded from the line out the door but while seated we never felt cramped. I have an allergy to dairy and the kitchen was extra careful to prevent cross contamination. She began by asking us if we'd been there before. Since it was our first time, she kindly explained their menu & procedure and willing to answer any questions we had. We proceeded to the dining area; cute quaint & southern, very inviting & comfortable. Before our food came out, my husband had told the owner that we were out of state. Not only did she recommend places for us to visit but she went above & beyond to come take the time and talk with us at our table, helping us with our planned route & map, all voluntarily! What a sweetheart!! We're still talking about the food today (days later).... and that savory southern gravy....let me tell y'all, if you're from out of state and unfamiliar with biscuits & gravy, the kind owner will indeed convert you!! She brought a sample to us and we ate it all up....with a spoon!! Our only regrets are that we didn't get that sweet owner's name!! We LOVE her & we LOVE Bull Babies!
