The displacement and shock of losing home left one dog with such anxiety and ptsd and neither had ever been boarded or separated from their human. The Lodge and Animal Hospital called us daily with reports on their "emotional well being", and did Everything they could for them based on knowing the situation and they assisted me as the family contact in finding great piece of mind that the dogs were ok. Though the facility kennels each dog separately we requested they be walked together and treated as a bonded pair to minimize the larger dog's stress. They heeded every request they could understanding the emergency situation the dogs were still undergoing. It was a huge blessing, considering we wouldn't be able to drive down for one before our wedding. In general, we were reluctant to leave our two pups, Milo and Enzo, at a boarding facility for the first time because we have never left them in another person's care who wasn't a relative. But we are so glad we did and that we had a wonderful experience! Naomi took great care of them for 4 days. She was very responsive, professional, understanding, and most importantly, kind. She gave them all the attention, love and care they seek and need. We were impressed with her clean facility and were relieved that she was able to separate the two dogs during meal time as requested. She was easy to work with when it came to the dogs' specific schedule and instructions, and she was very open and flexible to our needs when it came to pick-up and drop-off. We trusted her so much that we even extended their stay by one day! She was fantastic and we are so glad we know who to go to again for future dog boarding needs.

Granted she is much better then when we first got her but we've already been told she has too much anxiety for daycare with tons of dogs. The moring of we where so nervous for her and how she would react, would she run away, would she bite, would she howl all day for us? The complete opposite actually, our feelings where hurt because when I say we handed our Emi over and she walked away and didn't even look back, literally did not look back!!! lol. Off to legoland we go I suppose, not to long after we received an update from Debroah on Emi on how sweet she was and what a good dog she was. and throughout the day we received updates and pictures on what silly and sweet girl she is lt made us proud of being her parents, considering where the level of her anxiety was when we first adopted her to feeling secure in herself to be with strangers and feel safe with them. I was so pleased I made the right choice to go small and independent business. When it was time to pick up Emi several hours later we weren't even sure she'd want to come home with us but she was indeed happy to see us and we heard story on her walks in the neighborhood and how well she got along with all the new dogs she met and it was the start of what I hope to be a long standing relationship of our new dog sitters whenever we are in San Diego.
