Whenever I had a question about the process as well as any thing they did/ requested; it was always answered and in a timely fashion. They were able to get me closed (even earlier than originally planned) and all went well. The process was smooth , just required a lot of documentation but with these transactions you get what you put in. Send requested docs / info on time ; communicate openly and honestly and all will be fine. I had some loan conditions before full approval and my processors Dana / Erin made sure I understood how to supply information/ as well as ensuring it was appropriate format for my lender. I'm not even comfortable giving this company one star. The mortgage lender I spoke with did absolutely nothing except take my call and sell me on the refinance. The remainder of the experience bounced between talking to inexperienced employees between this company's turnover rates. My process began in August and they have notified me of my closing at the end of December. My lender also notified of the interest rate increasing from what was both guaranteed and fixed in August. He blamed me for this not this process falling within 45 days which was completely out of my hands. It was all through fault of their own, losing employees, and placing my and other customers loans on hold while rehiring and attempting to follow through on their work load. This has been by far one of the most unprofessional experiences I have encountered in my life. I would never do business with them again and would not recommend anyone else risk the time or the hit to their credit score. Pure garbage. After this much time has passed- the management doesn't consistently follow up with everyone neither.... never heard a word from the company in terms of an apology or possible remedy for all the trouble they have caused. I've only heard horror story stories more recently. AGAIN- take your mortgage/refinance elsewhere. ANYWHERE but here! read more

Don't bother. I've had better customer service at McDonald's during lunch rush. They don't care about you and the only time they remember your name is to pay overpriced bills. They didn't complete the work or call back when I had questions. Gotta pay for that nice car somehow though! read more

What I love the most about Front Range Mortgage is that Brian knows all the ins-and-outs of the industry -- all the hidden fees and tricks that can be used against you to make your mortgage more expensive -- and he uses them to help you get a better, cheaper mortgage, saving tons of money on one of the biggest purchases of your life. I use a car-broker to help me buy cars cheaper, and I'd never think about buying a home without a good mortgage broker because I don't have the time or energy to learn all about mortgages, I rely on people I trust, like Brian. read more

I called Front Range Mortgage to comparison shop with a couple of other lenders for a refinance. Front Range's closing costs and rate offerings were right in the middle of the other two lenders, and I actually did choose to go with a different lender. However, I give this company a 5 star rating because of my conversation with John- he was incredibly helpful and honest, and even assisted me with understanding some confusing points on the other offers I had received. Although I don't have a loan with Front Range, I would feel completely confident in suggesting them to anyone I know who is looking for a lender, and I will be doing just that when I have the opportunity! read more

I've worked with Brian and his team on four transactions - both purchasing and refinancing - simply THE BEST! Several years ago I found Front Range Mortgage after doing research on the internet - looking for an office that had experience with the VA. I had initially contacted two other mortgage offices and was given misleading information - mainly that I had to put at least 10% down in order to get VA funding. We are so glad we went with Front Range Mortgage for several reasons. First, we had started out working with a lender who is "supposedly" ranked highest in the US. Every time I called, someone new answered, and then told me something different from what I had already been told the time before. We literally never got the same person twice. Another reason - we wanted a VA refinance, and the other company kept saying we either needed a down payment (no, we did not), or there were "extra" fees because it was a VA refi, and that they strongly suggested we get a fifteen year mortgage even though we had other ideas. Then we saw an ad for Front Range Mortgage. I spoke to Brian Murphy and asked a few questions - I felt that I was getting straight answers. He kept us informed of all we needed to do, was great to work with, and even made sure the closing got done on time - working around our schedules, even though it had to be done in Denver AND on the Western Slope. So all I can say is that this was THE easiest mortgage/refi we have ever done in over 37 years of home ownership. Brian also has exceptional people in the office - Gabby was and remains so helpful, and we truly appreciate her assistance. January 13th was my call to get a refinance started. March 14th, we still aren't closed! It's one thing after the next. After three requests to the IRS for transcripts, they still couldn't figure out to use a MAILING address to obtain them. I made ONE CALL to the IRS and they offered to fax the transcripts. I was told late last Friday that closing would be Monday (today). After taking time off from work, I find out they are still waiting for payoff information and we are likely NOT closing today after all. Again, I made ONE CALL to my current lender and had them faxed. The delays are extensive and inexcusable. The extra star is because she is polite on the phone. If I hadn't already paid for an appraisal, I'd be on to another company. And, the delays were causing me concern for paying my current mortgage on time. Their advice was to let the payment go and just pay the penalty since it won't effect your credit until it's 30 days late. read more
