Friendly nails does a good job. My favorite thing about them is that they assist you quickly and get you in and out. They take the appropriate time for pedicures but if it's just a color replacement, speed is what they are going for. I was in the neighborhood and had some time to spare and thought I'd treat myself to a relaxing pedicure. I arrived and was immediately assisted and my service began. The gentleman that did my service was pretty cold and unfriendly but that's not a problem since I didn't require a full on talking experience-I just wanted to relax with a good pedicure. I selected my pedicure and the color and immediately felt rushed. I didn't have time to soak which was surprising because it wasn't incredibly busy. There were about 6 people in the salon with about 4-5 techs sitting around waiting for patrons. All in all my pedicure lasted 20 minutes which I felt was extremely short. The tech rushed and I could tell by the end result-my toenail polish (gel) is puckered where it didn't dry sufficiently. I visited in the past and had a not so good experience but decided to give it another try. I won't be back-the customer service is severely lacking. I live close to Shops at Guilford and have been a customer several times. I have never been disappointed with a visit. The salon is very clean and quiet!!! There is TV available to watch but the captions are on instead of blaring shows. The salon had soft music playing which helps with relaxation. Got a pedicure & the scrub was better than the actual paint. There are a lot of inconsistencies when the actual gel polish and it's been 3 days and the GEL polish of one toe has already completely came off. I've never had this happen and definitely feel as if I wasted $55. The service was pretty good but having 4 workers bounce between a store of 15 people seems to leave a lot of room to miss the details and quality you would expect for the price. read more

I have been a very loyal customer for almost 8yrs. I've been getting the golden pedicure for a while and prior to that I got the herbal pedicure. All staff know me well and I have never had a problem in 8yrs. My daughters also frequently visit. Vivian (owner)puts great effort into quality service and quality products. I tried going somewhere else once, i caught a fungus. I appreciate the cleanliness of friendly nails. Frequently you will see vivian sweep and all the staff maintaining their areas. Tina, Beth, Megan Kelly, and Ella give great pedicures But Tina & Beth are my favorite. Ella is my girl for design. I love her . Beth is the best at coffin nails and Tina and Megan does great manicures. Kelly does a little bit of everything. Everyone is great . My home away from home. If you have sensitive skin and latex allergies be sure to let them know so that they use nitril gloves and request the golden pedicure its perfect for sensitive skin and leaves your skin feeling fantastic. read more

I have been going to friendly nails for over 3 years now. The customer service is usually very good. My favorite tech is Sue. She went away for 6 weeks and I was forced to use the other techs available. On one visit I brought my 5yo daughter and was charged 28 dollars for her pedicure, which for her is just nail polish applied. I was shocked that they would charge such a ridiculous price. I paid for it and made a mental note to talk to Sue about it. She never charged me more than 5-10 dollars for her pedicure. I went there again before Sue returned. I stayed with my nails wrapped in acetone for over an hour. Customers that came after me were serviced, which was unacceptable. I got tired of waiting, so I removed my own gel polish and cleaned the work station up . I gave the young lady that wrapped my nails a two dollar tip and left. I have never received such disrespectful customer service. I will never have my nails done there again unless Sue or her husband Landon are present. Do not Go here;save your money-- my family & I (three of us) came in for pedicures and we asked them several times "if they provided hot wax with the basic pedicures" - they said "yes" multiple times. My family member and I had our tubs filled with water & they left my family member soaking in water for over 30 min waiting for someone to start his feet. The young lady that was doing my feet broke my toenail because she was being rough and then proceeded to glue my toenail down ‍ she barely scrubbed the dead skin off my heels & after she was done painting and oiling me down with a lot of oil- she walked away & left me for over 20 minutes without informing me that she was "done". So I sat in the pedicure chair with extremely oily legs and feet & asked after 20 min "am I done" & "you all aren't going to use the hot wax on my feet"? They all acted as if they didn't understand what I was saying. Additionally, my other family member that came in with us came in for a manicure. They didn't paint the whole finger nail and it looked like a middle schooler painted her finger nails- the gel was super clumpy- If I could give this place a 0 star I would. At the very beginning, she asked if I wanted her to cut or shape my nails. I told her to make them more square because that's what's I like. She takes a long time to get done because she keeps stopping and making jokes with the lady beside her and she is going in weird steps. When she said ok all done, I said what about the shape and she said well that is already square and I didn't know you wanted more. I told her that I asked at the beginning to not cut to make more square. Like I said, my nails are short but another lady who I believe is in charge actually makes my short nails look how I want them. I wouldn't mind paying the price if I was receiving more for my dollar but I could get the same service at the mall and saved $15.00! Vivian the owner even explained to me what I should look for when having certain services done to ensure I get the best result. I sincerely appreciated that. So first off they do great pedis consistently. What is inconsistent is the price. We get handed a flyer that clearly states the pedi special is $40. We check out and get billed $50. One time I was charged $35. I can't get details on the prices when I ask so watch out. I've gone here three time with a different price each time. The last time I got gel polish and my friend got no polish, not even a clear coat, and we were charged the same price ($50) when we were handed the special card for $40 again. So I will start with location. This shop is near Starbucks which is wonderful. But the customer service is great! Because it was my birthday I was offered a French manicure with no additional charge. I haven't had a French Mani since the early 2000s and feared the looked would be dated but tired it anyway. The tech did a BEAUTIFUL french manicure but I hated it. She tried to reassure me that it was beautiful I was disappointed and told her I would keep it anyway. This awesome woman could tell I wasn't happy and redid my entire manicure in a lovely pink gel color I chose. I wish I had gotten her name but she has braces. service needs a lot of improvement. my friend and i went together, when we sat down i picked my color and my friend didn't get to see the samples bc she was taken to another seat. By the time i was done, my friend was almost ready for polish and didn't even get to pick out her color. so i walked to the back and picked up the polish samples and a lady yelled at me bc they were not in their proper spot in the back. i explained to her that no one gave her anything to pick her color. The same lady who yelled at me did my nails and took 10 minutes. i wanted to get a fill in with gel. by the time my friend was done she had finished my nails and another lady's full set. she did not buff my nails down so they are super thick and did not ask me what shape i wanted, if i wanted to cut them down, she also didn't put a top coat on before the gel color.
