Friendly's is pretty consistent. If you have been there before, you know the experience. This particular time we had a great server. She was wonderful. Your waitress makes a difference in your experience. Her smile actually made the food taste better. We didn't get anything fancy. In order of grilled cheese and French fries and I had a fishanajig and french fries. She told me she was going to give me a senior order so I can get a free happy ending sunday. My order was the same size as the kids meal on the table. Very small sandwich and a small order of fries. I'm not complaining because I need to cut down fried food anyhow. It just wasn't what I expected. I know, I'm probably the only one that order is fish from a place like this. I do not eat red meat. Be aware there's not a lot of choices if you don't eat or chicken. Speaking of chicken, I was two chicken to try the tuna

Went to Friendly's in Massapaqua Park , we were greeted with a smile and sat us down right away , place was packed but moving quick. We sat and had dinner and our service was amazing we had Jennifer which was professional and was on top of everything. She was so friendly and happy and you can tell she loved her job . She does it well. Great service. And at the end great ice cream. Thank you for a wonderful evening

Forbidden Fudge Brownie Sundae

The last time I ate at a Friendly's was in 1985, and it was in Massachusetts. Fast forward to 2024 on Long Island when we got ice cream sundaes from Friendly's in Massapequa Park. All these years later, Friendly's is going strong and still turning out excellent ice cream desserts. I ordered a Forbidden Fudge Brownie Sundae, and I got it with Hunka Chunka PB Fudge Ice Cream and Toffee Crunch Ice Cream. The ice cream was really creamy, flavorful and downright yummy. The brownies were moist and chocolately, and I especially liked the marshmallow sauce and hot fudge. Excellent quality fudge and lots of it. They sure packed a lot into a to-go container, and it took me two different sittings to finish one serving. Double the pleasure, double the fun... not to mention, double the YUMMMMMM !!! Can't wait till we visit family on Long Island again... we'll make a return visit here FOR SURE !

It's nice to go to someplace new to me. It was hard to find parking because of all the snow from the 3rd snowstorm that is still not clearing the streets and sidewalks. Hubby dropped me off and found one. It's a kitchy looking place with many TVs and multiple levels. The door to the place looks like an English phone booth with 2 dialup phones in the entryway. Our waiter Joe was very nice. The girl who sat us gave us our menus right away. I had to wait for hubby to park, but I had time to look over the menu. All the choices sounded good. Hubby wound up with a Spinach Benedict with Roasted Tomatoes with nicely Crispy fries and a lemon Benedict sauce to die for. I got a Avocado Toast with Goat Cheese and Caramelized Onions on whole grain toast. The Arugula salad that was also on the plate was covered lightly with a lemony dressing. I added Cholula Sauce and it was so good. Another point I'd like to make is that the bottles of hot sauces were clean with no cruddy tops. That turns me off so good for them. I would definitely go back.

Otherwise it's residential parking. Their happy hour is 5-7 and good prices. They have a variety of apps. Draft and margarita specials. They have some interesting flavor margarita options so we thought we would try them. The lychee tasted nothing like lychee and the tequila understandably was prolly house but It just tasted like cheap house tequila. The white peach was decent. The apps were okay. The shrimp was not what I expected but it was crispity and we enjoyed the sauce. You can never go wrong with a pretzel. The buffalo chicken lettuce boats(not pictured). The lettuce didn't really work as a boat and it seemed like there were more crispy onions than chicken. The bar area was cute and they have a separate dining space that could be good for some kind of event. Our waitress was nice. Overall it was okay. I was expecting better cause it always seemed packed but if you're looking for a casual bar spot for good priced happy hour bar food apps, this could be the spot

I reached out via email and was responded to by Claudia, who made everything such a breeze. For the group size I had I was given options for a 3 course meal plus 2 hours of brunch drinks for $55 a person. The children in the party were given their own menu and were charged $25 which, especially these days, was a great deal. They printed special menus and allowed me to bring in some decorations as well which was appreciated. I paid the $25 cake cutting fee and they made it so special by putting in not only the candles and toppers I provided but also a sparkler which was very nice. For food our menu was fried mozzarella, buffalo chicken egg rolls, and donut bites to start plus the amazing bread they brought to the table. For entrees the 4 options were the chopped chicken and feta salad, penne Ala vodka, French toast, and avocado toast. Everyone enjoyed everything, especially the salad! The kids got buttered noodles, Mac and cheese, and chicken fingers. All was very good and portions were plentiful. They provided cannolis and then served up the cake. It was great. The bloody Mary, mimosa, and sangria were also very good. Our server was a sweet young girl who worked very hard for us. I can't say enough good things shout out experience this time around!

They were creative yet still accessible for our children to enjoy. My favorite dish was the steak served with the most delicious jus, cooked perfectly! Some 2nd place ties were the tuna tostada, and the spaghetti cacio e Pepe. Desert was hands down the shining star with the bread pudding which tasted quite a bit like my pouding chomeur, otherwise known as "poor man's pudding". The drinks were fantastic as well. I tried the Davy Crochet and the Oak tree, hubby had Rendez-Voodoo and One of the Boys. All 4 were delicious, however my favorite was the Davy Crochet . The kids tried the mocktails and really enjoyed Happy Together which was quite sweet and refreshing. Sudden Moves was also enjoyed. Would highly recommend, for a date or family outings.

This place is described as tapas-style, so some dishes are on the smaller size, but the more expensive dishes are full portion: the burger, chicken, pasta w/crab, etc. Seems they also change their menu very regularly, as I saw some fantastic looking things in the pictures here, none of which were on the menu. On the more expensive side price wise, and there is a full bar and bourbon selection to punch it higher. Tried a few things, some I'd skip if I came back, but also a few things I'd like to try that I didn't get to. Skippables include the Gouda Gruyères: onion soubise and the cacio e pepe, both underwhelming and more expensive than it should have been. I also tried the gem salad, chicken wings, the rigatoni with sausage and broccoli rabe, and the flan for dessert. Flavors were good, the wings were very heavy on the salt but had good flavor, and everything else was covered in tons of cheese, from the salad to the pasta, it was a lot. Service was quick, waitress friendly. People in the area seem to absolutely love this place and overhearing people talk, there's nothing bad on the menu, and the corn agnolotti was delicious (I was sad to have changed my order, this is what I was originally going to get). Interested in seeing a fall menu for this place!
