Food was delicious! Friendly staff! Sundaes were great! We enjoyed our trip down memory lane in Friendly's and will be back!

The worst service we've ever experienced. Completely slow. They forgot an entire meal. The food was awful. This place should be condemned. read more

The toppings on the sundaes were very scarce. One of the people in our party found a half closed staple in their sundae. One of the people in our party also got very sick after eating there. Restaurant did not come across as very clean. read more

Waitress forgot things several times. Food we got was good. It's one of the only Friendly's left so I'd say go to a different one but...ya know. read more

When we got there we were brought to our table and the server got our drink order and it took 25 minutes of our time for us to get said drinks but Here's the clincher.... they did not clean the knife I got because of the fact that it looked dirty as heck they did not get our checks till 545 and it was 4 when we got there Ty Steven M read more

Friendly's - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - New Hartford, New York

Always the greatest. I've been visiting Friendly's in CT and NY since the late 1960s. My go to is always a Fribble (orange sherbert & vanilla) and a Jim Dandy. The main courses and appetizers are always great and you can never go wrong with a burger and fries (thousand island dressing for the fries! read more

I grew up going to Friendly's. The service was good then. You could get in and out without wondering where all the employees went. The food is still amazing and they have new ice cream flavors every week. The booths are too small, or maybe I am too big. Friendly's = smiles. read more

Awsome service, and even better ice cream!!! Jim Dandy, Banana split, it does not matter to me.

Everytime I go there I swear I wont go back. Wish I listened to myself. Besides the normally below average food, the service is soooooo slow. The poor waitress had to wait ALL the tables, clean the tables and take the money up front. Wait time to order food was long, wait time to order icecream after we ate was extremely long. Then when we received our icecream, my granddaughters M&Ms looked very old and tasted like that. How they can serve them is just plain wrong. See photo. read more

Friendly's - a bowl of colorful candy - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - New Hartford, New York

Lids on fribbles don't stay on so had a bag of slop upon delivery also treatment on phone to ensure order would be correct was very rude and yet again order was wrong, it's funny when businesses wonder why they are down on returning guests or why sales declined from the same sales from last year here is the reason, you can paint the building all you want but it takes service and quality to retain guests. read more

I ordered take out and picked it up on time. It was cold the honey BBQ chicken melt had no BBQ sauce on it or the dressing it normally comes with. Definitely a waste of money. read more

This is the second time this week and the service is lacking! Not sure if it's due to LAZY staff . But my experience was dry ! 35 min for ice cream ( 1st time ) Full staff but the waitress was more worried about her KIDS then us . Second time another waitress asked if we needed anything . Our waitress was in the back walking around talking about another employee Well I'm not sure whats up with this place . Sad read more

Really wish I could give negative stars. We ordered dinner and ice cream. The food was minimal but the 20 minute wait for ice cream. To finally get our favorite ice cream to have it suck completely. My fudge topping was scorched. When I spoke to the manager I was informed that the fudge topping was 40 degrees warmer then it should have been. Now my kid's are complaining about feeling awful and my stomach is hurting. Should be shut down do not eat there read more

My server Amber was the most sweet professional server I've come across is a long time. The food was top notch as always at this location. 10 stars for Amber and Friendly's read more

Went for ice cream. Got sat and received drinks. We waited 30 minutes and our server never came back. Absolutely horrible service. Never going back. read more

$5.55 for a fried chicken sandwich with fries. Meh We'll try to remember not to go back unless everything else is inconvenient. The waiter did his best. The staff is very friendly. The customers around us were spoiling everything with loud and demanding so that's not Friendly's fault. Maybe understaffed? However..... the "chicken".... was it? An American icon from childhood.... we always hope they're better than they are. Ice cream is usually pretty good. Didn't try it this time. read more

y'all really out here shitting on friendly's. You go there to relive the childhood we had ripped away from us not to be waited on hand and foot. Go to delmonicos or stop complaining about the m&ms they slap. read more

I can't even walk into this place without wanting to throw up just by the smell. This place needs some serious updating and needs that nasty rancid musty food smell out. So many people have said the same. I'm surprised they pass osha. It's a shame because the food is descent and ice cream is amazing. read more

My wife and I were out hitting a few garage sales, when she mentioned she was wishing for a Friendly Hot Dog.. just like the one she ate in the "old days" when she was in a marching band. So we stopped at this New Hartford friendly's .. we haven't been in a Friendly's for years but I figured I'd tolerate their normally bland food. I ordered an All American Burger with Apple Sauce instead if fries. Low and behold.. much to my surprise the food was delicious! Her hot dog was just as she remembered it and my burger was excellent. It was not frozen meat - and it was cooked perfectly .. the bun was excellent as well as the toppings. I expected blah but ended up with really good food - and the service (Brandy?) was excellent. Good job read more

The service here sucks, and has definitely been the worst service I have received. I ordered my appetizer right after we ordered drinks. Well after we ordered our lunch, my starter still never arrived. Not to mention my sister and mom didn't get their coffee. After waiting a full hour we got up and left. Very disappointing experience. Even people around us were getting horrible service as well. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! read more

I love this place, it's simple, the service is relatively quick, the staff are very polite and attentive. It's hard to mess up the kind of food that friendlies serves, but nevertheless it's always good, always reliably consistent, and well priced. The atmosphere is usually quiet and i enjoy coming here when i can. read more

Our first waitress was fine she just never came back after she brought our food. They were not busy what so ever. I had to ask for a box five different times. The waiter that came back in her place was absolutely rude and clueless. So sad to see this place go down hill. read more

I used to love Friendly's. I will NEVER go back again. My family and I went for just ice cream. The waitress took our order and after waiting 40 minutes and watching tables around us get food, eat their food l, then get ice cream we decided to ask someone to get the waitress. Our ice cream was completely melted and my brothers was the wrong size. Our spoons were not even sundae spoons AND THEY WERE STICKY we had to wash our own spoons. To add to the level of disgustingness the booth across from us had food all over the table and plates and was never cleaned up. Won't ever return. The manager never even came out. read more

Very busy for a Wednesday night. but service was excellent. Just had ice cream.

Service was very good. The burger and fries were way below par. The ice cream sundae was good. read more

This has to be the slowest place to go and eat in the afternoon. If you have children don't bother because you will be here forever. A simple thing like macaroni and cheese can take an hour. My kids like the food but the service is way too slow. It's not the waitresses - it's whoever prepares the food and ice cream. Must be only 1 cook during busy times? That's crazy. read more

Now don't get me wrong, those poppin' pizza bites, were absolutely amazing, and so was all the other food. Those french fries got me so hype. Amber was a doll, she was so good to us. My good friend and I were getting so excited for our big sundaes. The time was finally coming for my friend's Jim Dandy, and my Forbidden Fudge brownie sundae. I saw our sundaes out of the corner of my eye and boy was i drooling. This new lady comes over and asks who got the "Jim Dandy" and my very small friend said "I did". THIS MEAN RUDE LADY SAYS TO MY SOMETIMES NICE FRIEND "I figured" and laughed. NOW I AM ANGRY BECAUSE NO ONE INSULTS MY BFF. but the food was great 10/10 ill be there again, but just for Amber ;) read more

First of all, the food is great there. MHMM those appetizers really filled me up. I really recommend the mini mozzarella sticks and the pizza bite things. BUT DO NOT ORDER A HUGE FUCKING DESSERT!!! I was just trying to order a "Jim Dandy" and the lady who brought it to me (it wasn't Amber, luv u boo) SHE asked who ordered it and I politely said it was mine and her RUDE response really got to me..."I figured" and she laughed and walked away. I don't know what her name was but she has NO RIGHT to say that to anyone. BTW the "Jim Dandy" was spectacular. I will come again. read more

Don't order a thing from the window. Every time they screw up the order. Tonight I order a Reese's pieces sundae and they for the candy, marshmallow topping. read more

I had hoped to enjoy a special treat from my childhood, the original cheese burger and jr fribble on special this week. I cut the ad out of the observer dispatch and had it in my hand when I called to place a take out order. There were no conditions printed saying dine in only or that take out was not permitted. The staff would not accept the take out order and were not accommodating at all. read more

I am only an ice cream girl but whenever I come in they are quick to acknowledge, always friendly, and make my ice cream amazing :) thanks!

Sorry, but now I understand why Friendly's was taken over. The burgers on this location were horrible and wont be coming back again. You can get real burgers at Wendy's. On the other hand the service was great. The waitress was very patient and check on us very often. read more

Horrible service. Waited 9 minutes to be seated. Was seated at a sticky table that wasn't clean after the last customers. Now I know Wh it's been 1 years since eating at friendlys. :( read more
