I don't think I've ever been in a store that offered complimentary treats! She asked if we were looking for anything specific and offered any assistance. She then made her rounds in the store offering more treats to everyone. That was my first impression of this place and I was WOWED! We started to shop and this place has EVERYTHING! They have new and old items so if you're looking for a great baby gift or fun and handmade gift for a friend this place is where you should shop. They also have antiques, clothes, kitchen items, decor you name it! They have everything put together so we'll and gives you really good decor ideas! I can't wait to come back up here and shop! This is in the same place where the Kalamazoo Farmers Market is. I actually found out about it…read morethrough Nonla Burger's Instagram account, and since I was in town this weekend my friends and I decided to check it out. It was HOT when we went (about 90 degrees out) but the market has some nice shaded areas. There were a lot of vendors selling true vintage things (clothing, typewriters, records, etc.) and a few selling homemade things. I ended up buying a small Alice in Wonderland purse (clutch-sized) for $12 which I really liked. There were also a few food vendors on site - that day (8/5/18) there was Nonla Burger, plus a kebob stand and one other small food truck. We also had ice cream from Red Trike Ice Cream and that was super tasty. 4 stars instead of 5 from me because the bathroom situation could be better (they have Womens and Mens bathrooms by the "Office" area, which is in the middle of the market) ... apparently during the Farmers Market they have more of an indoor bathroom area though. Regardless of the weather, this was a fun time and I'd go back again when in the area.

I came in around 3 PM and wasn't greeted, which isn't a big deal, just unusual compared to my past visits. At 3:59 PM, a staff member approached me and said "we would like to close, it's 4 PM." The doors were already locked and the open sign had been turned off. I apologized, as I had mistakenly checked the hours for a different thrift store--completely my fault. That said, the interaction felt a bit abrupt and not very welcoming. I've always appreciated the environment here, and that's a big reason I shop here regularly. Unfortunately, this experience left a negative impression. With so many thrift stores around, customer experience really makes a difference and today felt very unwelcoming. Would like to note, I've been there around closing before and usually they make an announcement and are super friendly, today that was not the case.
