I hired Front Signs in May 2026 for an exterior sign for a restaurant in Westlake Village and paid a 50% deposit of $2,884.62. Four months later I have no sign, and they are still holding onto all of my money and refusing to refund me the money I am owed. Before I placed the order, I asked their rep directly whether the sign would be acceptable to the City. He wrote back that he had prepared the quote "so that it aligns with Westlake village sign restrictions," and that the sign "shouldn't be an issue." I also asked, in writing and before paying anything, what the minimum deposit could be in case the City denied the request -- I said specifically that we did not want to spend 50% and then have the city deny it. Nobody told me that the permit and survey charges would be kept regardless of the outcome. They sent a credit card authorization form and took 50%. In August they told me the sign could not be permitted as designed, that it would require a master sign program modification by the property owner, and that Front Signs was "unable to help with this." I asked for a refund on August 7. On August 10 their rep agreed, with no conditions, and asked where to mail the check and who to make it out to. The check never arrived. When I followed up in September, I was told the refund had been reduced by $1,050 -- $700 for a permit that was never issued, and $350 for a site visit where their representative was at my property for only a few minutes. The deduction was decided internally in August. I was never told about it. The rep who made all of these promises no longer works there. I offered to pay a reasonable amount for the site visit. They refused, and told me they would send the bill to collections. My advice: get every representation about permits in writing, find out exactly what is refundable before you pay anything, and think hard before putting 50% down with this company but better never hire them!!! read more

Extremely difficult communication and poor accountability. Discussed every detail a dozen times and went with their recommendation of how to come out with the best outcome for our budget. What I got are signs that are completely non functional and really not usable. Definitely dot all I's and cross all T's and make sure you see physical samples of materials. We order a sign from about 18 months ago. That sign cost us about "12 thousand" dollars. Now tue colors are fading away and they do not accept any responsibility for it. I called Miguel. His manner over the phone was not acceptable. First he claimed that it is because of water damage from the sprinkler system, but when he found out that water from sprinkler does not reach it then he said it is because of the sun. Well, the sign is in carpinteria and more than 60 to 70 percent of days are cloudy there. The purpose of the sign was for installation our side if it cannot withstand the sun there then their signs we be gone in 6 months in areas with a lot of sun. He was supposed to call me back more than 1 month ago which never happened. In a nutshell, I do not recommend them whatsoever! read more

I ordered marketing magnets with my business name and website on them and they came out amazing. They also produce and ship quickly.

I ordered foam core signs, they changed the sign material without telling us and sent us an overpriced piece of die bond instead. Looks like $600 of shit. They have no remorse. John from front signs admitted he did not email or call about the significant change in material from our request, instead he changed the material in the fine print on the proof and when we confronted him about it he held the contract over us. Not cool. The foam core letters for NY butter is what we asked for, the white die bond is what we got $600 and 2 weeks later.. we could have printed this out on a color printer for $595 less than what these criminals charged us. When we confronted them about it they told us that it didnt matter bc of their contract. Be careful. Front signs isnt so up front or honest. The 10/17 response from Veronika at Front Signs is dishonest. John from Front Signs told me he made the change without notifying us via phone nor email as he was swiping our credit card. Nice attempt to cover up Veronika, but if you and John were more up FRONT from the beginning this wouldn't be an issue. read more

We had initially reached out back in October of 2022 to Front Signs (along with other places) to inquire about approx cost of having some signs made for our studio/store front. At the time it was really just for cost and budgeting purposes as we were going through a rebrand so we weren't ready. Jonathan had responded to our inquiry in a very quick fashion and provided us with approx pricing along with their process. We had decided to use them after that initial exchange but weren't ready. They kindly reached out to check in with us a month or two later but we still weren't ready. So finally in January of 2023 we were ready! Luckily, The pricing did not change from the initial quote and we were able to get someone out to measure VERY quickly to get the order placed. They must have done 100 proofs for us because we had a kind of complicated sign... but regardless of how many times we asked for revisions they were always so gracious about it and quick in getting us a new proof. From the time of order, I believe it took about three weeks or so to get the signs installed. The gentlemen who came to install were so nice and very quick and efficient. Overall, the process was really easy and the pricing was incredibly reasonable! We will definitely be back for any of our sign needs and would recommend them to anyone needing signage! read more

The team at front signs were amazing. I had a super last minute request to uninstall a neon sign. They aren't the cheapest but after working with them, I understand why. First, Rose was very kind and willing to work with me on the budget and the scheduling. We had some issues with sending a cc auth through their website but for the most part, she was doing her best to accommodate me and schedule a next day appointment. V. Responsive. It wasn't their neon sign, but they arrived 10 mins early and got to work like it had originally been their job. They brought a box, packing material and carefully created a box that the sign would fit inside. Like they were box cutting on the street and taping the box up to make sure it was sound enough. Then they gave me and my box a lift up the street. I was a little nervous to get in the car with strangers but when the car started, Colbie Callait was on and I thought... I think I'll be ok. Haha. When it became obvious I wasn't going to be able to carry the cables and box up to my apartment, one of the guys, without me asking, just told me he would carry the box and walked me up. I was so surprised by their professionalism and attitude that I wanted to tip him.. he refused it.. which made an even larger impression. So listen. Use these guys. They will take care of you. I got a full interior make-over for my office with wooden signs, vinyl lettering, wall decals, the works... they're perfect and make the space look creative and professional. I can't believe there are bad reviews about their flexibility. I changed my designs so many times! Sign design 101 is scaling your drawings to a photo or rendering to show EXACTLY what the proposed sign will look like on a building. Apparently Front Signs does not have a graphic designer who knows how to scale drawings because they presented a drawing for approval as scaled, when in fact, it was not. The client they did the work for in turn received a VERY SMALL sign for the space, which looked NOTHING like their drawing. (see attached photos) They then tried to tell their client it was his fault that he didn't check their measurements. No, sorry, as a sign company it is YOUR responsibility to do a proper job check, get your photos and measurements and present a sign package that is ACCURATE to your client for approval. After reading other reviews it seems they have had this problem more than once. Additionally their installers never finished hooking up the electrical for the signs claiming they "couldn't find" where to hook up to. Beware. This company does not know what they are doing in regards to scaling drawings for approvals and therefore you will never get what you were promised! They must specialize in something other than building signage. There is no excuse for a major mistake like this! read more

I read the yelp reviews and decided to get my business signs made here, We'll let me tell you it was a huge mistake, The designer asked for the address for my business so I provided it and he made a sketch of what the actual sign would look like. The sketch looked good so we proceeded on to make the signs, after they made the signs they installed it and it didn't look anything similar to what we had discussed, the wall color in the sketch they showed me was a darker color than what the actual wall is,so the sign didn't look good on the wall and the sign was made very small, I called and asked what we can do about it because it's really small and the manager (Rose) said "that's what we showed you in the sketch", they didn't show me the dimensions of the sign all they said was we'll make sure it fits your wall accordingly, mistakes and misunderstandings can happen, most frustrating part was they didn't offer any help in solving the problem, I said can we do something about this,the manager (Rose) said we'll you need to come pay the balance before we can proceed. She called me every 30 minutes asking for the payment, after we made the payment she didn't even mention anything about how we can resolve the problem, I paid $4,000 for a sign that I'm not happy with, they could've said hey come on in let's see how we can get you the sign you actually want.
