I even asked them to make a combination that is not listed (cherries and chocolate).and they obliged. The waffles are liege waffles, so they are on the sweet side, but I felt like the sweetness was mild and balanced enough for the toppings. The waffles are grilled crispy on the outside and held up its shape when toppings are piled on top. It is one of the best liege waffles I have had.

This place is very easy to find, and super cute inside. Very eclectic decor - from china (teacups,…read moreplates, etc.) to clowns, fresh flowers on the larger table in the back, and a lot of tables/seating packed into a fairly small, but cosy space. We were seated right away, around 10:15 on a Saturday morning. I ordered a coffee, and water - the coffee is not what this American is used to (very small cup), that was 3/4 full. It was ok, the breakfast sandwich was the true standout here. Beautiful presentation, perfectly cooked egg with a nice runny yolk, a generous pile of bacon, tomato and lettuce, on a toasted bagel. So good!

The restaurant itself is cute, the lighting and decor is bright and beautiful, and the service is out of this world. They're the friendliest staff and everyone was so inviting and chatted up every table. The food is scrumptious and they're using fresh ingredients for every plate they churn out. My husband ordered the Triple Madame which is a Croque but with an extra piece of bread and a spicy mayo on the side. The bread was so crisp and sopped up the yolk from the yolk from a perfectly fried sunny side up egg. I ordered the granola with yogurt. Sounds lame but let me tell you that the yogurt was thick and creamy and topped with homemade granola, sliced grapes, goji berries, blackberries, blueberries, and passionfruit. Delicious. Their coffee and fresh orange juice was just as good. Their specialty when we went was a red velvet latte which was months before I saw it on menus back in the states. I can't wait to return to Bruges and visit That's Toast! Please start selling totes though - I asked to buy one that day and unfortunately they didn't sell them. Sadness.

The lady even warned us, but being the fat greedy Americans we are, we went with large anyway. Bolognese was good. Four cheese was good - super creamy! It's a small shop with a large communal table inside. They have a couple tables outside too. A shop owner saw our take away boxes and validated our choice on lunch. I was glad to hear that locals enjoy this eatery too.
