Great prices, friendly staff and most of their merchandise is top notch! They run great sales, like 60% on the top quality merchandise that you can buy from the catalog. When you shop off season or end of season you can get amazing discounts! The last time I was here I bought some seat cushions for new outdoor rocking chairs at 90% off. That maybe a couple of $60 quality cushions only $6! They have beautiful linens, most are just discontinued but some are previously monogrammed. They have wall art, lighting, bar stools, outdoor furniture, couches and chairs! Generally staff is very helpful, occasionally they are busy and greet you but seem preoccupied but mostly they are friendly, talkative and try to help you locate what you're looking for in the store. Their return policy is a short window of time but they do allow returns. You have to be a little careful when shopping here and examine things very well. They do occasionally have damaged goods but that's the point of a good outlet. Great prices on things they couldn't sell in the full price location. read more

Alright guys I have to break up this love fest. Unless you are a millionaire this "outlet" is not for you. I like expensive things. I BUY expensive things. I believe quality over quantity is best, but this. is. ridiculous. I've heard rumors of this infamous Frontgate outlet for years and finally ventured up on Sunday searching for simple patio cushions only to find $45-$65 for one patio CHAIR cushion. WHAAT?! That means for four cushions it would be around $250. *blank stare* Then we thought, ok while we are here let's look at dog beds because I know they have ridiculously high priced dog beds in their catalog maybe we can score a deal. WOWZER. These beaten down beds shoved in a dusty corner of the store were still priced at $258 - FOR A DOG BED. My boyfriend joked, "When your dog bed costs more than your bed, that's a problem..." There is a difference between buying nice things and then buying something because it has a brand name. I just kept thinking how funny would this be if this were an SNL skit? People walking around buying ordinary things for thousands of dollars. "Oooh look at this tiny lamp for $3,000. We MUST have it!" In my opinion this was not an outlet. My Frontgate towels lost their color in patches all over the towels. Frontgate replaced 2 of my towels and they again lost patches. I use normal detergent and warm water. None of my other towels or clothes faded. I give up. They are nice towels but I will just throw them away, as they are unsightly. no stars read more

This outlet tends to have some really great sales and some not so good sales. It just depends on which sale you hit! The store has a warehouse feel, with lots of Frontgate items to choose from. You can find items that are 30 - 80+% off. The higher the discount is typically damaged items or items that are off season. If you have high end taste, then I am sure you can find some items you would love to buy. Just depends on how much you are willing to spend! Horrible place to visit. I was there with my daughter, she is nine months pregnant, thought her water broke, we asked if she could use the restroom to check and they refused to allow it! We walked across the hall to Grandin Road and they refused as well. (Also owned by Frontgate) We had to leave and go to a restaurant across the street, to find out it did break. I called to complain to the manager and she defended that decision! There is right and there is wrong, that is wrong. I don't know what is wrong with people these days. Cheaper prices found in their catalog. Most sales have so many exclusions you need a magnifying glass to see. Asked for a manager. Blonde older woman came and was defensive and unbelievably rude. Got in a loud argument with me and tried to tell me my items could be returned even tho receipt was clearly stamped not returnable. I had purchased a tree 4 years back . Second year lights didn't work on about 1/4 of a 7.5ft tree. I thought I had posted a review but looking on website couldn't find it. Front gate in my experience has horrible customer service. They don't stand behind their products although they charge $$$$! Trees are made like garbage( plastic) . I purchased a 12 ft artificial tree the year before I got married ( org 1250$ ) I paid 550$ . That tree not only looks beautiful held up to over 14 yrs of use! The only reason I purchased one was I could no longer risk going up on an 8ft ladder to decorate my original one( hip replacement and other physical injuries) Two years for a 900$ tree .. what a waste of my time more importantly my MONEY! This is my 5 th year with this tree. Doesn't look anything like it did first year . Doesn't stand straight , plain ugly . Going for a real tree next year and going forward. My husband can't get 3/4 of lights to work . So I'll buy lights put them on use the tree and to the trash it will go at the end of this season . Do not waste your $$$ picture unlit is current look of FG tree. Middle is in 2017 when we added 2 strands of 200 lights. Last my 12 ft tree that was always breathtaking! read more

We are on our third fire pit! We hope this one works And is one piece. In a previous review I wrote that we received the second one. Come to find that piece of granite was missing on the table. We finally received the third fire pit. Have missed five days total From work waiting for these idiots to show up. They keep sending letters stating that they have not received the old fire pit. They obviously have the old ones. We called them and they said we had been shipped 4 fire pits. We told them to check their records and figure it out. I'm certainly going to check my credit card to make sure I'm not charged for an extra fire pit. I would recommend not ordering anything from this company read more

I purchased two of the Vector Retractable Hose Reel (item#144861) in July 2014. The reel works great and because of the 1/2 in host it was very easy to use. However, in May 2015 one of the coupling, connecting the hose to the faucet, was split at the joint. I contacted Customer Service and they replaced the entire wheel with no charge. For anyone who has ever received a Frontgate catalog in the mail and been completely and totally depressed because of the outrageous prices....the outlet store is your answer! If you aren't familiar with their catalog, Frontgate offers relatively high-end home and outdoor furnishings and appliances. I'm always excited to see the newest catalog because Frontgate always seems to be the first company to break cool items that show up in Pottery Barn six months later. This past spring, Frontgate had a huge inflatable outdoor movie screen for sale...Pottery Barn introduced an identical product that summer. Why someone would ever be willing to pay thousands for a product that is bulky, inconvenient, and only use able for three months in a year, I don't know...but it's cool anyways. My mom and I could spend quite a bit of time in the Frontgate Outlet, it's not too big (this is no IKEA) but there are quite a few interesting and innovative products to catch your attention. I personally love browsing the "entertaining" themed appliances, which feature state of the art margarita blenders and soft-serve ice cream makers. With the exception of our pool chaise lounges, every purchase we have made at Frontgate has lasted and still looks good. The chaise lounges ended up breaking under a very normal amount of body weight (less than 150 pounds), so I wouldn't recommend spending your money on them! read more

I am going to start this review stating that this is ONLY for the time around the holidays, other than that the stars would drop off significantly because I'm not into overpriced stuff. I am a self proclaimed Halloween junkie. I freely admit it, and I think that is what makes me so awesome. :) But seriously, if it's creepy and inexpensive I may own it... or I WILL in time. What the heck does this have to do with Frontgate you may ask...well a lot if you are too a Halloween junkie like myself. My boyfriend and I headed down to this swanky place that I normally would stay away from, the day after Halloween. He heard that they had some incredibly marked down items and we wanted to see if that meant OUR version of marked down or theirs. We walked in, and in the main entrance that connects all the stores, there was a fantastic sight to behold. White life sized ghostly figures that move when plugged in greeted us in a group as if they were getting ready to sing in a ghastly chorus. Scarecrows made of straw stood behind them staring creepily at us as if to challenge our bravery to take them home. I checked the price on those, and normally they were around $300! Here at this gigantic sales extravaganza, they were marked down to around $58!!!! HOLY MARKDOWNS BATMAN!!! Are you serious??? Yes, dead serious... pun intended. We kept walking and there were shelves full of odds and ends... skeleton pairs that played the banjo, witches with light up eyes, zombie hand candle holders, party supplies, etc. There was a ton of stuff to choose from. We literally filled the cart with all types of creepy goodness. The total? $120... FOR A FULL CART OF GOODIES!!!! I checked the price on this stuff online (which did not have these discounts..) and I would have spent close to or over $1000 for everything I purchased!!! I have heard that they are the same way with other holiday décor as well, but I cannot attest to that as I have only perused around Halloween time. One word of advice though, check anything out before you buy it. Sometimes the stuff is out there because it's damaged. I think this will be my new go to spot every day after Halloween though, so I may see you there, but don't buy up all the good stuff or I'll be sad!! read more

I purchased a large Christmas tree in 2009 and spent over $1,000.00 on it thinking that it would be high quality for the money I spent and last for many years. Not so! For only using the tree for a few weeks each year since my purchase the tree is now falling apart and no longer useable. I called their customer service and was told to email them as they did not take calls that have complaints about their products. Emailed them two weeks ago and have heard nothing from them. Very disappointed in Frontgate and their customer service and will never shop with them again. read more

I drove about 45 mins on my day off to visit this store. On the day I went the entire store was 50% off. I thought I struck gold! Long story short I bought a large rug and when I placed the rug in my cart it had a funny smell, kind of like the inside of a old tent. I thought maybe it was from the rug sitting no the warehouse floor or it was the rubber backing. I took the rug home and woke up the next morning to my living room smelling like mildew! It was my new rug! Not only did the rug stink up the room , the smell transferred the my carpet too! I had to clean my carpet and keep the windows open for a day! Shame on frontgate for selling this rug! I went to exchange the rug and all the rugs in the stack also stunk. Gross! read more

This is one of my favorite stores. Even though the outlet prices are still higher than others, the quality is unmatched. I go once a month, I am on the mailing list to know when the big sales are. I could almost open my own frontgate outlet with all the furniture I have from them and Ballard. The staff is super helpful, if you see something in the catalog but can't afford it, they will put you on a list and call you when they have it. We are so fortunate to have this store. I bought all my cushions for my outdoor sofa and love seat for $25 a set, the fabric is sunbrella and they use high quality foam so they don't mold. They will work with you on the price so don't hesitate to barter. read more

False price advertisement. Ordered a 6 Panel Pet Gate that was priced, online on their site, at 169.00 on July 21, 2017. Received an email the next day saying they were processing my 2 Panel pet gate order. I called to confirm what I had ordered and was told, don't worry, it's a glitch you ordered the 6 Panel Pet Gate. In July I saw a charge placed on my card from them for the gate, but had not received confirmation from they it was being shipped. They told me the charge is just to make sure the card can take it, it will be removed until the order is shipped. I again asked for confirmation on my order and it was confirmed the 6 Panel Pet Gate. On August 15, 2017, I received an email from Frontage asking me to call to confirm what I had ordered. I called and it was agreed and confirmed I had ordered the 6 Panel Pet Gate and that it would be shipped shortly. On August 26th I received an email that stayed the 2 Panel Pet Gate was shipped out. I did not call to confirm for a 4th time, because I believed this had been managed by this point. Today, August 31, the 2 Panel arrived. I called. They don't care. I can pay the now online advertised price of 459.00. DON'T TAKE YOUR CHANCES ORDERING FROM FRONTAGE, JUST DON'T ORDER FROM THEM!!! This is not one of the good ones. I guess you just need to go to the BBB of the state the corporate headquarters are in to check things out before you order from them, or to file a complaint after. Only giving 1 star because we can't give 0! TERRIBLE company to do business with! We ordered a Papillon Shade and Base Kit for our pool area on April 29, 2017. Total price of $5,274.05. The base kit was delivered almost immediately and the shade was supposed to be shipped on June 14th. On June 21st we called for status and they said 'it was with the trucking firm'. They stated the delivery date was not in the system yet. We called back on June 26th and they said they 'did not know where it was'. REALLY? Next we sent an email to customer service letting them know our frustration and that we would write a letter to the president of the company alerting him of the situation. They responded with the shade would be 'shipped' on July 27th with delivery some time in August! REALLY? WAS IT EVER EVEN ORDERED? On July 11th we wrote a letter to the President of the company to let him know we were very disappointed with his customer service and what has been going on since April 29th. We also mentioned that we have a short swimming season in NJ and the new delivery date would be a couple of weeks before we close the pool. It was sent certified mail and we paid extra for a return receipt. Much to our surprise the whole letter was returned to us without being opened and the word 'REFUSED' written across it! REALLY? If you take your time and look you can find some great products at great prices. About the staff: They have always been helpful and never pushy. They don't mind you asking questions. I have yet to meet one who was a blemish on Frontgate's image. I did find the EZ Bed I wanted. A Queen size for 120.00! Beautiful! Different week, different bargain. I went one time and wanted rugs but towels were on sale. Silly me should have bought the towels. I went on my next trip to Cincy to get the towels and rugs were on sale. So I found these plush plush rugs for two of my bathrooms. Both long enough for double bowl vanities. With the discount one was 25, the other was 32. For me the joy of this store when I walk away with a few things that are really 60 to 70 percent off the catalog price. I love too many things about the store to list. If/when I see another Queen EZ Bed for close to 120.00 I will get another one! read more

I have recently ordered the Raffels Counter Height Stool. They are described as top grain leather when in fact they are some kind of synthetic man made material. I have confronted Frontgate and they did not deny it. They offered me 10% off to keep them and then when I refused they offered me another 5% off. I tried to write a review on their site but they did not post it and claimed that I had already posted a review which I had not. This is their way of not getting caught with false advertising and misrepresentation of a product, screening their reviews first before they are posted. They are opening themselves to a class action lawsuit for false adverting of their products. i ordered an air hockey table from frontgate.com on june 18, 2016. it is now july 26, 2016 and still haven't received it. the tracking info has said "shipped" for weeks on end. i contacted frontgate. and their response was "it takes 2-3 weeks." my response was that it's been five weeks. frontgate final response is this is your problem not ours. terrible customer service. it is not the customers' responsibility to see to it that the merchant ships the merchandise that was purchased from them. update...........now it's august.......over 6 weeks and still no customer service in sight. terrible customer service...... ohhhhhhh god........late today august 1, after the deliver driver failed to come during the time they stated, wanted to deliver the 200 pound air hockey table to the porch instead of to the room, as specified by inhome delivery........the torture never stops............ you just can't get any worse than this unless they just smash the table on the front lawn.......... read more

When I read there was a Frontage-Ballard Design outlet within an hour+ drive, I decided to check it out on my next visit to the Cincinnati area. Expecting great deals I was disappointed. Like previously mentioned everything is ridiculously expensive. Dog collars with the name "Dover" and part of the stitching missing is $59; an office/desk organizer was missing an entire side was $159. A twin size blanket in Ballard was $259. On the plus side additional discounts were offered. However none of the reasonable items offered from their catalogs were available. I did manage to score a $329 mailbox for $80. The personalization on the side and screws were missing but that was fine. It was in excellent condition. I also acquired an outdoor thermometer for the patio for $20. It is offered online for $26 now using their 40% off code. While pleased with my purchases I probably will not go back. read more

Don't listen to the reviews about having to be a "Millionaire" to shop here. It is WONDERFUL. The day I happened upon it (staying in a hotel nearby" they had 60% off bar stools, and 50% off all outdoor items! I am an interior decorator, and I use some of the same wholesalers as Frontgate/Ballard/Grandin Rd...I can tell you definitely that the prices were well below wholesale. Because this is a "real" outlet, you DO need to have your "buyer beware" goggles on--the items can be damaged, knicked, scratched, returned items. But many seemed to be simply overstocked/discontinued. One of the best things was seeing re catalog items in "real life" ... So if it's something you've wanted, and isn't in good enough condition for you at the outlet, you can inspect it & wait for a catalog sale knowing what the item quality is before ordering. read more

My review is more about Frontgate customer service, than prices. I ordered and received a kitchen step ladder, but wanted to return it because it's design and weight was too much of an obstacle for easy use. On my end I had problems with the UPS store. The return was supposed to be pre-paid, but things were not working out well in that regard. Frantgate customer service fixed it beyond my expectations. They arranged for UPS to come to my door and provided me with the necessary stick-on documents to make it all work. And....it worked. This kind of customer service is memorable. It's not the norm.
