So I was excited to shop for a dress for my upcoming wedding anniversary party in April. My first thought was to choose a store with great reviews and schedule an appointment. I respect people's time and I know that getting fitted and measured takes time. My friends and I came in on time and there was no one at the front area to check me in. The store was packed and we waited about 8 minutes before anyone talked to us. Finally, a young girl came down and I told her that I had an appointment for a non bridal consultation/fitting. She said that they were busy but that she would be available in about 5 to 10 minutes. About 15 minutes later she comes down to get me and proceeded to walk me and my friends to their upstairs room. She spoke to some other lady and told me that she'd be right back, again just leaving me hanging. I started to look at their Leheghas for about 5 minutes, alone, girl never came back and sent an elderly woman who could barely speak English and barely walk to come over only to tell me that they don't have what I was looking for. I was stunned and very upset that I wasn't treated with the same respect and customer service as the rest of the customers in the store, I wasn't a walk in. I had an appointment, they didn't even see me on time or bothered to help me and send a bibi who can barely understand me to tell me that they don't have the Leheghas that I saw all around the store??? This establishment simply didn't want my money. Wasted almost an hour of my day waiting around only to be left alone and with someone who obviously didn't really want to help me. This place is horrible. I don't recommend it at all. Horrible customer service, they don't honor their appointment times, and they'll lie to you and waste your time. I'm happy to report that Artesia has so many other shops and I was able to find what I was looking for, was treated great, and bought my outfit and all my jewelry at a much much better place. it was an okay experience prices are way too high when you can get the same quality online and for cheaper a few points to consider * lehenga didnt arrive in time, was two weeks late * lehenga did not fit after arriving from india * i told them i wanted certain things to fit better and came back a week later and none of the changes were correct * they cut corners with tailoring and will try to fix things the fastest/easiest way over the correct way * i tried to explain to them i wanted it to fit this particular way not the way they were suggesting but they were very pushy to say their way was the correct one * very yes man attitude even though they were not able to deliver on the changes i wanted in the end, it was too close to the wedding so i had to take it to my usual tailor who fixed it perfectly all in all, the lehenga was beautiful but the experience was not good for how much premium i paid (1.2k+) next time, i would just buy online from pernias. give them your measurements and they get much closer read more

After spending pretty much every weekend browsing all the infinite stores on Pioneer, these two stores had the absolute best and most beautiful selection. My ex-husband got his outfit semi-custom made from Frontier and I got the Sangeet and Ceremony outfit from Raas. Pratibha and Dimple were so kind, and sweet and helpful. I can absolutely say without a shadow of a doubt that frontier heritage is an absolute TOP-TIER place. When looking for a wedding outfit for you or your soon to be spouse, I will be honest. I was nervous as a black person walking into an Indian bridal store. Sometimes I don't get the best customer service or usually I get looks like. Why are you here? That DID NOT happen here. Everybody absolutely took great care of me and were super sweet and helped me during one of the most important of our lives. The quality of their outfits are absolutely amazing. Their tailors are on point and knowledgeable and can definitely help guide you every step of the way through the process. I can definitely say you need to have patience, especially if it's going to come to alterations or anything of the sort as that can take time. But as long as you walk in with the understanding of that, you can't go wrong here. They were great with communication. Any kind of alterations. We needed done. They took care of it. They were nice to me, my ( now ) wife and my family and I could never thank them enough for the love and care they brought to my wedding I would suggest them to anybody. I purchased my bridal and reception outfit from here. We had both outfits customized and there was quite alot of back and forth when it came to the design and my vision. I finally went to pick up my outfits and honestly felt kinda rushed out of there and did not feel it was how a true bridal fitting appointment should go because they are kind of all over the place. My outfits were not properly steamed so my family had to help with steaming all of the wrinkles out. Tanmay was nice and as helpful as he could be. The outfits did turn out beautiful, but always make sure the embroidery they design will match your jewelry because I had a very hard time finding matching jewelry in the end since the color of my embroidery was not specified until I received it. I did send photos from my wedding day so they can see how pretty everything looked when put together, but never heard back from them. Overall we were happy with my outfits. read more

We had a big Indian Chinese wedding in Palm Springs last year and it was complicated. At so many points along the way I was super grateful for Jassi, Neeta Auntie and the team at Frontier. I recommend them to everyone. When I looked it was pretty clear that for their service, selection and style they're by far the best option on Pioneer Blvd, but for what we needed, I even prefer them to the standard 2 week shopping trip to India. (From LA but lived in India in my 20s, so have done the bridal shopping thing a lot with friends who came through). Some highlights: --They outfitted my husband, who isn't Indian, patiently explaining all of the options and finding him something he ended up really liking --Auntie spent a lot of time helping me find choices that fit my personal (not that fancy) style but still looked great in photos. She also went above and beyond in helping me get a custom top that had the exact cut I wanted. She has great taste - I didn't listen to her on jewelry and regret it --She also diplomatically helped my mom find something for our sangeet in our budget after an outfit from another place was botched As some others have mentioned it's probably a little more expensive than other shops in Artesia but imo worth it for the quality, selection, and the zero shenanigans. With a short timeline to a destination wedding it would have been really stressful to deal with some of the surprises and alterations issues you find at other shops, and in the 1-2 instances where we encountered a surprise it was always handled in a fair and stress free way. (E.g. we made a custom top where the color came in not quite right a week before the wedding, and I was never worried that they would try to talk me into saying it matched or that the top wouldn't arrive as promised before I needed to leave for the wedding.) I custom ordered outfits for my bridesmaids and groomsmen here in October because they were the only store that had dusty rose sari's and kurtas. Half of my outfits were going to be navy blue and half were dusty rose. I selected the color based on a sari that they had in the store and they told me that they would have the outfits ready by December. In November I went to Frontier in Vancouver and bought a custom colored grooms outfit where I selected colors from a swatch palette. When I went to pick up the outfits from Frontier in LA, the dusty rose outfits were the wrong shade, all of them being coral instead of the color that I had selected. At $220/sari and $165/kurta I was not happy and the saleswoman tried to convince me that the outfits were the color that I had selected. Fortunately, I had a picture that I sent to one of my bridesmaids of the color that I had selected from the sari in their store. Once I showed her the picture, she tried to convince me that the color of the outfit that showed up was CLOSE to the color that I had selected and the best that she could do if I wasn't happy was to get all of my outfits in navy blue because they couldn't get the fabric the color that I wanted. She also tried to lie and say that they had attempted to custom dye the fabric to the color that I had selected but then admitted later that they used pre-dyed fabric as opposed to custom dying the color that I had asked for. I told the sales woman that I bought my groom's outfit from Frontier in Canada and they gave me a swatch book to pick the accent colors of the outfit and they were able to do dusty rose accents. The saleswoman said "You went to Canada?" and came back with the exact swatch book I had seen at the Vancouver store and asked me which color I had picked from the book. She told me that she would get me new swatches and call me in 3 days. I received no calls and had to go back to the location, which is an hour and half away from me, to try and attempt to get help. The whole time many of the workers were rude to me and kept brushing me off saying that they were waiting to receive swatches for me to pick from, but I had to make follow up calls to get status updates to see when the new swatches would arrive etc. Once I selected my swatch I was told that the new outfits were going to be there in 2 week. 2 weeks from the order date was January 15th. I called multiple times and was repeatedly told that the outfits were "on their way" and that they'd call me when the outfits arrived. The outfits arrived on February 8, literally two weeks before my wedding, and fortunately the correct color this time. The sari's were not my first choice, but I was told it was the only sari in the store that they could do in both navy blue and dusty rose. The rhinestones are falling off all over the place, and it definitely wasn't worth the $220, especially because the color wasn't even right the first time and they really thought that I would just take the outfits and not notice. I've attached pictures of the coral outfit they tried to pass off to me as the correct color and the dusty rose that I got the second time around, 3 weeks late. They tried to give me free tailoring on the outfits I ordered to "make up for it" but I regret giving these people my business. This place is unreliable and the people who work here are rude. They will promise you the world and then will try to scam you. Take your money and your business elsewhere Post Wedding Update: They didn't add pleats properly in the saris that we paid an extra $20/sari for. The fabric was such poor quality. My men's suits were supposedly silk, but looked and felt like cotton despite the fact that they charged me for silk. A bunch of cheap liars trying to rip off whoever they can and cut corners to save a buck. My grooms suit from Frontier in Vancouver was beautiful, done in the correct colors to my specifications and really really well made. I generally buy Indian outfits on my trips to India. However this time I could not make my annual trip to India. For my cousin's wedding I had to find a few Indian outfits and quickly. I visited Frontier this past month and found 3 gorgeous outfits for the wedding ceremonies. I found some really unique pieces that fit my requirement of a fusion Indian/ American outfit. These got me a lot of compliments at the wedding. Their prices are a little higher than the other boutiques on the Pioneer boulevard. However their service and turnaround was exceptional. I also want to mention Pooja Tharur who was my sales person and was very helpful in both selection and alterations. I would highly recommend seeking her out if you are visiting that store. She worked with me in recommending outfits that aligned with my style and staying on top of my alterations and event deadlines. We really didn't know anything about buying Lehenga's and we needed some for my daughters best friend's wedding in India! We arrived almost to closing time at Frontier Heritage and they stayed late and took care of us. The quality of the dresses here are truly amazing, we took one look and knew we could not afford them, but they worked with us on the price and also did the fantastic alterations. The wonderful lady that knows exactly what to do is Pankti, she knows what dresses will make you look like a princess and makes sure you are taken care of, she is the one to go to. Spent almost US$4400 on two wedding dresses, one lehenga and one sherwani. Both are messed up. Wrong fabric, wrong design, short and tight. Sherwani is too loose. Few items also missing dopatta for sherwani. No remedy offered. Now we're hopelessly 45 days away from reception day. At one point, they said they will replace this lehenga and will bring new one from India. Now they're telling they will fix this piece here. We are scared what they're going to do! Will they be able to deliver correct one on time? Right item with correct fabric, design and measurements? People, I know, this is the only option for Indian wedding dresses here in Los Angeles but be careful before paying them money. Shop around, try something different which may work. In two occasions, while in the store, heard other customers are unhappy, frustrated and yelling with store staffs with no results. It's easy to get lost in the myriad of clothing stores on Pioneer Blvd. My family and I have been coming to Artesia for years and we always find the best quality and best prices at Frontier. Not only are the clothes made of high quality fabric (for the most part), but the designs are more unique and sophisticated than the other stores nearby. Shayesta and my mom have established a rapport over the years, and we never leave without buying at least one sari (usually two)! She's helpful and attentive without being overbearing, and always works with us so that both parties end up happy. Wifey and I are India bound for a wedding and it's truly serious in terms of saree, lehenga, sherwani, you name it. Frontier Heritage is probably the most elegant store in Artesia. Not cheap, but wifey definitely found some gorgeous costume jewelry with excellent sales help. Perfect if you're arriving in Delhi the day before the mehndi, sangeet, ceremony, reception and actually need four changes. My fiance and I live in Arizona, and when we got engaged, it was understood that I planned on wearing a lehenga for our wedding. I had no idea how much lehengas cost, what the process was like to purchase them, etc., so when we went to LA for a trip, we stopped by Artesia so that I could gather my bearings and be more informed about what purchase I was making. Initially, I figured $1500 might be good enough for what I liked, so I stopped in a store down the street from Sari Palace and told them I was looking for a lehenga. It was a weekday, and no one else was in the store, so it was no problem. However, the woman acted like I was a major inconvenience to her. When she asked me what styled I LIKED (not what I could afford,) I showed her a photo of a mint green Sabyasachi lehenga and her immediate response was "UM This is a Sabyasachi lehenga, and you definitely can't get this with $1500." I wasn't asking for this specific piece; I was showing her what style I liked. Anyway, while showing me lehengas, a group of women walk in stating that their daughter is getting married in six months and needs help. She turned all of her attention away from me and immediately began helping them. The family asked her in Hindi if I still needed her help, and she replied "no, she's not going to buy anything anyway," not realizing I understood Hindi. I learned months later while shopping for my wedding in india that this business is a chain associated with so many other "frontier" such as raas and whatever in delhi and Phagwara. All their shops simply lack class and customer service. Treat and speak to you rudely do not even care whether they are speaking down to elders such as my PARENTS. Have some shame. They describe their pieces as "designer and like none other" When I have actually seen replicated sabyasachi pieces to the little details. They are actually being sued by sabyasachi for copying their styles this I learned from the shop owner.. Why would you tell me this?? No customer service that's why! I have been there during the week and 1 other customer was there. 2 of the store helpers were talking on personal cell phones and totally ignored us customers. I walked in on a Sunday morning with 8 of my family members including my mom, future mother in law, sister etc.. looking for a bridal lehenga, 10 bridesmaids lehengas to be custom made as well as saris for the women in my family. We walked in and everyone working there stared at us with no greeting and no smiles. Anything I asked to see, try on, or touch felt like a complete inconvenience to the woman who was assigned to help my family and I. They asked if I had another appointment somewhere else and I said yes, at Sari Palace. They looked worried and all of a sudden they had extra lehengas in their warehouse that they could bring to show. At that point I wasn't very interested with giving them my business. The fabric of all of their outfits felt and looked cheap anyways. Wasn't a fan. Walked over to Sari Palace and got the best service!! They offered seating for all of my guests, water and tea.
