Honestly, when it gets to be about this time of year- the end of summer/beginning of fall, the vendors at Reits have pretty much either packed up for the season or have left already, going bargain hunting usually means heading on out the the local Goodwills and the few hardy souls who decide to have yard sales this time of the year. But now, you can stop on in here and search to your heart's content!
Just like Busy Bea, it features both indoor and outdoor spaces to come and sell your things, and it's much, much cleaner and brighter than it was- and there's a much better selection of stuff, especially since it's all active vendors and not just people leaving stuff on a shelf like the last few days of Busy Bea. There's a lot of different kinds of stuff here- from vintage games, to hunting and fishing equipment, even homemade baked goods that are miles above anything you can find in a local store bakery (I had the best apple walnut bread from a wonderful old lady here- I'd come back and buy full-size loaves of this and the banana if it was available)!
There's still plenty of parking, and the attached restaurant is still there- I haven't been in to give that a try, but I'm hoping to in the coming weeks.
Of course, you do have to be careful here- the booths are somewhat close together, and if you're not watching yourself with some big packages or things like a stroller, backpack, that kind of thing, it could lead to something going toppling, and this isn't really a place I'd bring young children unless they were well-behaved and were careful around breakables- there is a lot of vintage glass and ceramic and that kind of thing, so be careful.
Everything here is also bought as-is- if you get something home and something's broke or missing out of it, then you're pretty much out of luck- so examine and test before you buy- but don't wait too long, because otherwise that great deal on something could walk away with someone else!
As for me, you'll usually find me digging through the electronics, the books, the comics- because the one thing about this place is that nobody else has gone through the stuff- and the earlier you get here, the better selection you're going to have. Also, this isn't an in-and-out-in-fifteen-minutes kind of place- the more time you devote and time you take, the more you're going to find once you start digging, and by the time you get to the bottom and find that wonderful deal, you'll wonder just why you never came by this place before.
If you're interested, come by some weekend between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. and find yourself some amazing bargains!
