Thanks to positive word of mouth, my Granddaughter suggested we try Frisco's Chicken for the first time. We placed our order for delivery, which included the 1/2 Chicken with 2 sides. Those included mac & cheese & yuca fries for her, along with cole slaw & green beans for me. We also ordered one of each flavor of empanada's to split and a tres leche cake for her and flan for me. First of all, the portions are more than generous. There is enough of the sides for at least a second meal. The half chicken is indeed a full half, with plenty of meat for a second meal as well as white meat for a sandwich or two later on. Next, the meat is delicious. By far one of the juiciest, most tender pieces of meat I've had, and I've had a ton of chicken in my time. The seasonings are just right. The cole slaw, which can be made in countless different ways, is among the best I've had in a long time. It is both creamy and with substantial cuts of cabbage (not chopped into fine pieces that are annoying to eat). The mac & cheese is not creamy, but is perfect for those who like theirs baked. I have never had yuca fries before, so I was leery to try them, but they were both hot and crispy, yet tender inside. Very tasty indeed. My only quibble was the green beans, which seemed undercooked to me. However that is strictly a personal taste. Many folks do like their green beans to be al dente. I simply don't. I will just order something different as my second side next time. I have to say that we were quite pleased with the empanadas too. Ranked as favorites for me was the chicken first, beef second, and cheese last. For my granddaughter, it was beef, chicken, and cheese. Whatever the mixture is for the chicken is very delicious. The beef is plentiful and quite tasty too. The dips were good, but I was surprised at the slight kick of the mild one. I wasn't expecting it, but it was tasty. Our favorite dip was the green one (can't remember what it was called). It went especially well with the chicken empanada. As for the desserts, both were excellent with lots of flavor and a generous slice. Well worth the cost. Speaking of cost, for barely over $25 each (which included delivery fees and driver tip), we both had enough yummy food for 2 1/2 meals. Can't complain about that at all. We happily recommend this place and will definitely be repeat customers whenever the mood for chicken hits us again. Two thumbs high up for this one. read more

I love eating at Frisco's, i'm there once a week with my family. It's definitely one of the best hidden gems in the city. Sincerely Michael P read more

We've been going there once a week for a couple months now. Really like the Brussels. Best Yuca fries I've ever had. Today was an awful experience. My order was supposed to be ready at a certain time. My wife was at curbside. Waited 15 minutes after the lady on the phone said, "I will bring it right out" with a screaming baby in the backseat. Didn't offer an apology. Nothing. Service in there is less than ideal. Food is good, but we only support restaurants with good service. With tough times like we're in right now, you'd think a restaurant would be more on top of their service. I guess they're enough food that it doesn't matter? Two stars simply because the food is B+. read more

Frisco's Chicken is a great restaurant and pickup delivery service from my house to the restaurant. I also smelled the atmosphere of the restaurant; like it's from a Latin American country, specifically Peru. read more

I saw signs recently that this place would be coming soon so when I discovered they opened I had to get in to try it out. Frisco's advertises as a Peruvian Chicken Restaurant, the first in this area. I crave variety in dining options so it's nice to see something fresh pop up around here. Frisco's cooks their chicken over coals and who doesn't love that? The menu works as such...you choose either 1/4 white or dark meat, 1/2 chicken, or a whole chicken. Depending on which portion you choose determines the number of sides that are included. Frisco's offers a good number of sides to choose from but the two that stuck out to me on the menu were the Peruvian fried rice and Yuca fries. Most of the sides are ready to go in the bain marie so you can see what you're getting. Just point to what you want and you're good to go. However, if you want the Yuca fries there is a wait since they are made to order. I didn't mind because I love Yuca fries and I was hoping these would be as good as some others I've had. While waiting, I added a Chicha Morada to my order which is a Peruvian drink made from purple corn. It was light, refreshing and had a punch like flavor. The food was ready and I was given my choice of 3 sauces to choose from. I got all three to be able to get as much exposure as possible to this food. When it was all said and done, the chicken was delicious, juicy and kissed with flavor from being cooked over coals. The Yuca fries were great, crisp on the outside and soft inside. Each of the sauces were unique and complemented the meal well. I will definitely return. Be aware that parking on the side of the restaurant is extremely limited however there is a parking lot across the street caddy corner to Frisco's. read more

It's a fast food restaurant. I prefer this over Burgers. I wish the plantains were softer but the food was decent.

DELICIOUS!!! I wasnt sure what to expect since I was not familiar with Peruvian cuisine. Well, let's just saw I am a huge fan! Chicken was amazing, empanadas were the best I have ever had, mac & cheese, Brussels spouts & green beans were all so tasty. Tres Leche fabulous & Chica Morada so refreshing! Do yourself a favor & check them out! Your 1st time wont be the last. read more

Stopped by for lunch and the food was amazing. The chicken was so moist and flavorful, brussel sprouts were delicious just the perfect amount of sweetness. Restaurant was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Tony stopped by our table to check on everything and we had a great conversation with him. Looking forward to them opening up a new location in Lititz! read more

Stopped in for lunch and got the whole chicken meal for our family. It was AMAZING! The chicken was cooked perfectly crispy and moist. Phenomenal. The sauces were flavorful. Empanada was the best I've ever had. We will definitely be back!!!! read more

Place is excellent all around. Family run joint serving the best lunch around. Super friendly staff. Hope work brings me back so I can visit Frisco's again! read more

First time I went to Frisco's they charged me 3.99for an arepa plus tax. Ok that's fine. What I didn't like was that they charged me an extra 80,.cents for a Gratiuity fee. The arepa was very small hardly any cheese in it. And the nerve to charge a gratuity fee without asking me. This was at Frisco's in Lititz in Warwick Township. ! Will never go there again ! read more

We just got takeout from Friscos in Lancaster. Holy balls it was amazing. I cannot recommend them highly enough. We had the family meal with the brussel sprouts (amaze balls), the fried rice (crazy good), all three empanadas (delicious one and all) but the sauces were spectacular! Eat there as soon as you can! read more

Frisco's Chicken Lancaster City - Empanadas, chicken, fried rice and brussel sprouts. Amazingly good! - Peruvian Near Me - Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Great food. I had the 1/4 lb. of white meat chicken with yuca fries and a pollo/queso empanada (~$15) which is a pretty decent deal for how filling it was. Decent enough service for the premise of the restaurant, Frisco seems like a nice guy. Hoping to see this place do well in the future. read more

Delicious chicken plantains & rice!! So close to everything easy parking. Excellent service I'm a cute cafe atmosphere!!

Chicken was delicious! We got a whole chicken, empanadas, rice, and plantains. Everything was so tasty. The whole chicken actually came as two separate halves. I was a little hesitant to go there since parking is such an issue downtown; however, it was worth it. We went at an off-time and they do have some spots on the side of the building so we were able to park ok. Can't wait until the Mount Joy location opens up. Looking forward to trying more of the sides. I really like their ordering system. Makes it easier for people to view all of the offerings. We tried all three sauces. The cilantro sauce was too mild for me. The Rocoto sauce was VERY hot, but the Aji sauce was just right in heat although I think I would have preferred having less dairy in it. Overall, it was a good lunch and we plan to go back soon. read more

What a great place definitely going back again. Such a great atmosphere, the owner came out and asked how the food was and talked to us, he was so nice. There food is delicious they have the best chicken and empanadas and everything else is also delicious. And the prices are good I really recommend this place. Give it a try read more

This chicken is the the truth. Had the brussels sprouts, plantains, corn, and tried all 3 sauces - everything was excellent!

The chicken was good, however I really didn't taste the charcoal flavor, this roasted chicken could've come from COSTCO for all I know - meaning there was no different flavor profile. With that said its good to have something different in town. BTW, don't be afraid to have real Peruvian food. There was a big tub of Mac n cheese there and cold slaw and for some reason it just doesn't seem like those are two major Peruvian staples, at least not the bland versions we normally get here. Spice it up! read more

Great food... sides were huge and tasty... chicken was fantastic... highly recommended if your into ethnic chow! read more

Today was my first time eating at Frisco's. Everything was very delicious and the staff was friendly! The only suggestion I would make to the company is to update their online menu to reflect that there are eggs in the chicken fried rice. I purchased a family meal to go and discovered at our dinner table that the rice had eggs in it. My husband is allergic to eggs and could not eat the rice. Other than that, we really enjoyed the food!! read more

We tried this spot after watching them for about a month get up and running. We got to go with all the Covid restrictions and were delighted with our choice. We understand new restaurants take some time to get rolling but it seems like they have it together. We got the family meal which is a great value. It consists of a whole chicken 2 sides and a 2L for $23.99. It was a great deal. When it comes to sides I'd stick to the Peruvian ones and steer clear of the others. I'm not going to give them less stars for the sides just being ok. The chicken made up for it. We got the Mac & Cheese for our 4 and 2 year old, they did not care for it and it was just ok in my mind, but hey we aren't at a Mac & Cheese place. My kids tore up the chicken and empanadas. By far we enjoyed the chicken empanadas better then the beef ones but both were good. Make sure to try the sauces. We really enjoyed the Cilantro and Aji sauces. Neither were hot but they were full of flavor. The staff is very nice and helpful. We ordered online but if this is your first exploration I'd suggest going in to order; you won't get steered wrong. A side note the backstory of the hustle and journey the owner put into his dream of having his own restaurant is a nice addition to the decor of the place. It's great to see the American dream for yourself. Although it's getting cold, I'm looking forward to next spring and utilizing their beautiful patio. Also like many restaurants in PA of this caliber they do not serve alcohol or beer, but I'm sure it's a BYOB (I didn't ask) so on your way over stop at Lanc. Brewing (it's at the end of the ally) pick up a beverage of choice and enjoy. Overall give Frisco's a try, you won't be disappointed! read more

See all

The best charcoal chicken I've ever tasted. Try the Lititz location for dine in. And the mount joy location for fast take out.

Delicious. We had a pollo bowl with Brussels sprouts, cilantro sauce, side of Mac and cheese and plantains. Everything was piping hot and so good. Definitely check it out. read more

This chicken was so good. We have a habit of being snobbish about chicken. And all food. But the plantains were exactly the right ripeness, fried perfectly. Okay, so the food was the best and we're going to be back every chance we get. There wasn't a huge crowd when we were there, so the owner made our visit special by telling us a little bit about his story of getting the place off the ground during Covid, and he gifted us some chicha morrada, a Peruvian drink we hadn't had before. We're gonna get that again. read more

This place is awesome. Recommend the quarter dark with yucca fries and sprouts. Get the yellow and brown sauces and mix together for a dipping sauce that is out of bounds. read more

I've been to Frisco's several times, and have enjoyed every visit. Their staff is friendly, their service is quick, and their food is AMAZING! You can literally smell the delicious charcoal chicken outside! Their Frisco fresh club is great too, I got a coupon in my email this morning and was able to add some extra sides. My favorite sides are the yuca fries and peruvian fried rice! read more

Enjoyed my first experience at Frisco's this week. Chicken was amazing! Nice that it was fast but fresh and delicious! Sides portions are very generous. I chose to eat in but many people picking up take out orders. Highly recommend!! read more

Overall great food but bad pick up experience, but I will chalk it up to opening pains for now. Chicken was fantastic. Yuka fries and plantains were amazing! I would get the Mac and cheese again but it was nothing special. I did not enjoy the green beans, they tasted like over seasoned canned green beans and I was expecting something more fresh. I am looking forward to coming back! read more

I was in the mood for empanadas. I had a chicken and a beef one and they were goody.

While on vacation stopped at this restaurant to try something different and really enjoyed the charred chicken. I didn't have a picture to share because I didn't think I was going to enjoy so much. I have eaten Peruvian food because but never in the states. They served a large portion of cole slaw and fries. I am not a brussel sprout eater but the ones they have here are pretty good. They have sauces from mild to spicy, I'm not to big on spicy but the mild cilantro sauce was very good and the aji sauce had a very good kick to it for my taste. To bad this place is located in Lancaster, PA because i would love to see it in my home state of Texas. read more

Not very tasteful like I was expecting.. I wouldn't order again. Very bland and sauces were not flavorful.

Delicious! We have loved every item I have tried thus far! The beef empanada dipped in the Aji sauce is top notch! The brussel sprouts are out of this world. It's a very welcoming atmosphere - Tony has great customer service and takes the time to really connect and engage with customers. We definitely found our new favorite food spot! read more

All I have to say is that this place is overrated, and overpriced. You can get better and cheaper food at grand sabor. The Mac and cheese is mediocre, the chicken is decent, but I wouldn't pay 20 bucks for a whole chicken. You can go to weis or giant and get better chicken for 7 bucks. read more

Love, love, love Frisco's. We have ordered lunch for work several times. They take the time to pack individual lunches which during this crazy time of Covid is a great thing and very much appreciated. Everything I have eaten from Frisco's has been delicious. The chicken is so good, and the sides are excellent as well. The portions are great, I could not finish my whole lunch(a win for leftovers!) I would highly recommend! read more

My husband lived in Peru and this is the closest Lomo Saltado he has had since his return to the states. The portion sizes were huge! Everything is incredibly fresh and authentic. We don't live in PA, but will definitely return on our next visit. I highly recommend!!! read more

How hard is it to get an order correct??? I ordered 3 meals, drove 15 minutes each way, got home and discovered I have only two meals. I would have given you zero stars if that was an option. I'm so upset with your poor service. I won't be back. read more

Delicious chicken, so tender and moist. Enjoyed crispy fries and cilantro sauce. The pollo bowl was very flavorful. Staff friendly and most helpful. read more

This was by far one of the best places I've EVER eaten. Top 5 meals in my life. The staff was extremely friendly and to hear the story of Frisco and his passion only made the experience better. If I could give 10 stars I would! Thank you for the great food and experience read more
