I hadn't been since they moved to the new location and have definitely been missing out. We were…read morethere right at open during the farmers market and there was an initial rush that died down after 15 or so minutes. The bartender was extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgable about the products; answering some questions I had about proofing. It's in a great spot downtown right next to the farmers market with plenty of street parking. There are a few sidewalk tables but a nice open space inside. The inside doesn't allow dogs, however, due to their kitchen. Speaking of... The pizza was pretty good! I feel the most important part of any pizza is the crust and that was the best bit of theirs. The fresh ground flour adds a ton of flavor and they got a decent char on the bottom and rim. The prices weren't terrible and 1 pizza with some booze fed both of us. My only gripe is that they go heavy on the cheese so the (excellent) crust can't hold up to the weight and wetness. That's made a bit worse by they fact that they use a high-moisture mozzarella so there's a lot of grease that can soup the whole deal up. All in all they make fantastic spirits, service is great, and now have good pizza at a decent price. I think this may be my go to spot for meeting friends when I'm in Northfield.

At first i thought a little pricey but once we got the food i was not upset at all. Everything was so fresh and delicious! We dined outside since we had our 2 yr old with and highly enjoyed the outdoor seating. The inside was very open and inviting! I would highly recommend you stop here if your in the area!

It was apparent that there were differences between the online menu and the menu we were given at seating. The portion size for a sirloin steak ($34) is incorrect on the table menu. It says 14 oz. The actual size was 10 oz. Additionally, although the steak was accurately cooked, it was served on a cold plate, so that by the time it was presented, it was no longer warm enough to melt the rosemary infused butter with which it was dressed. The steak was pretty chewy, considering the price. Also: The table menu advertised "Soup and Salad", in letters 3/4" high, implying that it was a combo. The only indication that there was a separate price for the soup was in very small print in a color so similar to the background of the menu that it was difficult to see in the dimly lit seating area. As a result, our expected tab of $63 plus tax was over $75. We noted that there are older, invalid menus for Reunion easily findable on the web. They actually come up higher in a google search than the current menu. But that's a different story. I brought these issues to the attention of the manager, hoping for at least a conciliatory apology, but she offered none, insisting that no one had ever complained about any of the issues before and that she saw nothing that needed to be corrected. I paid the bill as presented, and included a generous tip for the server. But we won't be back. People deserve better.

I have been here a few time before and definitely thought I had already written a review, but I…read moreguess not. I have been here two times in the last week and lemme tell ya.. this is quite the spot. I do suggest making a reservation because everytime I go here it is popping! What a vibey place, the lights aren't too bright, it gives a hip, fun, light energy and is not too pretentious but has INCREDIBLE FOOD AND DRINKS. Right now, one of their specials is whitefish toast.. if you enjoy fish at all, you need this. The fish is light and fresh, they put fresh dill on top and it is placed on top of some toasted sourdough bread perfectly. The fish is flavorful, a lil earthy and I feel as if there are capers or olives in in the fish mixture, whatever it is is fire! The burrata, beets, and citrus is a nice lovely, fresh, light app, the burrata is perfection with the beets and fresh, juicy citrus, drizzled with some oil and random pieces of garlic mixed in, YUM. I suggest ordering bread on the side with this one! The wings here are a staple and always delish. Crispy, hot, and coated perfectly in a light sweet chili sauce.. they hit the spot everytime. The housemade ranch is a perfect dipper. The other day I tried the chorizo and scallops... oh my goodness gracious.. it was a lil spicy and creamy with the bean puree and the scallops were buttery, light and divine! 10 outta 10 would do again. Finally, got the goat cheesecake, gluten free ginger snap crust with poached pears. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I want this now and in every lifetime! The cheesecake was light, yet decadent, deep, creamy with a light, unassuming flavor. The crust was delicious and the poached pears added that perfect fruit component. I got Liam as my server both times, he was helpful, attentive, had good suggestions when asked questions and didn't interrupt at all, amazing! This is the spot for any occasion!

The vanilla iced latte was also good but I'd recommend the miel. We ordered the burrata bruschetta without the balsamic and it's delicious. The focaccia that it's on is so soft and buttery. It tastes delicious. I got the eggs Benedict with no meat and the hollandaise sauce was yummy and tasted homemade. The breakfast potatoes are good. The cheesy hashbrowns has an interesting taste to me. Neither my mom nor I cared for them. We would recommend and we will be back. Our server was amazing and very attentive.

My quintessential breakfast item is eggs Benedict and cappuccino- this is how I begin my evaluation of good food. So it was a toss up between The Better Half and the Lakeville Brewing Co which share the same parking lot. AI told me to go to Lakeville Brewing for the Benedict if I expect it to be done right. However it said The Better half will have way better cappuccino. Entryway into The Better Half was nice . The ambiance reminded me of High Hat on Selby on Cathedral Hill in St Paul. However the warmth wasn't there at The Better Half. The big bar had a few people sitting there, bartender looked at us but didn't say anything. No welcome - no smile nothing. No host at the front door- there was only a sign saying "please wait to be seated". We stood there for about two minutes until someone came from the back to seat us. Our server was a different person, she seemed warm and personable. They should put her in charge as hostess. First impressions are everything. Also train the bartender to be talkative, that's usually why people go to bars- they know at least the bartender will be friendly. Cappuccino was decent and good sized, no complaints there. The Benedicts were executed poorly. The eggs were hard boiled on both dishes. Hollandaise was thick, tasteless and slopped all over the plate. It didn't look appetizing - we had to send it back. With that said the ham was a good thick slice and the potatoes were fried up well. But there was nothing special about the potatoes. Due to poor execution of the eggs Benedict and hollandaise, coupled with the stoic bartender who was unwelcoming- I'd have to give this place a 1.5 star. It's unfortunate since I want to cheer for the small town restaurants. There's so much they could offer in personal touch and experience. Unfortunately this experience left us feeling like "if this is the better half, then I don't want meet the other half." Management needs to step up their game, it's not fair to the workers to let guests start off with a poor experience and then have the food quality continue to degrade the experience. The server never gets a chance to earn a great tip because the bartender, lack of host greeting and poor execution of food overshadows the server who was trying her best. We tipped her well anyway but this is why the lengthy review.. For a breakfast place you gotta get your eggs right. That's 101 cooking.
