Heartbreaking. They even said, "Be good to us and we'll be good to you." Sounded just like Gollum: "We be nice to them if you be nice yo us!"

Because of that, I was involuntarily made to check my bag--they just snapped at me to follow them, which I really didn't appreciate. After over an hour delay to take off and then have waited another 30 minutes for my bag. I was very late getting back. What made it even more frustrating was, as we were deplaning, two guys from boarding group 2, just a couple rows ahead, asked my row for their bags. I was so upset when I saw them laying their carry-ons sideways, taking up at least two spaces. I thought the flight attendants would check like they normally do, but this time, nothing. I filed a complaint the day I got home, and I still haven't heard back after all this and I'm quite sure I'm not the only complaint. I'm really disappointed--Southwest has always been my go-to, but with these issues--especially as they roll out the new preferred seating system--I might have to look at other airlines. I really hope they get it together and give me a voucher for the cost of my preferred seating.

I sort of read up on Allegiant Airlines in the past. Unfortunately, I hadn't read good things about…read morethem. To be honest, I didn't really care since the flights offered were non-stop and pretty inexpensive. I decided to go with them because of this. I'm sure it couldn't be worse than taking a bus somewhere. Let me tell you...that can really be the pits! Been there, done that! I'll try to avoid that. Lol. We'll save those stories for other days. Anyway...My flight to Las Vegas from El Paso (vice versa) ran smoothly. The airport staff could've been a little bit friendlier in El Paso but that's fine. The staff in Las Vegas was friendlier and more helpful. I also booked the hotel through Allegiant online. Everything with this mostly ran smoothly. I did a separate review on the hotel experience for MGM Grand. I will say that I appreciated the complimentary night! I was charged for a two-night stay rather than three. Right now is a good time to travel if you feel safe enough to do so. The planes were spotless and seemed like they were newer models. All of the staff followed safety precautions by wearing masks. They offered passengers masks and gloves. They asked passengers to keep their masks on at all times while in the waiting area and on the plane. There are some minor complaints that I have. 1.) I wish they would fly out to more destinations from El Paso. Right now, they're only flying to Las Vegas, cities in Florida and San Diego. Allegiant...please consider adding Houston to your list of destinations offered in El Paso! I do see that they fly into Hobby Airport but not directly from El Paso. We usually go through George Bush Airport but that's fine. Why am I asking for this? Because I want to go visit my nephews in Houston more often! It is always SO expensive to fly to Houston with every other airline I've used. I have no idea why! The drive to H-town from here takes about 10 hours. 2). They charge ridiculous amounts for drinks and snacks on the flight. They aren't complimentary. A beer is around $9 and a can of soda is $3. The snacks are around $5. Water is $3. Another thing...It also costs around $30 for each bag you check in (give or take). However, you are allowed to take one carry on bag on the plane. Overall, I recommend Allegiant Airlines. I'll definitely use them again to fly out to Vegas and maybe the other destinations they offer us in El Paso at this time. I'm looking into driving to Phoenix and catching a flight to Houston from there. We'll see... I'm saying 4.5 but rounding up to 5 stars. :)

I don't like leaving bad reviews but I can't shake this one off. The agent across from me was all smiles and respectful to her clients. I got the complete bitter opposite. ve been living El Paso since 1981 same place on Eastside. The reason I write this is after all…read morethese years living in this town I have never had such unpleasant experiences with the a locally owned business as I did at Westside Suntravel. I'm surprised the president of this company, Mr. Paul Corman, will allow these things to occur. I've visited and spent much money with Westside SunTravel before, but never had any unpleasant experiences. I've been dealing with them for a longtime but never had to dear with such unspeakable, selfish people Who had no common courtesy to their clients needs..we canceled all our Travel with them & ask for our copy of our passport and credit card back. This was at Eastside SunTrevor located at 1718 N. Zaragoza. My neighbor & I had an appointment with one of the agents at that place. On 31st of October at 10:AM to pay the Downpayment that we've been talking about for our trip. The problem was when we were conducting business at their office about a one hour later I needed to go to the restroom. So I asked them & They said their restroom is only for the Employees going as far to tell me to go to the next door to Popeyes or theother side insurance company's restroom. I couldn't believe what I was hearing... I even asked to see the manager & explained it to-her that I'm Elderly person my bladder is not dependable as it used to be therefore I need to go now.. but they wouldn't give it up still want me to go to next door... keep saying it's their policy. Most of us, when the time comes to go you have to go ... I couldn't believe what was happening. I have been with SunTravel before but never experienced anything like it.... The reason we went to the Eastside, we live close to buy it. It only takes five minutes to get there. So instead of driving way out to the west side since it's the same company we never expected anything like this... What upsets me was that they didn't have the simple common decency of allowing their clients who is elderly need to use a restroom. I don't think the president of this company Mr.Paul Corman, will never allow it something like this. Anyway, next morning on Friday the November 1st, at 9 AM I called Westside wanted to talk to Mr. Corman, but they told me he's not in so I asked for the manager and manager who's name is Ann, came on when I explained what happened she sounded like she's not surprised and she said it's their contract whatever that means... but I told her that I want Mr. Coleman to know what is going on out there and then she said that she will let him know. There is no response whatsoever from them. But I want people of El Paso to know that's how they conduct their business. The way I see it, if they don't want anybody to use their restroom, they shouldn't be having business in the public first place.

And whenever I return, I'm always looking forward to my home and my bed and my life here. And it's a nice, easy airport to navigate. It's the equivalent of a 2-3 block walk between the check-in and bag claim areas (which are next to each other) and most gates (up one level and then to the right or left.) We are neither a big crazy airport nor a tiny airport. We're right in the middle. Airport staff are generally quite nice. Restrooms are always very clean to spotless in my experience. Precheck is a plus to sail through security in 1-5 minutes, but there are rarely long regular lines unless it's peak times on holidays, after a large event like the Sun Bowl, or a there's a large group traveling together. Areas for improvement: El Paso hasn't updated to provide a lot of outlets to charge devices - it should try to add some power stations with seating in the terminal. Concessions are a bit of a weak point. I wish they were less bland, less expensive. It would be wonderful if the selections better represented the El Paso/Juarez region. For example, I would love to see Chuco Relic selling their goods at the airport, and someone selling some food and alcohol from our region (such as our NM wineries like Lescombes, Zin Valle and Rio Grande, and our El Paso breweries like Aurelia's, Mountain Star and Three Missions.) There are lots of great local restaurants that would be great to see, too. Mexican burritos make great airport to-go food. Sadly, much of the US isn't familiar with true Mexican burritos -- but should be. I also think an airport El Taquito and a Panda Burgers would do well. I'd like to see Carne Asada, Barbacoa, Deshebrada, Machaca, Cabrito, Chile Rellenos and tamales available. It would also be nice to see more local art (we have amazing talent here!) and some more local history of the region, or profiles of people who contributed to making the El Paso / Juarez / Las Cruces region what it is today.

So I banged it from the inside & yelling to get a staff's attention & sure enough, one of them came because I heard that male staff on the opposite side of the door & loudly asked me if I was one one behind that door & J yelled I was! So he managed to get the door open & that's when I asserted that door lock needs replacement, but he was dismissive saying it just got alittle jammed (as if nothing really just happened.). But I am bringing this matter to the public's attention that the doors on those restrooms need to be thoroughly inspected before someone else experiences the same thing! It's a safety issue & should not happen at all like this. But other than that, I have had nothing, but a very good experience traveling on AmTrak. I have been a frequent AmTrak train traveler since September 2022. I will continue traveling on AmTrak, but I would like to see improvements on those bathroom locks.
