Sometimes, one gets lucky with great staff, making the entire startup experience a great one. It started when i signed up with Treases Bryant at the Brandon Mall store. She got me an earlier install date and put thru my request for a Frontier certified technician (not a 3rd party subcontracted installer). Pedro came out today to install at my Brandon property, which never had wifi before. He made as few holes as possible for the hookup, addressed my Wi-Fi coverage concerns. If there was a Zero star, Frontier would have it! I am throughly frustrated right now. A couple weeks ago, I called in to renew with their promotion. The rep didn't say I would need to have a tech out to install a new box for the internet upgrade. I found that out after the internet went down. Today, I got in after a few long days to discover the phone service was disconnected without my authorization. I just spent over 2 hours on the phone with them. Service is schedule by the 24th, seriously! They gave me a credit but it's not nearly enough when the internet and cable is freezing, no phone service and they jacked up by bill beyond what was quoted when I renewed. Had I known all of this, I would have switched companies. I can never get these lost hours back! So I'm now waiting until Monday to find out if they can expedite the phone service. My cable, internet and phone went out two days ago. Frontier can't even tell me when a tech is coming, yet they say the ticket is "expedited". I don't know where to start...my experience with Frontier has been a nightmare. Poor equipment, poor internet, poor customer service. I couldn't get a service tech to come to my residence at a time I was available (I have to work). Couldn't use the website, because their system had me confused with my nephew's information, who had been living at the residence before me and this was never addressed. Had to use ethernet connections on modem and USB connect devices because wifi never worked. Then in June, two days after the start of the next billing cycle, the modem quits altogether. I call and cancel my service with them. I then pay a $9.95 disconnection fee, for whatever reason, and switch to Comcast. The final insult: I am billed again in July for the month of June when I was no longer their customer...they say I must pay for a month of service I didn't have just because I terminated service two days after the start of the cycle, obligating me to pay for something I didn't get. I called the customer service lady. I got nowhere. They don't care. I am now staring at a collection notice from their agency demanding payment within thirty days...or else. Not sure what to do. It's not as if I can't pay this, but who likes to be threatened into paying for something they don't receive? Stay away from this company. They are crooked. As others have said, there is no negative scale to rate them with, so one star it is, and they don't deserve that. I wish I'd never heard of them... read more

BEWARE!!! IT'S VERIZON BOUGHT OUT!!! BEWARE!!! THE WORST EVER!!!! We hooked up with Veriz....um....Frontier...not knowing it was Verizon which we had heard all of the horror stories. First bill comes in BACKDATED BY TWO WEEKS!!! In other words, before you even get to pay your first bill, your CREDIT!!!! CREDIT!!! is already shot!!! They will destroy your CREDIT rating JUST BY SIGNING UP!!! Now I have to prepare a complaint letter and sent it off to the credit agencies!!! Second, we paid a deposit of $180.00 in two payments. First was $100 which we got credit for. Next was $80 which DISAPPEARED COMPLETELY!!! They stole, right off the top, 80 dollars!! Then customer service acts like they don't even understand bill and services. THEN they hang up on me!! FINALLY, I'm informed that I now will receive, after going back to Brighthouse, an EARLY TERMINATION FEE!!!! We had Veriz....um...Frontier for only two weeks and that's because it took us that long to get hooked back up with Brighthouse which we had been with for almost two year. They don't always have the new FIOS in the suburb areas of Tampa, FL. Do yourself a favor, stick with BRIGHTHOUSE and urge them to install FIOS everywhere. Not just in the new subdivisions. PENNY was extremely rude to me the moment I walked into this store. The DSL modem that she gave to me was not working for me I had multiple conversations with IT specialist and none could solve the issue. I cancelled the service as I was both unable to get any internet service and the customer service was horrible. Upon returning to this store PENNY made the assertion that I was illiterate and didn't read the directions. Im completely disgusted with how she handled my situation. She didn't even want to give me a receipt showing I returned the modem. I insisted and another lady gladly was able to give me a receipt, understanding why I would want one. PENNY is terrible and I don't know what her issue was or why she is in this field of work if she can't talk to customers correctly. Never getting service here again. read more

I got caught up in the Verizon to Frontier fiasco. I planned to switch from DirectTV/Verizon internet to a Verizon bundle. I signed up with Verizon, but they sold to Frontier before the install and my information got lost in the software transition. They said they couldn't find me in the system, therefore couldn't schedule a tech to come out, but that didn't prevent them from billing me. I canceled and returned the equipment back in April and am still getting billed($1200 at this point) and every time I call it is a 2-3 ordeal and NOTHING EVER GETS RESOLVED. I can say without equivocation that this is the worst customer service experience in my 45 years on this planet. I am seriously thinking of launching an ISP as it would be quite easy to siphon market share. read more

Initially I had high hopes, but proved to be worst internet experience I've ever had. The technician who came to install the equipment was friendly, however, left cables all over, provided no paperwork, and did not check service prior to leaving. After just two days we had incredibly poor connectivity (even after purchasing a solid internet package). We were told that a technician could be sent out yet we would be responsible for the hefty service fee. After five days, I canceled yet I have continued to receive bills. Instead of the company trying to possibly salvage the relationship of a potential future customer, I was forced to pay over $200 for a service that I had for barely five days. Unfortunately, unless I get a refund I will never return to Frontier and would discourage anyone else from getting internet/tv service from this provider! read more

My DVR set top box was dead, no lights at all on it, even after I tried plugging it into a different outlet. I called the local Brandon office and spoke with Natalie. She sent a test/reboot order to it but it did nothing. I asked if I could bring the set top box I to their office and switch it out for a new one. She said that they did not stock the set top boxes in the location. While I was disappointed that I could not just swap for a new one at their local office, Natalie did order me a new one. It's to be delivered along with a return box to ship the old one back. I found Natalie to be very helpful in my conversation with her. I will keep my fingers crossed waiting for the delivery, and hope that the swap out and return go smoothly. I will update this review if necessary. read more

Worst Service provider I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with. Can't view shows on any other devices except my TV. On demand does not work, when we try screen is fuzzy and won't play. These issues have been going on for 2 months and 4+ days. I literally missed 3 hockey playoff games due to loss of these features. The worst company ever they make promises the make excuses when they can't fulfill them. Why even have a time block for insulation if they don't even show up!! My husband called them to find out why no one showed up and they told him to schedule for another day then the closest they have for the insulation is 8 days out REALLY!!! He told them to cancel. They have the worst customer phone service. I spent past one hour trying to contact customer billing service to dispute a charge. You can't resolve your issues if you cancel their service. The service does not recognize your account number. After trying many different options, when I finally reached them, they gave me lots of run arounds including disconnecting the call. I ended up calling three different times. I requested to speak to a manager after all my frustrations, they put me on hold for 10 minutes before disconnecting the call. They are horrible!!!!!!!!! Another disgruntled customer of frontier. Poorest customer service ever, poorest wifi ever cannot stream well, answer you get from tech support is that they guarantee hardwired service for mpbs upload as advertised. Billing issues, they charge in advance do not prorate their services, they decide when they are going to terminate your service, they will not sign you up unless you do a contract, you will pay for their technician to even uninstall/unport the service box out in the community. If you call to talk to billing department and request a supervisor you get mocked and irritated by customer service personnel like Donna and Christina you will waste 45 minutes with each customer service person and after yelling they will transfer you to an empty mailbox. Don't forget you have to pay early cancellation contract fees for termination. read more

I agree all the others that left comments. This is the worst internet provider that we have encountered. We had no choice when Verizon changed to Frontier. We were supposed to be receiving high speed internet which we were charged every month. When we talked to Frontier about the poor service they responded with that was not available in our area. Yet the continued to bill us for high speed. Many days we went without service and my wife spent untold hours on the phone with them. They told us that it was $75.00 an hour for a technician to come out and work on our problem. I had never heard of this before having to pay their technician to work on their crap. My only recourse was to find another internet supplier which we did. Best move we ever made. We are having great service at 30 dollars less a month. All I can say that other people realize that you don't have to put up with poor service and there are other companies that want your business. read more

Horrible company who isn't willing to work with you. Tried to keep them as our cable/internet provider. Weren't even close to what we could afford to pay monthly. Cancelled the morning after my due date and was told it was too late and would be billed another month. Asked to speak with a manger. Never got a call back. Called again a few days later to dispute charges which went up over $100 from what I was paying. Agent never filed my dispute and waited over a month and never got a call so called to get an update. Was transferred 4 times and spent over and hr just o find out customer service and billing were same department. Filed another dispute and got a call a week later saying there was nothing that could be done due to company policies. You can't even call or email dispute department. This company has no values. Frontier has been horrible to deal with. First of the cost of service is ridiculous...and customer service is laughable. Ive been receiving bills after i cancelled my service and get multiple reasons why... unpaid bills, unreturned equipment, cancelled service before my "term" was up (which i had for over 2 years). They have no clue why... they are a rip off. Today i called again for the 5th time and she said she would "credit" my account and to ignore the bill.... same thing the last person said that i talked to 2 months ago. I wish there was another way to warn everyone, but Frontier is a scam!!!!!!!! They don't tell you they're locking you into a two year Direct TV contract. Know that your Direct TV receiver being fully functional is contingent upon high speed internet service from Frontier. They sold us the package and told us everything was fully available in our area. Turns out that the internet speed here is .77 mbps, and that's the best they can offer in this area. Of course they didn't tell us that. We waited five To disconnect service is $480! They definitely don't tell you that. They are locking you into a contact for services they can't provide, and they're charging you to get out of it. read more

I had ordered internet services last week to be installed next Saturday. (Clearwater area) I am happy there was time enough for me to do some more research, so now I will decline their service. After researching independent reviews, ie: BBB and an independent review site for Frontier vs Spectrum and decided not to have Frontier. What confirmed my decision is when I have tried 4 times to contact Frontier to cancel, I was either put on hold 10 mins, transferred to be put on hold for several mins or waited to be put on hold! WTH?? I work from home and need reliable high speed internet. I have had Bright House (Spectrum) for 12 years with 99% reliability. Customer service has always been very good. Yes, they are $22 a month more, but for me, it is worth it for reliability and good customer service. Since I have not successfully contacted Frontier to cancel and will not waste anymore of my time trying, I will turn the installer away on Saturday. read more

They don't even deserve half a star.. this is the worst internet provider. But apparently in central Florida, this is the only provider we can use???? Ok so we have been paying $77 bucks a month for 3mbps and a phone line.. yeah. Clearly states on their website $20 a month is 6mbps. Even tho 6 is absolutely atrocious.. it's better than what we've been paying for. Stood on the phone for 5 hours.. literally They kept pulling me around and eventually ended on the 6th representative. Before that they all told me the same thing.."sorry for the inconvenience, I understand your frustration". Not one rep helped me resolve my issue just kept pushing me off to other sales reps or techs.. and not one could help or do anything apparently. How much are they paying these guys? Worst company I have ever worked with. Customer service is like robot, repeating the same script. Scheduled stop service and they stopped it one month early. They admitted their error. Then had to open new account to get service back. Billing was wrong. Charged for tech visit...there was no tech visit. 5 different calls ending with manager would call 3 times ( told I would have to wait 40 min to an hour. I waited 3 different days and a manager never called me back. Spent about 7 hours with customer service for something that should have taken 15 minutes at the most. read more

What do you do when you're Frontier cable bill is over $160/mo but he same service is being offered to new customers for $70/mo. I was a brand new customer less than a year ago and I never got this rate. Now they say they can reduce my bill to $120/mo but it adds another year on to my contract....by the way, I was told there was NO contract. More money, a contract, and no help from customer service. Asked for a desk top set & a whole house DVR (which I will never use) & security was ordered. I managed to cancel the security but talked to 4+ reps. & they could not cancel the DVR. Instead told me that I had received it which to this day I have NOT but am being billed for it! When I wanted the tracking # their computers were conveniently down. Frontier is by far the worst company I have had to deal with so far. We needed a phone line put in and we called last week and they said we would have someone out today June 13th. Like any company you would think they would call you and tell you the day before that they are set to come out. So I call them to find out. The agent that I spoke with was very rude stating that she could not find my account. I then said can we look under my husband information she then but me on a four minute hold to come back and say she is still having someone look into why they can't find the account. I then cut her off and said can we please look under my husband information and of course we found the information. She than said to me I wish we would have started with that. Finally after all that she said she saw that a tech was coming out between 8 and noon to set up the phone line and change the internet speed. It is not 1237 and no one is out to my house yet. My husband than calls and they said there is no tech coming out. So my husband is taking time out of his work day to call and get a tech coming out. I need this phone line bc I will be working from home and this has been by far the worst experience with this company. So now I am told that the next available is Friday...and they will escalated the call. But this is Frontiers error this is not ok and they MIGHT be able to get someone out today. This is how they handle business. Because of an error on their part now we have to pay for the fact that they dropped the ball. THEY dropped the ball THEY didn't put the correct information in and now because of this they want me to take another day off work for them to come out and set up what should have been set up today. Frontier seems to be in the business of soliciting and without consent, setting up customer accounts. I received a box in the mail, for new service I did not order. When I called customer service, I was informed they have ALL my information, including my SSN and billing information. It appears a quote to potentially obtain service, generated a new account. Of course, the rep wasnt able to cancel the account and "referred" my case to her supervisor. I'm very disgusted with this company and until it is resolved, I continue to write poor reviews. Utterly worthless. Before they took over the Verizon lines our DSL speeds were 5mb down /1mb up. Frontier decides to drop speeds to less than 800k down / 50K up all the while forcing you to pay for a landline that is unwanted and unneeded. Avoid Frontier at all costs. read more

I cannot fathom the disappointment I am having with "Frontier" trying to get money right out of my pocket into theirs, by any means necessary that I deem totally unfair. They gave me a "teaser" rate of $80. per month for internet, TV and voice (telephone) and when the year was up ( no Contract) the tried to raise my rate to $142. per month for the same service so I was moving my business to "Spectrum", formerly Bright House. I had to go two days past my end date with Frontier to keep my same phone number, so that the Spectrum technician could hook up my new service and secure my same phone number, anyway, Frontier is now billing me $142 for the two days that I went over my end date, they are billing me for the same 29 days that I was with and paying a different company (Bright House) . I sent them a check for $29 to satisfy a $9 Late charge and an additional $20 that I felt was more than justified for the two days that I stayed with them while trying to connect to Bright House Networks (No Contract either) anyway, they insist that they are justified in billing me for a full 30 days of service even though we had no contract. Now they are billing me the balance of $118 for the month that I was with another carrier. Today I get a flyer in the mail from Frontier for $79.99 a month for internet TV and voice!!! Meanwhile they are billing me a total of $142 for the same service not used...unbelievable. Go else ware!!!! read more

Let me start that I WAS going to be a new customer. I had wanted internet installed in my Townhome but the previous owner had a past due balance. To resolve this they asked me to fax the deed to them, an annoyance in itself, but fine, I sent it over. They said they would get back to me in 24-48 hours, 1 week later and nothing. So I faxed the deed again. 3 days later, still nothing. So I called customer service, to be put on hold for 20 minutes, to be hung up on. I called back and the customer service center was closed. So I went on their 24/7 chat where I was told my order was invalidated and that I've been wasting my time. Perfect. In total, from original order date until the online chat, I've had over 10 customer service touch points over a month of time and not a single one has been positive. Unless you count the sales girls who were happy to have me buy from them. Frontier is a mess and I would rather go without internet in my home for the rest of my life (they're the sole provider at my address) than deal with them one more time. read more

Called them a week ago to start service with them. They told me that someone would be out to do the install on Tuesday. Stayed home all day Tuesday, no one came. Called them on Wednesday and asked what was going on. They told me that it was a "self-install" and that the modem/router was shipped UPS, and should be there by Friday. Friday comes and still nothing from Frontier. I call again and am told it will take 5-7 business days and call them next Friday if nothing arrives. read more

I had my mom set up my internet and phone. I was out of the country. when the installer came he tried to charge my mother 100 dollars for installation. she wasn't having any of that so he said ok. during the install he left and came back 3 times saying he did not have a router. after 3 hours he left. since then I have to unplug and plug my router in at least 4 times a day. long story short . The router is not the correct one for my snail paced DSL. I have called 3 different times only to get attitude and nothing more. I pay 10 dollars a month for the router the WPS button does not work. Yesterday I was told that it would be an additional 12.99 a month to have this option activated on my router. I said that would be 23.00 a month for a router that is not supposed to be with my system that your company installed, thinking that would jar her brain as to what's going on but as in Frontier fashion she said yes that's correct. Alright so here it goes. 3 1/2 weeks ago I called Frontier and made an appointment to change our services to our new home on Fri 8/17. I was told everything was set, was given an order number and a time frame of 11-5, at 5:30pm I called, as I had been sitting at the new house waiting, they couldn't find my order number.... so they reset me for Saturday install but could not give me a time because it was an expedited service, Saturday was move in day..... NO showed again, I called on Monday at 8am to find out why and what happened. They apologized and said that the techs were booked and even if someone is expedited they will not get serviced , but that she (now speaking with a manager) called dispatch and scheduled a new order for today, Monday between 8-5 because the guys are have other jobs so they were "fitting" me in.... at 4:30pm I called because no one had showed...... well guess what? No one was coming because the guy was running behind and CANCELLED my work order! So at this point they told me the soonest someone could come out was Thursday! I said absolutely NOT, I homeschool, my son has to do schoolwork and this is your fault, I work from home and am losing business! So they sent me to retention management, she reduced my bill set me up for today between 8-11am. Its 1040am........ no call, no one has showed up. I've called Spectrum.... they will be here MONDAY!
