Matcha to go

Picked up a hot matcha to go. Based on other reviews, added a pump of vanilla since it comes unsweetened. Simple but hit the spot. I also appreciate their insulated cups. No need for cardboard koozies that slip off!

Maybe we picked a bad time (a Thursday afternoon) to pop in for a cup of coffee. The baristas seemed less than thrilled for customers. Their drip coffee is self serve and was cold and very weak. When we mentioned that it wasn't very hot, there was no offer to make us a fresh pot. Instead, they suggested an americano. Fine, that's ok, but also twice the price of a basic cup of coffee and also tasted like a basic cup of coffee. We weren't impressed.

Very nice staff and super cute atmosphere. I got a cinnamon toast latte I think it was and it was very good. The baked goods in the display looked super fresh but the ones in plastic wrap on top didn't so I just got coffee. Loved all the coffee grinders on the wall!

Great coffee and friendly service at this location! Stopped in for an afternoon brew and was not disappointed. They have plenty of coffee roasts and several specialty drink options as well as flavorings to create your own drinks and an assortment of baked goods. They have a food menu as well but we didn't try anything to eat this time. I asked for a cappuccino with coconut milk and sugar free English toffee syrup and it was delicious! The milk foam level was great and the flavors were perfect. My husband had a lavender latte and really enjoyed it as well. We would go back for sure. Thank you, Front Porch Cafe!

The coffee was great, nice atmosphere, good mix of locals, service was not the kindest.

A splash of coffee beanery, an entire section designated to tea, some baked goods, and lots and lots of merch available for purchase. This place, much like so many places here, is very unassuming on the outside, but when you walk in, your sensations are inundated with the choices! We walked in on a late Sunday afternoon for a quick pick-me-up and got the Heath Bar drink: the drink it was divine and refreshing (and lovingly sweet if you dig that sort of thing because I'm no coffee purist here, sorry), as was their spinach and cheese croissant that they kindly warmed up for me. Def worth a stop if you're in the area or are also in need of some caffeine.

Yay a coffee shop at the beach that opens at 6 am even on Sundays! I know it's early and a Sunday, but I was so happy to find this cafe while visiting the beach. As I'm writing this review, I realized that I went to the Nags Head location not this location in Kill Devil Hills. I'm assuming they are similar. If not, my bad. Well at Front Porch Cafe I ordered a matcha latte and chocolate croissant. They heated up the croissant for me, but it cooled off quickly surprisingly. When I went to eat it there wasn't much chocolate and it had hardened. It still tasted good and paired well with the matcha latte. They do not add sugar to the matcha unless requested. I asked for no sugar and it tasted great. Lovely strong matcha flavor. If you like sweet matcha, I recommend adding sugar to it. Overall good experience and I recommend this business to others!

Coffee bean selection.

Had the special drink named the Salty Beach and it was pretty good. It seemed like it took a little long to make because we were waiting for a while but the service was friendly and the place was clean. They have plenty of inside seating and some outside seating as well. They have a selection of little gifts as well as whole coffee beans that you can grind yourself. Nice little stop for a pick-me-up.

Great coffee and pastries in a friendly atmosphere. We'll be returning often during our annual vacation on the outer banks.

Very tasty latte, perfect cappuccino, best sugar free kids' hot chocolate. We make a point to visit every time we're in town.

Coffee Shop No. 410 Outer Bean…read moreKitty Hawk, NC September 5, 2024 If there is one thing I have learned over the last two in and a half years it's that a genuine smile and a warm greeting goes a really long way. It can transform an ordinary drink into something special. It makes the magic of coffee last throughout the entire day. I was immediately welcomed when I walked into the Outer Bean. Initially, I was bummed because cortados were not on the menu. I asked the barista if she would try to make one. She said sure. I gave her general directions and she walked to the espresso machine. A couple of minutes later she handed me a cup with two shots of espresso and a stainless steel pitcher with steamed milk. The barista said, "Why don't you add the milk in so you get it just the way you want." I thought this was a thoughtful gesture. I thanked her and made my cortado. We chatted a bit. It turned out she is Thai and my husband is Thai; and I love to talk about Thailand. I took a few pictures. We exchanged goodbyes and I exited the cafe with a genuine smile and a very positive impression of the Outer Bean. Smiles are free and they can elevate and/or improve any situation. Plus, folks always look better when they smile. I hope you make this world a better place by sharing your smile with someone today. Thank you to the barista at Outer Bean who shared her smile and made my day brighter. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

I grabbed a coffee at Outer Bean after fishing in Kill Devil Hills…read more To be fully transparent, I did not order food or specialty coffee. The coffee was fine, but nothing spectacular. It got the job done as I enjoy one cup a day and was a bit behind schedule. The place is small, but perfect for a coffee shop where take out is mostly occurring.
